Very rare that you hear such an honestly angry voice within the mainstream media. Olbermann is not happy with the direction that his country has gone in while under the Bush Administration (hear, hear) and he is not afraid to voice it. Just listen to this small segment from one of his latest Independence Day eve rant.
Olbermann is asking Bush and Cheney to resign. You can watch the full rant here. He kinda reminds of this fellow, from the 1976 film "Network."

Pardons By Bill Clinton
http://www.usdoj.gov/opa/pardonchartlst.htm Please go to this link that is a list of the 143 pardons President Clinton executed just in the month of January 2001.
This list covers mail fraud, medicaid fraud, Knowingly making under oath a false declaration regarding a material fact before a grand jury, Conspiracy to possess and to distribute cocaine, Converting property mortgaged or pledged to a farm credit agency, and converting public money to personal use, Conspiracy to transport in foreign commerce securities obtained by fraud,Making false statements to federal agents, and the list goes on and on.
I say that although I did not agree with every thing that president Clinton did in the eight years as president, nor do I agree with every thing that President Bush does as president, since 911 I have not been blown up in a building, worried that my city will be taken over by AlQuaida, had my pay check withheld to give to the goverment, not had food to eat or car to drive. I do not have to worry that someone will come to my door and shoot my children or take my son to work in the goverment.
Think about it. When did America become a lynching mob. Remember when the estimates of World War II casualties ranged from 50 million to over 70 million. When did you grieve for those people?
I am an American. I am proud of it, and for the good and the bad I stand behind my goverment. Why? I never want to loose my freedom of life, liberty and the persuit of happiness.

32. #20 Daryl, who on earth is suggesting that the IDIOT Bush organized 9/11??? Think what you want, but it's because of those brave men and women that are dying for us that Keith and most of us are so damn angry!!!
Thank's to our freedoms in this country people like Keith and Idiots such as Billo and ANN (DEVIL) COULTER have the right to speak out!! As someone much wiser than you or me once said. I may not have it correct, but it's something llike this. "I may not agree with what you say or belive, but I will fight to the end to protect the right for you to say it!"
If you ever took the time to really listen to Keith Olbermann, you will see that he does not give free passes to those who are on the "same side of the fence as he is", and when someone from the other "side" has something of value to say, he never cuts them of while speaking.
In your opinion he sucks. Your opinion, your righ to have it. In my opinion Kieth Olbermann is a great American and he ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU GO GIRL!!!! I LOVE THE SOUND OF THAT DRUM!!!

34. Yeah, Olbergoof is part of the mainstream media! What a joke. The only good thing for him is that no one watches his show so they can't see what an ass he has allowed himself to become. He is a joke and his ratings are a bigger joke. Pathetic.

P.S. Bush and Cheney are incompetent. They are destroying this country.
They should resign. WAKE UP! Think for yourself.
This is the problem with letting liberals speak about things they know nothing about. Everyone who is educated on the topic knows it was Democrat Richard Armitage that leaked her name and the corrupt prosecutor knew this when he kept questioning Libby. He spent hundreds of millions to "get" a guy for not remembering correctly when he heard the name. By the way Seth the name of the CIA worker who was NOT undercover is Plame. And her clown husbands lies and bumbling started this non-issue. Learn first, speak after.

36. I am still awaiting the anti-Olberman commentary which refutes the facts upon which his conclusions were based. The truth always seems to provoke the usual republican name-calling, aka smears. The damage done by this crowd will take generations to correct, but the start must be to wrest control of congress with sufficient numbers to stop the republican carnage. Ron

37. In response to Damian (34) who never let logic get in the way of invective:
"The only good thing for him [Olbermann] is that no one watches his show so they can't see what an ass he has allowed himself to become. He is a joke and his ratings are a bigger joke. Pathetic."
Interesting that you put so much stock in ratings. It must dismay you to know that the joke in the White House has a 72% disapproval rating among Americans.
And since our Joker in Chief doesn't read the papers or watch anything other than Fox net he doesn't see what a (dangerous) ass he actually is.
Who's pathetic?
Liz at 1:00PM on Jul 5th 2007
38. Hey Liz can you arrange that for me? I see the ideologues at both ends of the poltical spectrum as the lunatic fringe, who are the reasons that the government cannot address serious issues like Immigration. Of course, Wall Street loves it, because a gridlocked government can't hurt business. LOL

39. Thnx, Patty (32)!
Let Patty's words ring forth from this day forward:
"I love the sound of that drum beat...[resign! resign! resign!]"

40. Treason? Why am I reading here that Olbermann is guilty of treason?
Treason- the offense of acting to overthrow one's government or to harm or kill its sovereign.
My suggestion for those who think criticizing the President and calling for his impeachment is treason: Go read the Constitution. More specifically, read the very first amendment. Millions of Americans have died to secure the right to voice one's opinion, even if it means criticizing the President.
I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it. — Voltaire

41. Comment for "Jon": The Benjamin Franklin quote, correctly, is "Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." (This thanks to Wikipedia.)

42. Spot on, Jon.
In fact, in order to thrive, a democracy needs informed citizenry who are free to speak out when they see injustice or when they think their country is headed for trouble. Even if it means their president comes under fire.
In fact, it's most patriotic to speak out.
Liz at 1:16PM on Jul 5th 2007
43. If 85 % of the readers here agree that Olbermann is "right on target" then there is not much else to say is there? Except maybe to add how sad it is to explain this President's decisions to my children...from the invasion of Iraq thru Katrina and up to this moment. I'm just praying we as a nation survive this administration and no harm comes to Keith Olbermann. We need more like him.

44. LIZ NEVER EVER STOP VOICING YOUR OPINION!!!! YOU ARE WHAT AMERICA IS ALL ABOUT!!! WELL, AT LEAST IT'S WHAT IT WAS ALL ABOUT. HOWEVER, IF WE, PEOPLE LIKE YOU, LIKE KEITH AND SO MANY MORE KEEP IT UP, WE CAN AGAIN BE PROUD OF THIS WONDERFUL NATION, CALLED AMERICA!!!!
THE LIGHT IS AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL.... JANUARY 2009!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

45. Oh yes, he's a real hero. What a joke. He is a partisan idiot. Did he mention the fact that Clinton pardoned his own brother (cocaine charges) or Mark Rich (I believe that is his name) the biggest tax evader and ironically (wink wink) the Clinton's biggest campaign donor? I'm guessing not.
