Very rare that you hear such an honestly angry voice within the mainstream media. Olbermann is not happy with the direction that his country has gone in while under the Bush Administration (hear, hear) and he is not afraid to voice it. Just listen to this small segment from one of his latest Independence Day eve rant.
Olbermann is asking Bush and Cheney to resign. You can watch the full rant here. He kinda reminds of this fellow, from the 1976 film "Network."

46. ATTENTION CODE216 (43 above):
Even partisan idiots are right sometime. Take you for instance.
You got the Clinton pardons right. But why whenever Bush is criticized, in this case by KO, is the first response always, "Well, Clinton, blah, blah, blah?"
Let's take the pardons off the table. They're both wrong. Or both right. Let's grant you this.
Now, how do you respond to the substance of the 15 or 20 other accusations KO made against Bush?
And this time, be brave, try not to use the name Clinton in your defense of the Bush administration.

47. Dem and Honesty. Please if K Ober Rated was in tune with the country he have ratings much better. When you are getting beat by reruns of 33year old Scooby Doo cartoons, Larry King. I don't think your talking to the MAJORITY of the country. Keep hopping out there Dems. But Clinton Legacy is a Hangman Noose for the next 20 years. Moral Majority of Gop kicked out there congress, not your traitorous party that rather have us lose the war then have a Rep in the white house..and that too will be your down fall. For the Dems to think you have won this contry over..look at your congress ratings..not since your last time in control has the ratings been so bad. 23% There even lower than the Used Car Salesman..and thats saying something. So keep cheering for Keith..if thats all you got to offer the country.. you'll never win another white house again. Numbers don't lie. Ohh about Kieth and the war...ask him why he hasn't mention the 2000 deaths of college students EVERY YEAR in this country as a moral out cry..That's 10,000 deaths since the war in Iraq started. Just to prove a point..you don't support the troops..you just don't want a Gop president to have any good run. That's ok..Im not happy with him either. And I voted twice for him. But he's not going to be your battering ram to win next year..and if you don't figure that out fast..your going to lose again. For five years you Dems said you could do it better..and you have had three elections that you have lost using that phrase. Time to put up or shut up. IT's that simple

48. Keith Olberman is really, really right! The problem with Keith is he is just half-right. If you criticize the Bush Administration for their failure and corruption, you cannot stop short and not criticize the Democrats too. Clinton and Bush ruined the two party system with personal background checks. This information gave them the ability to twist arms internally and it made them Kings of their respective parties. Demanding loyalty, they were able to get away with almost anything. All is lost right? Wrong! By the grace of God, one person can make a difference. Somebody stood up to the Clinton administration and led the drive to impeach him. This same person supported Al Gore and caused the riff as the secret internet advisor. Somebody challenged President Bush and changed campaign finance law and debated missile defense funding in the shadows. This "Bush Fly" has been swatted and spied on for years, but the Patriot Act prevents the truth from being shared. Find the "Bush Fly" and the truth will set us free. Hello America, I'm really, really right! The story is a blockbuster and it's the truth. That's why they haven't called me out!

YOU FIRST!
You wrote:

WTF? With this logic it is clear why Keith O is beyond your ken. What connection is there between these two stats?
Even if the number of college deaths is true, how does that change the fact that our military is being slaughtered in Iraq? And that this president fabricated the evidence to get us to support his invasion of Iraq?
Get Real indeed.

50. In response to #42, Code 216 meeds to remember that Mark Rich and Roger Clinton did not invade Iraq. Libby's bosses, Bush/Cheney did, then lied about it, then obstructed justice through Libby. He was then convicted on 4 counts, sentenced to jail and his sentence was commuted by Bush/Cheney in the smarmy, underhanded style that has become their trademark. That's it. What don't you understand about this? If Cheney had taken the stand and defended his little puppet I'd have some respect for him? We have lost 3500 of our very best kids with thousands wounded and you're talking Roger Clinton and Mark Rich?? Keith Olbermann scares folks like you because he's not afraid of any of you. Yes, he is a hero.

"This is the problem with letting liberals speak about things they know nothing about."
I see it doesn't stop republicans either. But of course, being the good American patriot republicans are, they'd never suppress freedom of speech!
Liz at 2:37PM on Jul 5th 2007
52. For Liz: Whose Demon controlled congress is at a negative 78%. The culture of corruption lives. Jail time for Libby, sure jail time for Clintons both who have had obstruction charges levied or mulled many times over. Where is the jail time for Sandy "down the pants" Berger, or better yet where is Obersap's outrage at no jail time for him. Face it The idiot that Oberman has come to be known is a partisan hack and all the kudos are coming from the choir and as he gets Obergoofier he knows he picks up more ratings from the loony left. Its a sad cycle but fortunately it has a short cap (See: Air America). As will this hack's career and 15 minutes.

53. I watch keith O. from time to time just to see how outrageous he can get. I think if he would have a balanced guest list on his show and would scrutinize democrats like he does the republicans it would give him more credibility as a "newsman"! He is completely one way and his reporting just gets old. Keith will go the way of Air America, bankrupt. No one wants to here bashing, bashing and more bashing of the same people day in and day out. How many times can Bill O'Reilly be the worst person of the day. He can no longer be taken seriously other than a left wing extremist. You can say want you want about Fox News, but if you want to be honest they always have a left view and a right view on their shows. Keith O. does not offer this. Name three Democrats that Keith has attacked the same way he attacks Republicans. Also, name some Republican quests he brings on to balance the show. I dare all you liberals to respond!!
Joe at 2:47PM on Jul 5th 2007
54. Ok Keith. Mr. Rant and Rave. Your political bias is still the focal point of your outrage. All Presidents, Democrats and Republicans, have pardoned criminals in the United States but you don't make your personal views and accuse anyone of the democrat party. Why is that? Maybe everyone would get behind you if you didn't make it such a one sided debate. President Clinton pardoned accused murderers! celebrate that in one of your outrages rants. And if President Bush is this secret lying conspirator and murderer you really think he is, than why do you suppose he doesn't squash you like the little ex-sportscasting bug that you really are. Be fair, be honest and quit trying to sway the total idiots out there (and there are many) into believing that only Republicans commute criminal sentences. Grow up and just be honest.

Wow, that is inspiring. And you actually signed off Get Real?

I am merely offering advice on how to converse on a subject without looking the fool. If you want to argue without knowing the facts, far be it from me to suppress your freedom of ignorant expression. However it does seem to be a rampant problem for the left. Of course, with guys like Oberjoke as their mouthpiece it is easy to see how this happens...Speak freely!

57. Damian again (47).
You write:
"...the corrupt prosecutor knew this when he kept questioning Libby..."
Corrupt? Fitzgerald was a republican appointee! And brilliant lawyer that Scooter is, he couldn't manage to get his story straight and just repeat it every time he was asked.
"He spent hundreds of millions to "get" a guy for not remembering correctly when he heard the name."
Ooooooooooo, good one. Faulty memory... Speaks well of the veep's top guy.
By the way, the jury thought lil Scooter was a liar, too. Of course, corrupt Fitzgerald must have put his staff on the jury, right?
Again, instead of arguing the merits we get personal attacks on the victorious prosecutor.
Liz at 2:48PM on Jul 5th 2007
58. Typical of the left-wing loonies on AOL. It is bad for Bush to pardon someone who should never have been charged or put on trial for not being the one to "out" a CIA agent who hasn't been under cover in many years. Though these Bush bashers don't care that Clinton gave a full pardon to Mark Rich, the biggest Tax Cheat the US has ever known (and who fled the country while being charged) and also give a pardon to a large Drug Dealer. Both os these pardons were given after each gave a large "donation" to the Clinton Library. I can't wait for January, 2009. Bush will be out of office and we will have a new President. The left will bash the president if he is a Republican or will praise the new Democrat President (Obama or Clinton) as the next coming of Roosevelt. Only it may be the next coming of "Uncle Joe" Stalin. You see I am a conservative andn proud of it. I was a JFK Democrat who like Reagan saw the party leave him behind. So I am neither a Democrat or Republican, just a Citizen who thinks the Government is overbloated and too many Legislaters that don't listen to the people and think they are our rulers.
K S at 2:50PM on Jul 5th 2007
59. Presidents pardon crooks, so what else is new?
Clinton did it. Did anybody really expect Dubya Bush of all people, not to grant pardons?
They suckered all of us again by serving up Scooter, it should have been Cheney. Remember the Bush's unlike the Clintons are not amateurs. They have been crooks for generations, and sociopaths believing they are "chosen" by God to rule. Dubya with his evangelical leanings believes it even more strongly than his Dad who just thought it was because he was royalty.
Bush will never fall, the entire country may be rubble at his feet, but he will never fall. They are pros at this stuff.
Davidg at 2:53PM on Jul 5th 2007
60. Damian, you're making itg too easy to discredit your "facts". You write:
"[Fitzgerald] spent hundreds of millions to "get" a guy for not remembering correctly when he heard the name."
Hundreds of millions to convict Scooter?
According to NBC, the CIA/Leak investigation was done on the cheap:
"Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald's three-year CIA/Leak investigation has cost the tax-payer the least amount of any Justice Department probe by an Independent Counsel in history.
NBC News has learned, that since the start of Fitzgerald's investigation of the Valerie Plame leak, beginning in December 2003, the total cost to be reported to the GAO is about $1.5 million.
By contrast, the decade-long probe of former Clinton Housing Secretary Henry Cisneros by Independent Counsel David Barrett, cost about $23 million.
Fitzgerald's office has incurred only about $400 thousand in total expenses above the salary and benefits for the personnel working for him.
The Ken Starr investigation of Whitewater and Monica Lewinsky cost the tax-payer $64 million."
Damian, what did you say above? Ah, yes, here it is:
"Learn first, speak after"
When do you plan to start?
