I'll tell you what we want, what we really, really want. The dream team. Gore-Obama 2008. GOROBAMA!
Deep in our hearts, that's what we all want. Obama sounds so good. His speech on foreign policy yesterday hit so many good notes. But we're all a little worried about two things. Does he have enough experience to win? In other words, is he quite there yet? And does he have the courage to do what is right even if it might not be popular at the time?

31. Gore-Obama? That's just what this country needs are more liberal Democrats in Washington. This country has been nearly destroyed by liberal political correctness. It will be the naive, ignorant liberal ideology that will be the end to our once great nation. If a liberal is elected president in the next election it will be the beginning of the end.

32. If we are stupid enough to put anyone in office that is in anyway affiliated with the Muslim faith we deserve the destruction that will surly follow

33. I voted for Al Gore last time he ran (as did the majority of the American people!), and I'd vote for him again....his beliefs, his honesty, his intellect-above-politics have become more and more relevant, not less. I'd love to see a Gore/Richardson ticket, because I see a potentially powerful symbiosis between those two, a motivation by what's truly important for the country rather than what's good for their own political future. I think America has learned the disastrous result of electing arrogant, self-aggrandizing opportunists - such a ticket as Gore/Richardson could appeal to both Democrats and disenchanted Republicans, the latter of which are many...

34. Gore for sure. He is the only person who can stop Hillary (who can't get elected). He has already been elected once. He can afford to wait awhile longer, probably until Nov. or Dec. before he jumps in the race. I don't see Obama as the VP. I think Edwards (of the group now running) or better yet someone totally outside the Washington political circle would be much better choices. (Maybe even one of the younger Kennedys, RFK, Jr., maybe).
We need a President who can stand up against the "powers that be" and end this war, restore America's position in the world, and improve this economy for the working people (not just the rich).
Al Gore is the only viable candidate who can do these things, while beating the Repubs. We have had enough of W, it's time to see the real President, Al Gore in the White House.
(It's also time to see many of the present "leaders" go to jail.)

36. I just finished both Gore's and Obama's most recent books. I can only wish that they receive the massive readership each deserves. Let us hope that the electorate uses fact-based reasoning skills this time around.

37. Gore/Obama is doomed to failure. Let's stop being sexist and pick the person with the most experience and join......Hillary and Edwards together so each can keep a check on each other. I don't think either one hunts or starts unnecessary wars for population control.

38. WOMEN OF THE WORLD WAKE UP! Vote Hillary and John Edwards on the same ticket. Experience is the key and the ability to be hard-nosed when it is necessary! Both have excellent qualities and can keep each other in check ! GET IT DONE PEOPLE !
Sam at 3:07PM on Jun 24th 2007
39. WOMEN OF THE WORLD UNITE AND WAKE UP ! Hillary Clinton/John Edwards is your best choice for intelligence, style, appearance and political savvy. They can both keep an eye on each other but get the job done ! MEN just don't do well do they? At least neither goes hunting or is known for starting a useless war !

42. To # 30 Saul,
Wow man and just where have you been for the past... oh let's say 6 to 61/2 years???? Really, do you not get tired of the same old songs??? If this amazing country is in the dumps at this time, I don't think it's the "Liberals" who caused it!!! Why not try to (for once) take a good, GOOD look around!!! You do own a TV set, read the newspapers??? Oh I don't know, listen to the people around you??? Something!! I got to tell you, I think you may just... have things a bit, oh I don't know, BACK WARDS????

Gumby69 at 2:54PM on Jun 21st 2007
44. Why does the Obama-experience thing keep coming up? Doesn't Obama have at least as much experience as Fred Thompson? And more than 1999 Bush did?
jrobie at 4:05PM on Jun 21st 2007
45. I think #41 makes a very good point!
And to #40, I was thinking maybe Gore/Bloomberg???
I would get behind that.
