We just finished Book Seven of Harry Potter (in spite of you lousy spoilers) and then turned on the Daily Show to learn Cheney once sought a silver deathbox (horcrux or hallows?). The Economist reports: BEFORE the first American war against Saddam Hussein, when Dick Cheney was secretary of defence, he had to brief King Hassan of Morocco about the brewing Operation Desert Storm. As the meeting was about to start, the king placed a small silver box in his translator's hand and briefly spoke with him in Arabic. Mr Cheney asked what the ritual meant. The king replied that the box contained a fragment of the Koran and he was swearing his translator to secrecy on pain of death. Mr Cheney says he thought: "Damn, I need one of those."

3. I don't know why people think that Dick Cheney is pure evil. When he was House Minority Whip, he was considered a calm, slightly-right-of-center statesman.
People were even trying to push a Cheney-Powell ticket in 1996.
And what happened to gravitas that everyone spoke so frequently of back in 2000?
Remember, he isn't as bright as people think he is. Unlike the President, he did flunk out of Yale.

8. Now this guy is a piece of garbage(An Island unto himself). The world should revolve around his shadey deals and corrution and selling American to the Arab World, for his own profit, like he did with his (Halliburton Company). He stole from this country then moved overseas to avoid taxes and now wants to give weapons to the Saudies, so they can be used against us. When in the hell are we going to wake up.
