If you thought the Mike Gravel "Rock" campaign video sounded bizarre, here is another one titled "Fire", you can also check out what the Mike Gravel campaign website has to say about the bizarre videos.

You gotta love this man, he's obviously having lots of fun with his campaign. Here he explains how this video is the result of a couple Art students.

1. Hey Jeff - I thought it was VERY amusing. The American people, both (R) and (D) expect and want a "dog and pony show" every election time, every two years. The reasons: (a) its the only time it seems that our government in Washington really focuses on US for once. We're analyzed market research style, and our minds are pampered with ads designed to appeal to us in a warm friendly way, or, in the case of the (R) style attack ad, outrage us over some misrepresented point or a non-issue.
TDS also reminded me of something my Dad (they're coming for two weeks on Tues and I can't wait - we have fun) back when I was in elementary school where I grew up, a town of 14,000 smack dab in the middle of the flatest part of the Indiana prairie. "Even though they never win in Indiana, the Democrat meetings are more fun."
However Mike Gravel has sailed far beyond my simple trailer park mind. I think the main motivation is that he has some money to spend even though he has no chance of winning, and truthfully wants to, just for fun, rise from being an L List celebrity to the H List.
The rock thing is beyong me, but the fire one might be good to save for a quckue midday 5 minute meditation on life (having nothing to do with him). Since its always summer here, when I saw it I was tempted to open for the first time my VAT19 tv constant fireplace DVD, but I think I'll save it until Chrismas morning, then we can go eat outside at a fabulous Miami buffet in business casual short sleeve shirts - no t-shirt.

5. "Mike Gravel, Crazy As Hell '08" I love the way people try and make sense out of this lunatic. This senile old geezer actually made the statement that "The US has no important enemies". Talk about scary! My take on the "FIRE" video, is that smoldering embers would be all that is left of the USA after Mike Gravel assumes the office of President. "Duh,if we pretend that we don't have any enemies, our enemies will go away"

9. Seven years ago when I saw Ralph Nader had videos on his website I knew that the Internet could determine the outcome of the election. Unfortunately, Ralph did not heed my message, and an e-mail I sent Michael Moore in relation to same was never answered. Yes, I know Ralph is a megaloegomaniac, yet his platform, especially in 2000, was far and above superior to his primary opponents. Think about it, reverting the tax structure back to what it was like in the early 1960s, when the wealthiest of income earners paid 90% on their uppermost income, would've taken much of the burden off the rest of us. How do the wealthy make their money except by human labor and earth's resources? We're not importing either from Mars so for them to only be paying 35% on income they paid 90% in the early 60's has done nothing but create more billionaires whilst leaving the average family struggling more now to make ends meet than they did 4+ decades back. Another issue was the illegalization of cannabis, which accounts for over 10% of US arrests, when those resources could be used to find real criminals and leave us safer. Those are just two issues. At the time, I suggested they also discuss our foreign policy in the Middle East, and the fact that we could be using hemp seed oil to fuel our automobiles, were we to make it legal. Adding one more biggie, and in 5 minutes time 5 big issues could've been discussed. Maybe that'll happen next year, only I've no idea who the third party candidate would be. Some have suggested Bill Moyers. - Dr. Kenneth J. Hildebrandt - http://majormediabypass.com

12. Dr. Kenneth J. Hildebrandt,
It's great to be a Ph.D.. You can came up with all sorts of idiotic proposals, theories and arguments and never see them tested in real world or being held accountable for the consequences. Who else can afford to be a delusional eccentric jackass and still make a comfortable carefree living.
