I'm pretty conflict-averse. I even hate hearing about other people's confrontations. So I was particularly unsettled when I heard about Bjork dissing Bob Dylan. The two will be touring together soon. How uncomfortable is that?!
It begs the question: Bjork or Bob Dylan? Who's your pick?

1. Bob Dylan first and foremost, how can you not enjoy the free wheelin' Bob Dylan over an 80's band despite my insatiable lust for new wave music.
Now A Flock of Seagulls, that's another story.
Totally tubular,
Your friend Blayze 'EMCee Shaglot' O'Brien
Also Mo, try and be around Avenue Q's theatre, (John Golden) I'll be around there today, I'd love to be on one of your video blogs.

2. That's a joke, right? Bjwho vs an artist who, a) has written somewhere between 500-1000 songs, covered by literally hundreds of artists, b) has won awards from multiple Grammies to an Oscar, c) has played command performances for the Pope and a president, d) influenced everyone from The Beatles to Foo Fighters, e) wrote "the greatest song" ever, f) was listed as one of Time magazines 100 most most important people of the 20th century, g) is the first musician nominated for a Nobel Prize, h) well, you get the point, although I could easily go through "z" without really exhausting Dylan's accomplishments.
The only knock on Bob is that gold lame shirt he wore at the '95 Hall of Fame performance (does Bjwhozit have one of those, by the way)?
And, really, that was still WAY cooler than a swan dress.
Dumb question.

3. For songwriting (of songs that OTHERS will sing), I'd say Dylan has that covered. His voice does suck.
But for performances... Bjork without a doubt.

4. This is like saying
"What is greater, The Nile or The Great Wall Of China"
Contests like this will always end in a 'My Hero' vs 'Your Hero' situation with 2 sides not backing an inch down, ever- no conclusions will be reached and nobody will benefit.

5. Bjork vs Bob! That's like comparing Barney to Jesus.

6. I was so much older then; I'm younger than that now.

7. Seen him a few times; he behaves as if he is freaking king of the world; whoever playing with him are .. well, shit. Ok; I grew up when he first emerged, first stuff came out. Great song writer, but dreadful personality.
Have alot of info backing THAT up (beyond rumour) and Bjork is not going to have a great time touring with him.
I have to applaud her for stating her opinion!

8. a pointless battle between the no-longer relevant vs the never-was relevant. who cares.
(p.s. no lectures from the hippies please. none of the old folkies preaching peace, love and understanding had any affect on our society, or we wouldnt be in the mess we're in today. it's that generation thats in the white house right now.)

9. Bjork to Bob? Apples to Oranges? Both have their place in their own genre. Ludicrous to ask such an addle brained question. Besides, I like them both. I'd love to see the two of them work on a record together.
If Eno can work with Devo, Bowie, Talking Heads, U2, Pavorotti and Paul Simon... why can't Bob and Bjork team up?
I'm just hoping that Yoko doesn't lend vocal support. And I like Yoko.

10. They both have strange voices, but Dylan is a gifted songwriter, poet, and thought provoker. As for that bizarre bitch Bjork, the only thoughts provoked by her sound are of silencing the woman who dresses in swan-wear seemingly imitating the mating calls of the now embarrased waterfowl!! Wish I was a reporter. He He...

11. Well you do have to consider that Bob Dylan has said there hasn't been any worthwhile music in the last 20 years...so Bjork would fall under that category...I would definitely choose Bjork and I think your making it sound bigger than it needs to be..she said she never got into the whole rock and roll thing so it isn't anything personal. And I don't really like his music anyway so...yeah. Plus how can they compare? They are completely different and they both seem to have "hard heads"...anywhooo...
Just my Two Cents.

12. Is this a trick question??
DYLAN of course. No question!!

13. VS, who's #1, world champions, blah blah blah, first to the moon?
Who cares, bob certainly doesn't care, bjork might care a blink of an eye.
Whose blog is this by the way?
I like bob so I say bob, If I knew bjork’s work as much as I know bob’s then I might say bjork. I think she is awesome too.

14. "nobody has to guess
that baby can't be blessed
'til she finally sees
that she's like all the rest"
Dylan, of course. And really, Mo, I can't believe you actually asked that question.

15. I like Bjork but she simply doesn't even belong in the same sentence as Dylan.
Dylan will be remembered and studied for as long as the music of the 20th century is remembered.
