Just this week The O'Reilly Factor has apparently lost two major advertisers thanks to Fox Attackers:
Home Depot and Lowes.

The Sound of a Smoke-Free Barack...Mo Rocca appears on a bunch of shows, including CBS News Sunday Morning (with the indescribably wonderful Charles Osgood), The Tonight Show on NBC, and NPR's Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! He's a sometime judge on Iron Chef and was featured on Telemundo's Amore Descarado. Last year he starred on Broadway in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. 2. Fox News has the loony leftist AOL news bloggers pulling their hair out and the kooks at MoveOn and DailyKos foaming at the mouth while implementing a boycott that has absolutely no effect. Life is good.

3. When Col. Robert McCormick was the editor/publisher of the Chicago Tribune, it was clear that his opinions were on the front page, while the facts were on the editorial page.
I liked that paper, and I don't care for the more balanced Tribune.
Oh, and the Tribune used to proclaim on the masthead, "The World's Greatest Newspaper." Not that anyone other than Col. McCormick really thought that it was, so of like saying, "Fair and Balanced."

4. Geez it's tough being a conservative these days, we just can't seem to do anything right in the eyes of the libs. For years we endured listening to Communist News Network, aka CNN, with the likes of little Wolfie Blitzer almost peeing his pants thinking that Kerry was staging a comeback in 2004, etc.,etc., now Fox is knocking their d!ck in the dirt, and the whining never stops.."censure them,"
make them call themselves 'opinion news,"' blah, blah. Absolutely priceless!!

5. My opinion is more right than your opinion. This will go round and round and round. The only truth is that in politics, the last lie wins. Hence the "October surprise". Frankly I'm nauseated by it all. "Faux News", Fox News, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, NAACP, ACLU, PBS, OI812, EIEIO....

6. #5, that was probably the best quote I've seen on the subject.
The "left" hates what the "right" says and visa versa. The problem for the "left" is that America has apparently spoken, with Air America in bankrupsy while Fox news is #1.
It doesn't matter whose "opinion" is correct, only whose "opinion" is bringing in the viewers/listeners. I'm certainly not a right-wing guy, nor am I a fan of O'Reilly, but I do like the fact that he stands up against corrupt judges and is attempting to strengthen laws in order to protect children. All I ever hear from the "left" about strengthening child protection laws is how that would infringe on the rights of the pedophiles. In this case, the "right" is right.

7. Let me preface this by saying that I think George Bush is a crappy president. He is a total idiot, not an evil genius bent on world domination just stupid. I agree that FOX news is more conservative as a whole. However most of the time when there is a debate on any one of their regular news programs they have a Republican and Democrat making their case. I had to laugh when Keith says "what if the New York times becomes opinion media" What IF??? Are you trying to say that it isn't already opinion media? Unfortunately there is no such thing as objective journalism anymore. FOX, CNN, PBS, ABC it dosn't matter it's all BS smart person would take in all the info they could get from all sources and try to make their own conclusions. Conservatives have just as much right to hear what they want to hear as the liberals do and the liberals have been doing it for YEARS. The BIG difference is you don't have people calling it out all the time with PBS, CNN, and the NY Times. If you think that these organizations are only out to "find the truth" you're kidding yourself. They most certainly DO have an agenda and it is far from mainstream. Furthermore you don't see Conservative Candidates refusing to debate on PBS and CNN even though any fool can see that they are treated in a hostile way. I am wholly unimpressed by this group of Democratic candidates and frankly consider them cowards. How do they ever expect to win peoples minds and votes if they won't debate in all venues? I would bet that the Dem’s would get more of a fair shake on FOX then Rep’s get on PBS or CNN. SORRY to RANT

8. Yo Jeff,
Well, you're catching on. As they said during my college days in Southern California (way back in the 70's), it's not freedom of speech, but freedom to express one's opinion.
There was a journalist in San Diego who wrote a weekly column and every so often he'd title his column " There only opinions, but at least their all mine".
From the get-go, readers of his column knew what the situation was. He wasn't hiding behind a "title" like Democratic (or Republican) strategist. He was a jounalist expressing his opinion.
Oh yeah, another thing from the 70's about expressing one's opinion...."Opinions are like A_ _ holes.....everybody has one".

9. Those of us,Libs and Cons, with the ability to think for themselves can see the leanings of each "news outlet". It doesn't take much intellegence to see that Fox is Con.....PBS is Lib.lite and so on.
The problem is with the undereducated, numb brained that take their words as the gospel truth. That is where the problem lies.....with the sheep of this country. The same people that watch shows like the Insider or Entertainment Tonight and actually believe everything they hear. Unfortunately there are millions and millions of them.

10. LOl I thought libs cherished freedom of speech and now they are trying to silence the "Right"It is out of sheer fear and i love it. Eat your heart out Olberman, no one watches your whining anymore. Get over your bitterness. You are a loser.
audrey hobbs at 7:32PM on Jul 31st 2007
11. Why does Olbermann always attack Fox? Because they always clean his plows every night in the ratings!!!
Dwight at 7:50PM on Jul 31st 2007
12. "Thanks to Fox Attackers" LOL And the lefts are always complaining about hypocracy, as if they are not willing participants. If you think it's wrong for O'Reilly to criticize Jet Blue then the "Fox Attackers" are equally wrong or you also are a hypocrit. No need to thank them anyway. Home Depot didn't sponsor O'Reilly, they sponsor that Morning Show they have on. I know because I watch the home depot guy give tips on how to do stuff around the house.

13. Go back where you come from you punk ass Canook!
Olberman was just ranting and raving, spitting and panting, and demanding that Bush and Cheney resign... WAS THAT NEWS OR EDITORIALIZING?
GO HOME!

14. Fox news has so many viewers because conservatives sit on their fat asses all day watching a television program and being told how they should think and who they should hate for the week. They are worthless. The rest of us have a variety of news channel's to choose from and others actually READ news. We also have lives other than sitting on our ass in front of the tv screen all day and night. :)

15. Below is an excellent example of what the liberal media think of those whom do not share their politikal bent! It's what Jeff or Olberman might call objective news or fact!
Who in the hell is Jeff Hoard, Keith Olberman (a whiny red diaper baby), or any liberal to divine for us opinion and fact?
And if the Dems force a fairness doctrine on us, will there be commie, 25 yr old wankers like Jeff lording over the news channels and dictating exactly what is fair!? Keep your communism off Fox News!
"Some thoughts on those angry voters. Ask parents of any two-year-old and they can tell you about those temper tantrums: the stomping feet, the rolling eyes, the screaming. It's clear that the anger controls the child and not the other way around. It's the job of the parent to teach the child to control the anger and channel it in a positive way. Imagine a nation full of uncontrolled two-year-old rage. The voters had a temper tantrum last week....Parenting and governing don't have to be dirty words: the nation can't be run by an angry two-year-old."
