Tag Series XVII - Champions Edition - Voting Begins

It has been close to four months now that I've been conducting the Tag Series. When you put the winners together you get a pretty good idea of what type of blogger I am.

This whole TayTV project has grown so big out of such a small idea, I was sucked in by the web 2.0 early, I am a chronic bookmarker. The engine that runs TayTV is surfing the web categorizing interesting (mind blowing) links that I have run into.

This archive is not only handy for myself but it helps you waste away many hours you would have otherwise spent clicking your remote. This week is the Champions edition, I have picked 8 past winners and put them all head to head. Two politicians, Two Comedians, Two documentary makers and two subjects. Remember you can vote once every 24hrs and by all means spread the link around and encourage others to vote.
Champions Edition
Mike Gravel - XII
Jon Stewart - XI
James Burke - IV
Atheism - XIII
Marijuana - VIII
David Attenborough - VI
Stephen Colbert - VII
Ron Paul - XIV
Videos of this weeks competitors is beyond the fold.
Tag #1 - The Mike Gravel Tag Archive - Winner - TSXII

During Week #12 Mike Gravel dazzled the TayTV viewers with his old grandfather charm, he entertained us with his old cootery, and taught us about the spirit of being an underdog. TayTVers voted up Gravel enough to beat the popular Archives of The Micheal Moore Tag and The Denis Leary Tag.

Week #12 ended May 19th, hence, Gravel won Tag Series before he threw the Rock into the water. (This video has been viewed 128,000 times)

Tag #2 - The Ron Paul Tag Archive - Winner - TSXIV

During Week #14 Ron Paul dazzled the TayTV viewers with his Social Media presence, he entertained with his revolution, and taught us about the constitution. TayTVers voted up Gravel enough to beat the popular Archives of The Hunter.S.Thompson and The Impeachment Tag.

This video Mashup below combines Ron Paul's most popular online drama (with Rudy Giuliani) combined with some David Cross standup. (My advance apologies to reader Phil, the viewer who most likely won't be voting for Paul)

Tag #3 - The Jon Stewart Tag Archive - Winner - TSXI

During Week #11 Jon Stewart has dazzled the TayTV viewers since day one, he entertains us with his fake news, and taught us how to laugh during this real bizarre period in history. TayTVers voted up Stewart enough to beat the popular Archives of The Mike Gravel Tag and The John Lennon Tag.

You've seen this video before, but it's some of his best work. John Stewart goes up against Tucker Carlson on Crossfire in 2004. Crossfire was canceled shortly after.

Tag #4 - The Stephen Colbert Tag Archive - Winner - TSVII

During Week #7 Stephen Colbert dazzled the TayTV viewers with his mocking of opinionated news men, he entertained us with his idiot character, and taught us about how to laugh at Bill O'Reilly. TayTVers voted up Colbert enough to beat the popular Archives of The Rob Corddry Tag and The Ed Helms Tag.

Stephen Colbert meets with his Hero Bill O'Reilly, being in the no spin zone gave him vertigo.

Tag #5 - The James Burke Tag Archive - Winner - TSIV

During Week #4 James Burke dazzled the TayTV viewers brilliant presentations of science and technology history, he entertained us with his fun suits, and taught us about how exactly humans have made it to this point in history. TayTVers voted up Burke enough to beat the popular Archives of The David Cross Tag and The Religion Tag.

James Burke in this clip below. Will blow your mind. Did he just predict the internet and the Information age?

Tag #6 - The David Attenborough Tag Archive - Winner - TSVI

During Week #6 David Attenborough dazzled the TayTV viewers with brilliant presentations of nature, he entertained us with his epic voyages across the world, and taught us about the natural world. TayTVers voted up Attenborough enough to beat the popular Archives of The Richard Dawkins Tag and The Adam Curtis Tag.

Attenborough's most popular online video, without question is this one featuring the Lyrebird, who mimics any noise he hears.

Tag #7 - The Atheism Tag Archive - Winner - TSXIII

During Week #13 The Atheism Tag dazzled the TayTV viewers who want to hear more about the idea of not being religious, this entertained us with ear candy that you don't hear in the mainstream media, and taught us about the fact there are Atheists all over the world. TayTVers voted up Atheism enough to beat the popular Archives of The Bill Maher Tag and The Anti War Tag.

This Atheism clip is one of the most popular on the web, this is the type of reaction you would expect when a child comes out of the closet for being gay.

Tag #8 - The Marijuana Tag Archive - Winner - TSVIII

During Week #8 the Marijuana Tag dazzled the TayTV viewers with euphoric thoughts of legalization, he entertained us somehow, and taught us about something I can't remember. TayTVers voted up Gravel enough to beat the popular Archives of The Ricky Gervais Tag and The Nature Tag.

Maybe more and more people are waking up and realizing that prohibition of a plant is not the ideal way to stop crime, the war on drugs has to end. Imagine.
