As we mentioned yesterday, the Simpsons marketers have way too much time on their hands. And in their publicity frenzy, they've allegedly angered pagans by painting a 180-foot Homer next to the 17th-century Cerne Abbas fertility symbol. According to that bastion of journalistic integrity The Sun (which has the Wessex district of The Pagan Federation on speed dial), "Pagans have pledged to perform 'rain magic' to wash away cartoon character Homer Simpson." Which begs the question: why didn't the marketers go straight to the pagans for some "buzz magic"? See a larger version of the photo after the jump.
