What serious news channel reports and quotes random internet diary postings? That quote was from a February diary posting by "dhonig" on the Dailykos.com where the dhonig was actually calling out bad comments on the website, not making them.
Dhonig responds to Bill's newscast.
Now it is important to note that I post under my own name, not a pseudonym. I think it is probably also worth noting that I am a litigator, and licensed to practice law in three states and many federal jurisdictions, including Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court. Not only is the O'Reilly broadcast defamatory, but I actually have the skills and wherewithal to do something about it.

"Stick their news weiner in America's big brown news butthole?" "Brokeback cowboy news networks?"
Dude, you have some problems. See a doctor soon.

17. 6. More people watched Bill O'Reilly reruns over the 4th of July than all the cable news shows combined!
Maybe because Fox viewers don't have friends? Everyone else was at a BBQ and not watching fox?
Ya think??

18. Fox Noise is so extreme right, that from their
standpoint,every one else is liberal.
The big lie is that all the other corporate
owned media is liberal.

19. O'Reilly is intelligent, sly, and crafty. He's a seasoned news veteran and can smell out the garbage that the left -wing propaganda machine churns out. He's withstood the lies and defamations from these looneys and it just bugs the hell out of them. Their message of hate and running down America is below
even the average American's intelligence. Bill has a field day with all these wimpy nerds.

21. #18. Actually there have been several university studies (Standford and UCLA) that do proove that the majority of news outlets lean left of center and are liberally bias. Here's one example:
http://www.polisci.ucla.edu/faculty/groseclose/Media.Bias.8.htm
There have always been liberals and conservatives in this country and pretty much most of the time they've been rude to each other. This attitude is nothing new. However, the hiring of journalist practices has changed. They used to be regular guys reporting for low pay not too long ago. Now they are college educated people trying to make a name for themselves like Woodward (maybe a famous star will play them in the movie!!). It's sad.

22. Mr. O'Reilley seems like a dreadful, horrible man, and if this fellow he slandered is indeed an attorney, I think a lawsuit is definitely in order, if only for the symbolic value.

24. People watch faux news because it is entertainmnent. Real news requires mental involvment and effort.
O'Reilly lies because that makes his show more entertaining, he plays to peoples worst instincts. He is saying what people what to hear, not what is true.
Unfortunately, too many people who watch Fox do not know what they are watching is make believe.

25. i am a Fan of Fox News, and as such I find most of these comments disturbing. I often ask myself what all of these Americans, that are bashing our President, would have done if they were President on September 12 of 2001. I can only hope and pray that the citizens of our great country comes to understand the dangers we face in our futures, and place the fate of this country back in the hande of the Republican Party. My God Bless America.

26. Hey Dave #24, your god??? Republicans were in charge of all branches of govt on 911. How did they protect us? By standing down the airforce?

28. Billo has the right to "comment" but when he injects falsehoods at the expense of others (Dhonig), it is a disservice to his viewers and the people he harms. Bill O' Lielly has made false claims throughout his "career" without ever paying any kind of price. But I finally figured out what "Falafel Guy" is trying to do. Ever since his ratings started to slip due to his viewers dieing off(literally - avg. age 70yrs), he has tried to stir up trouble with bloggers (DailyKos). DailyKos & Media Matters are Bill's biggest threats. He is trying to discredit and bring attention (younger viewers) to himself. Bill's livelihood depends on them. He is also being exposed and monitored on a daily basis which is slowly eating away at him. It looks like the watchdog is being watched. Thank god we have such outlets that expose the right wing media. These sites don't "comment" but rather offer actual facts (video, transcripts & audio).
What bothers me the most about people defending Billo is the fact that they find it o.k for Bill to do it (falsely), but when someone does it to him , their panties get all in a bunch! Whats good for the goose...
Bill is in a panic and he don't know what to do. He has been slowly peeled like an onion and he can't stop it. The best way I can describe it is by the famous scene in the Wizard of Oz. The scene where "Toto" pulls the curtain and exposes who the "wizard" really is....a scared little old man hiding behind a facade. That is what Bill O' Lielly is...a facade. And just like the "wizard", all Bill can say every time he is exposed is; "Don't pay attention to the man behind the curtain".
