They did it again. These Republicans are unbelievable. This time it's the head of Young Republicans nationwide. It's another gay sex scandal. This one is even more serious because it involves non-consensual sex.
Glenn Murphy Jr. is chairman of the Clark County Republican Party and was just elected president of the Young Republican National Federation. But now he has to give up his spot because of yet another gay Republican sex scandal. He claims it's because he mysteriously and suddenly got a business offer he couldn't turn down. Yes, I'm sure it had nothing to do with the investigation the police just started against you.
Get a load of what this guy did...
...he lowered the pants of a young man while he was sleeping and tried to give him oral. Come on! Are there no bounds? The other man was not interested, was not gay and was not even awake. But when he did wake up he pursued charges against Murphy.
This isn't even the first time for Murphy. He did almost the same exact thing back in 1998 to another young man. Back then the boy he accosted in his sleep was 21. This time around, the boy as 22. Murphy is 33. By the way, why is a creepy 33 year old guy the head of the Young Republicans? Especially one who already has a track record of trying to give guys oral while they're sleeping.
Are there any Republicans left in the country who are not gay or involved in a sex scandal? It doesn't seem like it anymore. I think I left the Republican Party just in the nick of time, while I still have my pants on.
Watch The Young Turks Here
PS -- We do a segment called Republican Sexcapades every Thursday on our show. And in over a year that we have been doing the segment, we have never run out of material. I honestly can't believe how many sex scandals there have been involving Republicans lately. It makes our job too easy, and too much fun.

256. That's okay, Fred. It's a free country, and I can speak my mind if I wish. But if you wish me to say something relative to the subject, I would say it was probably brought on by repression because being gay in politics is certainly a difficult thing. Not exactly good for the public eye.

257. Lindsay:
Thanks for responding. Your last statement was on-point. It is also indicative of what I'm talking about. I would bet that the Gay Leadership would trot out the same "repression" excuse that you just gave Glenn Murphy.
It's irrelevant whether Gay Glenn Murphy's actions were contributed to by "repression". It's only relevant that he's a Gay scumball who committed these crimes.
If a straight guy slips some GHB into a girl's drink and sexually takes advantage of her--we don't dig around and try to find a psychological excuse for what he did. That date-drug rapist is a scumball. Period. And every straight guy worth anything would condemn the dude right away. It should be the same for scumball Glenn Murphy, Jr. from both straights and Gays. But, instead, there's irrelevant talk on this thread about political parties and religious issues.
Fact: Glenn Murphy, Jr. is a Gay criminal. Fact: He should be roundly condemned by other Gays. Fact: Only 1 Gay dude on here (Dr. Tim) did the right thing and condemned this perv. The Log Cabin Republicans and other Gay Leaders haven't said a word about the guy. That's the problem.

258. I think it is certainly time for men to be aware of the sex toys designed for them to get off without the aid of another human being, male or female. The advertisements should at least be put up in seedy bathrooms,if not even a darn machine that dispenses them.Women ought to be taught why God invented the jet stream on a shower massage! My,there sure are alot of sex crimes out there today! Is this trend ever going away?!

259. he wants to give head because he's a woman in his mind, all gay guys are like this, even the hairy macho-man handler types. when he sees a penile, he gets all girlie about it, thrashing his tongue around, and all this stuff.

261. When reading the posts from our "moral conservatives", I am always fascinated with their total absorption in, and obsession with "sex", in particular with the sex lives of others (in particular gay people. What is even more amazing is that when it others than their own party, they engage in "wholesale condemnation" but, when one of their own, it is still someone else's fault. Then, of course, we have the choice vs the "born gay" issue. Actually that is a non-issue unless one believes themselves entitled to dictate to others what choices they make in their lives. That is a favorite mantra used by the "rightist", if only to confuse the issue and rationalize "sticking their noses" into the lives of others. I sometimes wonder if such people did not "hate" gay people, whom they would have to "hate". Seems to me that they would have to find some other group. At times, it appears that some people, if they did not have a feeling of "hate", would have no feelings at all. How else can they feel superior to others?

262. another example of the party of "family values". oh...this is to good. they are going to tell me how i should run my family. from the looks of thing, i will gladly keep my family "dysfunctional" then have their version.

263. What Murphy did is attempted oral sodomy! It has not a wit to do with being gay, it was the actions of a sexual predator.
Gay and lesbian people always get the short end of the stick when garbage like this occurs.
Gay, Lesbian, Bi, trans-gender, hetero are all okey dokey in my book, it's the Republicans I cannot tolerate.

264. Before you label anybody as gay, heterosexual, lesbian, non-commited, christian, muslim, jewish, republican, independant, democrat, southern, hispanic, afroamerican or any other clasification that might exist, remember that at the end of the road there are two types of people: GOOD and BAD. No matter behind what shield that person hides or what banner that person flight, recognize the core of the person before you and act accordingly.

265. Why was this guy in a position to RE-DO what he had done in 1998? Was this a situation like priests being moved from parrish to parrish instead of being told to GET THE HELL OUT. The Republicans are about as pro-family fish who eat their young.
Charles Almon at 10:05PM on Aug 19th 2007
266. It's not about Republican vs. Democrat. It's not about family values vs. individual freedom. And it's not about "sodomy" vs. conventional sex.
It's about a special-interest group that doesn't have any integrity when it comes to acknowledging the crimes of their own.

268. It never ceases to amaze me how ignorant, intolerant, self-righteous, holier than thou, so-called Christians blasheme the word of God. I was raised Christian but my clergy, family, and fellow congregants preached love and acceptance just as Jesus did. Certainly not hate and violence against another of God's living creatures. According to these despicable "Christian" women, God didn't create gay people...well then please enlighten us and explain who stole God's formula and created a whole different set of people look-a-likes that lead such dangerous lives. Another reason that sane, decent, loving, tolerant people dislike and distrust the Christian right while fleeing that shrine of hypocrisy called the Republican Party in droves. Eunice...you and your 3 teeth need to complete third grade so you can spell/write properly. Pervert you goober...not prevert! Oh yes, Carla...why such venom and intensity? Maybe there is a woman or two that you cream for. If there is any justice in this world, you'll be consumed by the fires of hell long before "all the gays" get there! Yoou are a dangerous and horrible woman who must stand in judgement yourself some day. I suggest you pack very light clothing :-)

269. Be not decieved GOD is not mocked whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap you can believe Gods word or try to water it down if you want to but when its all over and done with we will all have great clearity, we all have to answer for words spoken and deeds done in the body

270. It"s about time to reconize that gay people are really sick and they need professional help. Blue cross will go broke if this is reconized. Insurance company lobbists will never let this happen. They pay plenty to keep the truth from being known. Our political society is also SICK.
