1. He has a point. It is much more difficult to demonstrate to people that some religious people are radical to the point of looney, when there is a large moderate group.

I ran into this problem with a religious friends, when I made comments about the Southern Baptists going off the deep end. They were quite offended; they are American Baptist. That is, until 2 years later, when they read an article about how the Southern Baptists had radicalized their creed, and both Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton switched as a result.

So it is hard to tell a religious person that there are regilious sects that are evil. Or that religion itself can be evil, ie the Catholic church and condoms and aids.

2. Jim Jones, 911, Heaven's Gate, it was only a matter of time before some rational people blew a well-meaning gasket, and said enough already. Now some southern baptists are telling me that there were brontosauruses on Noah's ark. Come on people, wake up!

3. Gee, I believe in God and I go to Church.

Call me silly, but I believe this: There will come a point in all of our lives when God will call upon us to walk in his will and do his work. That very personal feeling deep in one's heart will blossom. A blossum of absolute joy and it will move you to act. Yes, this "something" has been there most of one's life, but now, now is the time.

My dear friend, this is God Himself calling you by name to walk in His will. Your journey will be full of joy and satisfaction. Everything you need will be there. It will be all to easy and you may ask yourself why I didn't do this sooner.

Yes, He calls us all and you won't want to escape it. The feeling of such great love for you will be overwhelming.
