I can't take them anymore. Democrats keep calling Bush the worst president in US history and then they keep voting with him. At the end of last week, they just allowed Bush to retroactively make his violations of the FISA law legal. They are the worst!
I'm way beyond the Republicans. All they ever do is rubberstamp the awful policies of this administration and I wouldn't vote for them in a million years (or at least twenty, until they cleaned up the party). But the Democrats are supposed to be opposition party. They are supposed to care about our rights and the constitution. But, of course, for most of them, they don't. They just care about their own power.
In this video I explain why Democrats keep voting with Republicans. In this article I explain what a terrible capitulation the vote on this FISA bill was. And in this article I rip Hillary and Obama a new one for being completely AWOL on this issue. If Bush is the worst president in history and you've done nothing to fight back, what does that make you?
Well, I'll show you what it makes you. A reader on Daily Kos put up this absolutely great video that explains what the Democrats are perfectly:
There you have it. It's funny and it's incredibly sad at the same time. Will someone step up and lead already?! Or do we have to settle for these schleps that can hardly stay on their feet long enough to oppose this out of control administration?

1. Actually, these people who are voting for these things are not 'democrats' anymore. They are traitors to the Democratic party, lackwits and suckers.
Personally, I am an extreme liberal/Libertarian, and if I was in office and these things came in front of me, I would REFUSE to vote for them, but then again all my skeletons are out in the open so they couldn't blackmail me like I think they do Democrats sometimes.

2. Why would the President need the law to be retroactively corrected? Does somebody who knows the government was spying have enough credibility to prove the President could or should be impeached. If this information were released, would it place a pox on both the Democratic and Republican houses? I believe God can select anyone of us to play a greater role in life. We may be unworthy in the eyes of other men, but in the eyes of God we are all unworthy. To be involved in so many events is not a coincidence, it is God's will. Man's will sometimes attempts to ignore what God would have us do. That's why bad things happen to good people. God is trying to get our attention. This is an incredible story of failure. We failed to hold them accountable, but in 6 months it can be revisited.

3. Fainting goats? Stiffened muscles? Not a word about spines and that is what the Democratic Party lacks! Some things are far too important to compromise on and that is why I am a Democratic Party Precinct chairman in Oklahoma. Our crew of Federal level legislators have embarassed me enough and I am working to bring real Democratic Values back to this country that I love.

4. Blackmailed Democrats? Sooper secret impeachment information? You liberals are kooks and Hillary not seperating herself from you is one of the reasons she will not be President.
The number one problem for Democrats is that ultra liberals are running the party and the majority of Americans see ultra liberalism as loony.
As for the FISA vote, it's the one intelligent vote Democrats have cast since they took power and it shows just how detached liberals like Cenk are from the rest of America.
And Cenk, your Democrats tried to steal a vote to give taxpayer dollars to illegal immigrants, what more do you want?

6. The democrats just can't be trusted with security.just look back in the 80's when president Regan was getting to bomb Libya over the bombing of Pan Am 103 who ran off and leaked it to the media none other then Senator " Leaky " Leahy fo Vermont and was booted off the intel committee.

7. How far left is too far? Cenk you disappoint! You are an intelligent individual yet seem to have a bit of a blind spot considering political party. One might be liberal, and extremely so, question the motives for why the so called 'opposition' would vote with it's rival. Might the answer not be that we as a nation must now resort to using and implementing all tools available to us for the well being, safety and lives of all our citizens.
Americans, all citizens of these still UNITED States must surely come to realize at some point that a very real threat of more terroristic attacks such as that of 9/11 are a reality. It would therefore seem logical to conclude that voting for a bill meant to deter such a catastrophic event is voting for both liberal and conservative values----such as-----> LIFE!

8. You know what? The far left isn't any more palatable to me at this time than the far right is, so stop your whining and complaining.
Where were you during the Clintion years? Apparently you got left behind while the party moved a little more to the right, and you're surprised---how?
As a registered Democrat, of all my complaints with the democratic party right now, this vote with Bush is actually not really one of them. The wiretapping and spying at this point, is so widespread and HAPPENING, its just a moot point. What bothers me is the prosecutor mess because now we're talking going after political opponents of Republicans and imprisoning them.......I'm not a spy, but I sure am a vocal opponent of the Bush administration!
So instead of being wishy washy, and understanding that the Democratic majority is only slight and NOT a mandate, at least not yet....although its hard to argue in the House, where in the last election, the Democrats gained HOW many seats---why don't we elect to continue to press on Iraq. You know this White House isn't going to do anything about civil liberties. You know that, so why expect it? You must also know by now, that we'll be going to court and tying them up for the next 18 months, which is fine by me.
So, I've chosen to support my local democratic candidates and continue to see how this is all going to play out by peaceful means. Though I hardly think anymore that getting out of Iraq is going to be either peaceful or easy.

9. Agree 100%. The Democrats in Congress are chicken shits just like the Repukes. They just didn't learn anything from 2006 elections. It took American voters over 12 years to kick Repukes out of office but it will take American voters 2 years to kick Democrats out of office. I was a Democrate but now I am an independent. Neither Democrats in Congress or the group running for President have any guts. Let's throw all these bums out of office.

10. I applaud the Democrats who have seen fit to support the President. Desparate times call for desparate measures.
So what if the President listens to my phone calls. All he will her is my wife and I discuss the potty training of our son and what yardwork needs to be done.
People forget that Abraham Lincoln did many of the same things. He suspended habeas corpus upon an executive order. He freed the slaves, depriving southerners of their property with no compsenation, upon executive order.
He also had newspaper editors jailed for publishing classified information.
And the people accused on conspiring with John Wilkes Booth were tried by a military tribunal with no appeal of their convictions or death sentences.
As for the supposed lying, FDR was secretly plotting with Churchill on U.S. entry into the European war while promising the voters never to seen U.S. troops to Europe.

11. How can anyone even consider voting for a man who pays 400 dollars for a simple haircut? Does anyone really want this man making decisions with our money, he oviously has no common sense at all.

13. "So what if the President listens to my phone calls."
Really?!?
Listening to your phone calls makes us all safer? Apparently you are a terrorist. That is the only way that listening to your calls makes us safer. Because only then can the government can stop you from committing an act of terrorism.
In actuality listening to your (and my) phone calls contributes absolutely nothing to our safety. It is a control mechanism that every fascist government has used in the past to control the polulation.

14. It is our duty as members of "we the people" to fight the enemies of Democracy where ever they exist ... specially if they are in the White House.
How can destroying our Democracy be an effective weapon in fighting those who seek to destroy our Democracy?
If you want to give our government these "special" powers, fine ... but don't tell me that it has anything to do with Democracy or saving "our way of life" or saving "our freedom" ... call it what it is ... fascism!
