A Temple undergraduate singer and lyricist, a thirtysomething ad executive, and a voluptuous actress/model walk into New York City. It's either the setup to a joke or it's the setup to this joke: a slow-jam spoof that celebrates the masculine (and political) charms of Illinois Senator Barack Obama, complete with double-entendre lyrics and outfits to match. This new brand of viral creativity, or rather the new viral distribution model that helps popularize old forms of creativity, raises many important questions, including this one: Was R. Kelly busy?

603. This is obviously an attempt by Republican dirty tricksters to discredit Obama's campaign, or for the most part, the Democrats. Expect unflattering Hillary Clinton videos to emerge before the election; perhaps an embarassing Bill Clinton video or audio quote, or maybe another adultery scandal. Anyone remember Watergate, The Plumbers, Gordon Liddy, Donald Segreti, or the White House bad boys, like Halderman, Erlichman & Dean? This is the 21st century; assault the airwaves! Also, expect the Democrats to launch a few of their own assaults/insults on the Republicans and President Bush before November 2008. Remember, you heard it here first...

What the people of Illinois and ALL America needs to know is that in a recent meeting with some United States Citizens, some from Illinois themselves, Senator Obama has stated that he may not Co-Sponsor S.311 - The Anti Horse Slaughter Bill. In essence, it seems that Sen. Obama would rather believe the lies that the American Veterinary Medicine Assosciation and the Horse Slaughter Plants are feeding to the public than to believe "black and white" proof that this barbaric, inhumane process continues in the United States despite the wishes of 85% of The American People. The people of Illinois have spoken by making it a State Law to make it illegal to slaughter horses in the State of Illinois, but apparantly, money supercedes THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE" and the judge has allowed this slaughter to continue. By the way, the American Veterinary Medicine Association is a "special interest group" who benefits from "special favors" given by the United States Government. Why shouldn't they lie? And in the year 2004, these slaughter houses only paid $5 in Federal Income Tax. If you don't believe that slaughter of horses is INHUMANE - then I strongly urge each and every one of you to go to these 2 Web Sites and view the UNDISPUTABLE videos of what these creatures endure. IF YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT YOU SEE - CALL Sen. 611. Clearly it is a simply a funny spoof about people who get infatuated with politics without really knowing anything about it. Risqué associations have been lurking just beneath the surface of ordinary political vocabulary at least since Roman times. It is great new riff on an old political metaphor. Come to think of it, I have seen none better.
