Earlier in the week 7 Afghan children were killed by an American air strike, NBC reported this story and Bill O'Reilly got visibly upset because he believes reporting on "bang bang" stories "helps the terrorists."
This video comes from Crooksandliars.com, Olbermann and Huffington take a look at Bill O'Reilly's "Serious Reporting."
The Afghanistan Tag is participating in this weeks Tag Series, click the link and vote.
Just a couple related videos I would like to share. No matter what Olbermann says there is nothing wrong with reporting the dangers of bears.
Also Olbermann mentioned the O'Reilly's historical misinformation about the Malmedy Massacre. Here is the video footage of that O'Reilly gaffe (a New Low at the time)... Malmedy isn't even included in the list of worst O'Reilly moments.

46. As far as the media bias is conserned, I was a soldier in Afghanistan and saw the media bias first hand. The left always seemed to want to publicize what America did wrong. Their view of covering a story focused on civilian casualties, which were mostly loyal to the enemy anyway, and neglected the attention from the enemy terrorist that were killed who put roadside bombs for us to get hit by. The right may not be perfect but at least they try to look out for the soldiers and protect them. As far as Iraq being the wrong war, why was the Afghan market flooded with with Iraqi currency from the black market between the two countries. A link is obvious from those that have actually been over there and know what they are talking about. These people hate us, and consider it an honor to kill their children in suicide bombings. Why can't the American public see that? Doesn't the American people see something wrong when 1/4 of the Muslim-American Public believes that there is nothing wrong with Suicide Bombings? It's time we wake up, and start unifying rather than polarizing our political parties, our nation is dependent upon it.

48. Cable news is fortunate that it has O'reilly. If it weren't for him, Olbermann's single digit ratings would be even worse, if that is possible. So, thank you Bill

49. Andy wants to know why we didn't invade Saudi Arabia? Andy, can you spell "ten dollar gasoline?"
If we'd invaded Saudi Arabia, we'd have had to destroy the country, take over their entire nation, and then we'd have to fight all the surrounding Arabic countries. Andy, you'd wouldn't have to worry about "thinking outside the box," we'd have no box, to think on. You're being very short sighted, in your Bush hatred. You're missing the point that the Islamists do plan to kill you, me,and all our offspring.
When we invade Saudi Arabia, you're going to have to park your Corolla, and ride a bike.
Dennis.

50. Beth have you ever heard of a good war??? This is a BAD WAR!!! WAR IS BAD!!! Especially when you go in and attack a nation that did NOTHING to us!!! Furthermore, when the media reports on the deaths of those poor civilians, they report that these are attacks by the Sunis or other such radicals. We the Americans were scared, lied, and convinced in to a sensless war. So, why don't you ask the 3445 American families that have lost thier loved ones, because their President had to have it his way! Go ahead dear Beth and ask!!
Now getting back to the point of this blog. Does Billo do anything that is not Low and dispicable???

51. Olbermann doesn't have "single digit ratings" If he did he wouldn't be on the air. The news media is a business like anything else and people watch o'reilly just like they watch Olbermann. The difference is o'reilly is completely full of crap yet people fall for it because they use no other sources. Newsflash: just because o'reilly says it doesn't make it true, quite the contrary. same with the bush gang. If you study the propaganda techniques of Josef Goebbels, you will see how rove and his crowd have used these same Nazi techniques on the American people.

53. Poor Bill, an individual who was schooled but never "educated" enough to look at reality. Like his sponsoring network "Fox News" he believes that we should not pay attention to the "bad stuff", and we should go on our merry way when people die. Perhaps he can provide us with another of his assinine "O'Reilly tzu", presenting us with another deep and penetrating insight into the shallowness of his mind.
If "poor Bill" is unwilling to face reality, he may be happier watching cartoons or some fantasy movie where "six shooters" have a thousand bullets, where the good guys are identified with white hats and the bad guys always wear black hats. He might also change what he terms "fair and balanced" reporting to "feel good" infotainment. As "honesty" is a call of his, of course required only of others, he might then be eligible for an award for "truth in advertising."
Maybe we need Bill tell us where he "gets" his in-depth knowledge about serious issues like foreign affairs, war, foreign or domestic policy. So far, those of us who have at least made an attempt to learn about such areas are not the least impressed in Bill O'Reilly. If one wishes to see a character attempting to convince others only by the volume of his rhetoric, all one need to do is "tune in to Bill", a classic case of one who constantly has the mouth engaged, but with the brain totally disengaged. It might even be funny if it weren't so sad. He reminds me of a skit formerly performed on Saturday Night Live where a "commentator" worked herself up to a pitch of frenzy then, when it was pointed out that the entire thing was based upon a misinterpretation or failure to understand an issue, the character said "Never Mind."

54. FOR THOSE WHO THINK THAT THE MEDIA IS A LIBERAL ORGANISATION, BILL O'REILLY HAS DONE A GREAT JOB IN BRAINWASHING YOU WITH HIS USELESS RIGHT WING WIND BAG RHETORICAL LINE OF BULL!
THE MEDIA IS CONTROLLED!!! ITS CONTROLLED IN WHAT THEY REPORT TO YOU BOOBS! THE GOVERNMENT CONTROLS WHAT CAN BE REPORTED!!! THE GOVERNMANT IS A RIGHT WING FACIST ORGANISATION HEADED BY A FAMILY WHOSE FORTUNE WAS MADE LAUNDERING MONEY FOR THE NAZI'S AND THAT WOULD BE THE BUSHES!!

55. Liberal media. Yeah, right. That label has been a bunch of BS for decades. Just another benchmark from Ronnie's era of deregulation. Bill-O and facts have little to nothing in common. Why use facts when you can raise people's emotions. It works for Pres. Chucklenuts and all of BushCo. What happened to "We have nothing to fear but fear itself"? The longer Faux News and right-wing talk radio can keep people afraid, the longer they'll have the power-base.
Yes, war is hell. And yes, people die. Good people and bad people. Real news is not propaganda. Reporting the facts of the war is not propaganda. We all want the wr to end. "Fox News" is not real news. And Bill-O is, well, just Bill-O. He has the right to say what he wants to, but it is a shame that it has to filled with so many lies.

58. Bill-O exposes the truth about liberals, yet he also airs opposing viewpoints that may not supports what he says and he has a dabate about it. How many times do the liberals get the tough questions. Example: Republican's hard political questions verses the democrate's soft political questions when all the candidates were interviewed on national T.V.. WHAT ABOUT LIBERAL JUDGES favoring child predators, or advocating homosexual affairs which destroy societies all through out history, (. . . look at Rome)? The family is the backbone, O'Reilly is SMART enough to know this. Liberals report things that destroys families because they get soldiers killed. They embolden the enemy. I have been there in the WAR ZONE. I would love to have a liberal/non-liberal discussion, but where can you find one that is not fueled with emotional fervor that blinds the individual from having an intelligent conversation. (Yet any view that opposes liberals, are supposed to dumb.) Simply STOP and think about it. We need to unite and STOP hating one another!!! Reverse the polarity of our congress of our congress, STOP hating Bill-O's reporting and simply respect opposing views other than your own. After all, we are a FREE country!!!
