1. My issue with Mitt Romney is not him buying voters, if he has done nothing illegal. My issue with him all along has been his sudden conversion from liberal Republican to hard line conservative. This guy is a classic panderer. Romney is salavating for the religious right vote.
Romney said in 1994, running for the Senate (against Ted Kennedy, admittedly no easy task), "I am 100% pro-choice and I will not change that stance." Gee, what happened, Mitt?
Romney also said running for Governor in Mass. that "gay rights are important so that all are included." Now he takes the typical GOP hard line that gays should be treated as second class citizens.
How anyone can support this flip flopping panderer is beyond me.

2. Let me try to post again.
What's new about that. The Republicans have allowed their party to be taken over by a bunch of "holier than thou" theocrats, self-appointed judges of who consider themselves superior to everyone else and determine who is entitled to become president of this country.
Is is any wonder that most Republican candidates are so busy kissing their backsides. After all, it doesn't matter to those candidates how they get nominated, just as long as they do. In the process they don't care whom they have to step on to get it.
I don't know of any educated and rational person, one who knows what this country is really about, who would ever vote for any candidate canonized by these religious fanatics.

3. You supported flip flopping panderer Smirkey the Chimp, why not Mitt?
How much theocracy did the chimp bring you? All I saw him do was loot the treasury to benefit the richest of the idle rich

4. Well, Robert Laitres, what educated and rational people considers killing defenceless babies? By the way, Bobby boy, what do you stand for? Satan rules your life!

5. David S. states, rather unequivably, that Mitt Romney wants gays treated as "second class citizens". David, when did Romney say that?
Are you referring to his stance about gay marriage, where he supports civil unions but does not support "marriage" for gay couples? If so, how does protecting the traditional marriage ceremony make gays second class citizens, if they have the right to join in civil unions and enjoy fringe benefits similar to married couples?
Or is the real issue that gays simply want to defrock the marriage ceremony for their own selfish purposes?

6. When Romney heard that "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God," he went out and bought the needle.
Richter at 9:54PM on Jul 28th 2007
7. Houchens...
Offering civil unions as an "acceptable alternative" is an insult. How can you say that gay couples are using marriage for their "own selfish purposes"? Have you not noticed that all marriages are selfish in nature... like wanting to be happy with the one you love...
Am I speaking Hebrew or does SOMEONE get this?

8. What kind of numbskull questions a candidate pandering to their base on the way to the convention? It's only the not so intelligent liberals claiming Romney is "flip-flopping," the liberals with at least a modicum of intelligence realize that Democrat candidates are doing the same thing, they must do it.
Of course Hillary isn't pandering to the ultra left like Obama and Edwards because she doesn't have to, most Democrats are voting for Hillary no matter what she claims her policies will be so she's already in general election mode, trying to move to the middle.Conservatives on the other hand hold their beliefs very strongly and will vote only for the person who "proves" they have a conservative agenda.

9. Gay marriage is a joke. What comes after gay marriage:
- two women and a man married
- two men and a woman married
- a man, two camels, a seagull, and a B.L.T. on wheat married?
Gimme a break. Liberals are doing their best to destroy this nation.

11. #5, Houchens - when did Romney say he supported civil unions? Must have missed that. I am sure it was not when he was at Pat Robertson's university and speaking to THAT crowd.
I did not say Houchens that Romney said treating gays like second class citizens. It is the Republican party in general that does that.
