Much has already been written about Lindsay Lohan's recent troubles, some of it musical, so there's no need to go on about them at length here.
Instead, let's briefly discuss the ripple effect, which is what happens with other people decide that celebrity lifestyles are so desirable that they must be foisted on innocent little children. (The words "innocent," "desirable," and "lifestyles" should all be in ironic quotation marks, but that starts to look cluttered, and it "disrupts" the "flow" of "thought.")
After you watch this video -- can it be real? -- a number of questions will no doubt spring to mind, but the one that got me was this one: how can every kid be the tannest kid in the class? Isn't that impossible? (h/t: BWE)

46. first of all the girl got a spray on tan, so she can't get skincancer from it (but maybe they'll find this to be true later on when the dyes in the spray turn out to be toxic)but $1300 to look like an oompa loompa is definitely a lot of money wasted for nothing, I wouldn't even pay a dollar to look that orange

47. Is mama gonna buy the kid booze and drugs too??? Howsa bout the mother giving herself a lobotomy....she'll save her kid a bunch of grief.

48. This made me soooooooo sad that this is happeneing to kids for their school pictures! I agree with Llisa, the mom IS triing to live her life through her daughter, and people wonder why drugs and surgery is starting to affect younger and younger... (so sad) This girl is not only going to LOOK like Lindsay Lohan, she's going to BECOME Lindsay Lohan- drugs and everything! So this is how the other half lives...

49. Now this is child abuse. Forcing your child change the color of their skin? I'd like to take the Mom to a booth that sprays on common sense. The 1300 dollars is irrelevant compared to her gross lack of judgment. This will come back to bite this Mom in the butt when one day she realizes she has taught her beautiful little girl to be just as shallow as she is.

50. I hate it when people talk crap about every single Californian just because one rich bitch gets on TV. Guess what?! Not all Californians are like that. 99% of us wear sunscreen, don't dye our hair, have real body parts, and do not live in the O.C. Don't believe everything you see or read and don't judge an entire state of people on one retarded mother's actions. It makes you just as ignorant as her.

51. I think it should not matter what state its in, california, florida, it cannot be acceptable to subject a child to that environment. The mother is being completely out of line and actions should be taken against her. The most appalling thing about this is that it IS acceptable to do this in california. Now i live on the east coast and I am horrified by this behavior, were I am from this is totally unacceptable and the law here is 16 years or older. I think that california bigheads need to step up and stop this, its child endangerment. This mother needs to be removed from her children.

53. this cant be real if it is the mom should be shot, Im sorry! White girls and women dont need to tan for F sake! or get tattoes to cover their beautiful skin!!! I love my girls pale!!!!!
Howard at 4:52PM on May 31st 2007
54. If this isn't child abuse it should be. Cramming your child in a booth to change the color of her skin? If only we could take the Mom to a
booth that sprays on common sense. The 1300 dollars is irrelevant
compared to her gross lack ofjudgment. This type of tanning does not
cause skin cancer but who knows what breathing in all that crud does
to small developing lungs? Even more importantly, what message is
this idiotic Mom conveying to her daughter? It doesn't take a genius
to predict this will bite her in the butt when one day she realizes
she has taught her beautiful little girl to be just as shallow as she
is.

Smart shopper!

56. I think the mother was totally justified in her actions. She just doesn't want her daughter to grow up to be ugly; a trend that is increasing in the USA everyday. Whether it be fat people or just grotesque, there has to be an end put to it. This woman is taking a step in the right direction.
