So this is the "blogosphere." Let me get this straight. We have a room, in which there are some people, the hosts, seated. They want to say something, for whatever reason. They say things, then, as they will. Then other people are invited to come in and say things also, in response to the things the first people have said. Some people come into the room with armfulls of books, and begin reading, often aloud. Others come in with bad hair, or breath. Some come in with magic markers and begin scribbling their names on the walls. Some come in with fruit, and begin eating, or throwing. Others just soil themselves, and then look around to see what can be done about it, and what might happen next.

This thing, this blogging, THIS is the powerful new force in the world? But it has no aim, no purpose, no content! Anyone can say whatever they want, which means nothing is of any value (don't fret; I'm leaving soon, never to return). It's like a little playground pow-wow, where all the children stand forth and speak glowingly in turn (all accompanied by much gesticulation), but no one really knows what it is all for, except that it must be for something wonderful, and grand. Alas, no.

Is no one else horrified by this? There is no communication here, no connection, no nothing. It is the heart of chaos, a ridiculous carnival mirror of the academy, of scholarly conversation.

Those of you left alive and awake, this is not the place to be. You will be swallowed here. Get out now, while you still have your wits about you.

27. Here is a news flash Kent #14...FOX denies they are conservative every time they are asked about it. That fat dude that owns the station was questioned many times in a C-Span interview (from audience members, not the interviewer) and denied it every time he was asked...I would not be so quick to judge other networks. Your obvious attempt at painting FOX to be so "fair and balnced" is laughable.
