I have to ask, why even bother having a Q&A segment during a beauty contests? Nobody cares what these ladies have to say and their answers don't change the outcome of the event.

18. I too find it extremely hard to believe that 20% of Americans cannot locate the U.S. on a map. If she were nervous and only heard part of the question...well, I would have stumbled on it too!. My first thought would have been...gee were they given a map of China??? Is this a trick question? LOL

19. Ok, so she's can't think on her feet. When she's scripted, she isn't a total bonehead. Has anyone seen her little clips on Youtube? She can read and respond fairly well. While I think it's pretty silly that she finished 4th - 3rd runner up (bad message to send to little girls), what are we gonna do?
So she doesn't know where "the Iraq" is? That might just mean she'll know where "the strip club" is when she needs a job. If she only relies on beauty, that's her pitfall. However, if she just slipped up verbally, then maybe she'll think again before trying her hand at public speaking.
