The media went nuts mocking and giving their own take on Miss Teen SC, but the President of the United States isn't that articulate himself. For a complete list of Bushisms, check out this Slate.com posting.
Coincidentally, this next Bushism was performed in South Carolina.

16. Look people. If it looks like an idiot and it sounds like an idiot, chances are, it's an idiot. Don't give me this, oh she was probably nervous crap. I've listened to lots of nervous people before and usually the worst they've done is say uh and umm a lot. And so what if George Bush has degrees from Yale, Harvard or wherever. That obviously doesn't make the man intelligent and it makes me wonder who is the stupiderest, GW or the idiots who come running to his defense anytime the obvious is pointed out. Duh.

17. In reference to President Bush's education - Best money can buy. President Bush's professional abilities - Best daddy could provide. I would have more respect for a man who built his own empire, struggled for every dime and came out on top than a man who rode daddy's coat tails.
As far as the beauty queen. Her mother should be slapped for encouraging her child to rely on her beauty and not her brains. Just portrays the "old South" where women are barefoot in the kitchen and the men are shooting them thar varmints.
The same parents outraged by pedophiles lurking around every corner and in our churches, are buying these sexually exploitive outfits off the store shelves and dressing their young girls like common prostitutes. Just goes to show that much of society and it's parents are oblivious to the damaging effect of stereotyping the nation's daughters by dressing them up like little hookers and encouraging dependency on beauty to obtain the good life. I'm sure Hooters and strip bars won't go out of business any time soon.
Shame on all mothers who encourage this type of "bad" attention for their daughters and shame on all fathers who live a double standard by idolizing attractive women outside of their marriages.... These messages you are sending to your female children are confusing and detrimental to their futures.

18. Mr., Mrs. or Ms. Lizard, Having been in the military doesn't make you an expert, and your demeanor makes me wish you would move to some other planet. Additionally, taking shots at anyone like you have done repeatedly in this blog is uncalled for. It's people like you for which the phrase "Don't let the door hit you in the ass" came about. So, "Don't let the door hit you in the ass." It might break your nose. Proud American

19. Mr. Byngham, Mr. Bush cannot even pronounce 'nuclear', it is always 'nucular'. Do not care which University he attended, his constant repetative habit of referring to the same word used 16 different ways when he speaks, is proof positive of the extent of his lack of verbiage.
When these half-wit parents start their children on this pageant circuit from the womb, getting their hair dyed by the age of 8, make-up, plastic surgery at a young age and teach them such intellctually useful thinks as 'step, step, turn', and whiten their teeth, along with a 'flipper, to give the appearance of perfect teeth they are learning that they will earn a cake-walk through life by use of beauty. Beauty fades, knowledge does not. i do not want to hear the lame overused answer ' i do this to earn a scholarship'. excellance in school courses, athletics and community service will earn them the same thing.
Lizard, even many of our seniors are moving to Mexico, Canada, Central America, to name a few, to enable them to live affordably.
I find Lin to make intellectual, eloquent and poignant statements regarding all subjects. I am not saying I agree all the time with her, she just does it in a way that reflects a reasonable hard thinker.
I, uh, personally, uh, even though think, the , um, map shortage is personally, um because US Americans, uh, have GPS.

THIS IS LIVING PROOF THAT THEY MUST BE RELATED, 2 F'ING DUMBAS SES WHO SHOULD BE PUT TO DEATH FOR BEING SUCH A SSHOLES

21. The braniacs who pretend they know everything about GW Bush have obviously never met the man. It is incredibly presumptuous for these
people to assume that an idiot can handle the everyday challenges of being President or that two college degrees mean nothing.
And mispronouncing words like "nuclear" doesn't make one an idiot, either. What does make one an idiot, however, is critiquing people which one knows absolutely nothing about. Most of the Bush-bashers know nothing about the President other than what they see on TV and they know even less about those who defend him.

23. ..."we ain't got no.." a clintonion-ism? well, can you tell us, to which speeched do you refer? and how many times?approximately if not exactly. example quotes, of course, would help in research undertaken to prove your contention.

24. Why is it when anyone says anything bad about Bush, they bring up Clinton as a defense? Maybe I didn't like Clinton either? That does not justify Bush's Behaviour.
Without Money and Power this man never would have his degrees, or the Presidency.
The slick political machine that elected this man uses him like a puppet.
I don't see how anyone can support his regime while he brings this Country to its knees.

25. dave,
in your appraisal of reagan as being perceived as a dunce in his terms as president,i tend to agree, and i also agree that he was anything but.
but may i point out that reagan was also responsible for the largest deficit america had ever seen(until G.W).
was not the true architect of the fall of the soviet union, nor the berlin wall coming down.(that was carter)
and through his administrations foreign policies helped fascillitate the current quaqmire america finds itself today in regards to the middle east.
the C.I.A called it "blowback".
examples;el salvador,nicaragua,iraq/iran(iran-contra),isreal/palestine
also in reagan's tenure the american worker saw the labor unions back broke, and the american worker experienced one of the most stagnant economic times since before WW2.(until G.W)
i am not an opponent to reagan's legacy,i just believe it should be an open and honest legacy and not a hero worship one.
all of this can checked and verified through F.I.A(freedom of information act).
it is through america's foreign policy of the past 50 years that america finds itself where it is today.
there were numerous warnings, from government agencies and analyst's, to other countries intelligence.
they were ignored.
reagan's administration bears much of this responsibilty.
as does clinton,and G.W.
all for cheap oil and inexpensive goods.
shameful.
till next time..peace.

27. Since when has being articulate been a sign of intelligence? Adolf Hitler was one of the most articulate men in history. It would have been better for millions of people if he had been a bumbling idiot! Winston Churchill was a poor student with a lisp, yet he overcame these disadvantages to become a great orator. Compare the two men above and my point should be obvious. Intelligence is not measured by whether you are college educated or can use big words in a speech. Intelligence is measured by how well you use the gifts that God has given you to serve mankind in a positive way. I have never understood why there is such hatred for President Bush. Please don't use the Iraq War as a reason. The hatred was present before the man ever ran for office. Despite all the terrible decisions that former President Clinton made; i.e. abandoning Rwanda and bombing Sudan to detract from Monica Lewinsky, I can honestly say that I don't hate him. In fact, I don't hate any President. It is a difficult and important job. The person that leads this nation; the most powerful on Erath needs my support and prayers. Sure, mistakes are made, but I will not contribute to the stress of the job by constantly ridiculing MY Commander in Chief! With a few rare exceptions, most ex-presidents die shortly after leaving office. Trust me it takes a courageous and special person to be a US President. This country is in a moral and spiritual crisis. The problems we have can only be overcome with God, faith and family. We will not survive if don't learn to love and support one another.

29. Rhodalee, I've been reading your comments on this and other blogs and I'm beginning to see a pattern. Beneath all of your intellectual snobbism, which is very obvious BTW, I see a lot of bitterness over this whole beauty pagent thing. Now, I could personally care less about them..and I don't watch them. However, is there a slight chance that the whole concept bothers you because you were probably never in a position to be considered for a beauty contest? What is so wrong h being noticed for your beauty? Not everyone is a MENSA member. There are also many beauty contest winners who have gone on to very successful careers. Do you begrudge them that?

30. I agree with you regarding Miss Teen SC. Unfortunately, in our society beauty plays a very significant role in success; particularly with women. It is a fact that many people resent and so they lash out at those who win the genetic lottery. I went to school with Puff Daddy's girlfriend, Kim Porter. If she were anyone else, she would be condemned as immoral, sleazy, etc. for having 4 children without a husband. What gives her credibility; her looks. She was able to enter those wealthy circles because she is pretty and modeling in pageants paved the way. It is a sad commentary, but it is reality. People need to accept that life is not fair. Society rarely rewards the deserving; look at Mother Theresa. If there was ever an example of the world’s priorities it was the reaction to her death in the same week as Princess Diana. I think that part of the hatred of President Bush is class envy. My solution is to love God and treat each person with respect. I stopped worrying about things I can’t change a long time ago.
