Barry Bonds hit his 756th home run last night. He surpassed Hank Aaron's record of 755 career home runs and now has more home runs than anyone in the history of baseball. But did he earn it?
As far as we know, Hank Aaron was clean for his whole career when he hit all those homers. But did you know that Babe Ruth used to inject himself with sheep testes to try to gain an advantage over other players? That's a true story. People have been cheating in baseball for as long as baseball has been around. The question is how much is too much?
We answer that question below. Also, watch for the pictures of Barry Bonds earlier and later in his career in the video and judge for yourself:

1. Hank Aaron will always be the record breaker and the true winner. the look on Bonds face says it all, he knows he's flying under false pretext. A loser from the word go, i don't care what he hit it's wrong. i would never put him in any record book.

3. How many athletes fit the profile of being 'skinny' at the beginning of their professional sports career, and 'large' towards the end of their career? How many?? MANY.
ESPN Classsic aired a program this morning about Hank Aaron. Hank Aaron was 'skinny' at the beginning of his career, and considerably larger towards the end.
Look at Shaquille O'Neal. Talk about eating good in the neighborhood! The difference between Shaq 'then' and Shaq 'now' is irrefutable. However his integrity has not been called to question.
Maybe there are people out there who look the same at forty years of age as they did when they were twenty years of age. My hats off to them. I wish I were one of those people. (So does my wife.)

5. Drugs in sport? Society judging? People get real, there have been cheaters in sports since the beginning of games. If you make record books of achievement in sport, you cannot place limitations on how they are achieved based on perception and conjecture. Sports today, as it was yesterday and for the rest of human history will be questioned to the elements of life. Sport is entertainment. It does not mean that all is wrong/right in this world. Be happy that you lived/saw something that had never happened before. And know that it will most likely happen again.

6. You write this down as if Barry is the only one?! Seriously, how about we get off Barry's back for f**king once and remember oh I don't know that there's a war going on!!!

7. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. It's all in God's hand....
Did OJ do it? Where is Osama Bin Laden? Did Barry do steriods? Look at what they did to Hank when he broke Babe Ruth's record.
Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment that you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, "Let me take the speck out of your eye," when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.

8. THE DAMN MAN WORKED HIS ASS OFF TO GET WHERE HE IS AND EVERYBODY IS F***** MAD BECAUSE HE BROKE A DAMN RECORD. HELL I THOUGHT RECORDS WERE MADE TO BE BROKEN. NOBODY WOULD SAY A DAMN THING IF SOMEONE ELSE BROKE THE DAMN RECORD AND IT WOULD NOT BE ALL THIS CONTROVERSY ABOUT IT. HELL THERE WOULD BE PARTIES AND INTERVIEWS AND THE COMMISIONER WOULD HAVE BEEN OUT ON THE FIELD TO CONGRATULATE HIM.
HELL THERE ARE OTHERS OUT THERE THAT SHOULD BE JUST AS SCRUNTIZED ABOUT STERIOD USE BUT I DON'T HERE A DAMN THINMG BEING SAID ABOUT IT.
KEEP ON GOING BARRY, YOU DON'T KISS ASS AND IS NOT A SUCK UP SO OF COURSE THEY DISPISE YOU.

9. ALEX RODRIGUEZ WILL OWN THEH RECORD IN THE END, SO, WHO CARES. BONDS IS A SCAM!..Lol.

10. What Bush's mouthpiece said about Bond's feat is truly untenable. He said "The President doesn't condone nor glorify steroid use." When in the hell was Bonds EVER convicted of steroid use (other in the public)? This is the land of the free and innocent until proven guilty---give me a break.Who tested Hank,Babe,Cal, etc.Babe shot up...Maybe its a difference in skin color?
pete at 9:01PM on Aug 8th 2007
11. Lots of players used steroids ... only Barry Bonds broke the home run record.
The negative reaction to Barry Bonds is based on the same attitudes that brought out the negative reaction to Jackie Robinson in his time - namely racism.
People are upset that a black man has come to dominate yet another popular American sport that was once dominated by whites.
Look at what happened to Kobe Bryant - the top basketball player, Mike Tyson - the top boxer in his prime, and Michael Vick - one of the top football players.
Mark McGwire was doping when he broke his records. Last time I checked there's a federal highway named after him, and he lied to Congress under oath. I don't hear anyone complaining about his conduct.
Obvious Truth at 12:57AM on Aug 9th 2007
12. Ummmm...Obvious Truth, I have to break this to you in a way that will be fun, so...the man who held the record BEFORE Barry Bonds was a BLACK MAN too. You do know that Hank Aaron is black, right?

White males get pissed out every time a black male shows them up, read your history books all you Republicans!
