I agree with you regarding Miss Teen SC. Unfortunately, in our society beauty plays a very significant role in success; particularly with women. It is a fact that many people resent and so they lash out at those who win the genetic lottery. I went to school with Puff Daddy's girlfriend, Kim Porter. If she were anyone else, she would be condemned as immoral, sleazy, etc. for having 4 children without a husband. What gives her credibility; her looks. She was able to enter those wealthy circles because she is pretty and modeling in pageants paved the way. It is a sad commentary, but it is reality. People need to accept that life is not fair. Society rarely rewards the deserving; look at Mother Theresa. If there was ever an example of the world’s priorities it was the reaction to her death in the same week as Princess Diana. I think that part of the hatred of President Bush is class envy. My solution is to love God and treat each person with respect. I stopped worrying about things I can’t change a long time ago.

32. To #4 Robert Byngham. Did you make these things up. Bush was a legacy at Yale. His law school application was rejected. His business was a failure. He then lost a congressional race. Then he ran an oil company into the ground while selling his stock just before it went bankrupt. Was investigated for insider trading. Leveraged his ill gotten gains into a baseball team but he wasn't welcome there.
He then helped with his father's campaign and was converted to christianity by Lee Atwater who needed him to go to the church's and tell lies about Pat Robertson who was also running for president.
Elected to the Texas Governorship in a campaign where his chief political adviser Karl Rove ran the campaign by calling his opponent Ann Richards a drunk and a homosexual sympathizer.
Advanced to presidential politics by losing to McCain in primaries until he found a winning strategy. Inform the voters that McCain's child was black, that his wife had syphillis that McCain had voted against all veteran's legislation and various other lies.
Mr. Byngham. Your comments sicken me. First your attack on Jeff for showing us the videos and secondly for being so damned stupid to actually believe the hype.

Does April shove her children, which I doubt you've not a one, into the cesspool of a rampant pedophilia playground and take pleasure in teaching a daughter that beauty is the main requirement to a successful and full life? I hate to do this, only makes me as rancorous and caustic as yourself, I am 52 Blonde, green eyed 5' 7" and 135 lbs, so I suppose if I had lowered my standards and self esteem I may have found myself a tiara toting pageant person. Beauty fades, Knowledge does not.
In order to speak with eloquence and debate a disagreement on a subject matter, one not need be a member of MENSA, only read books by REAL authors, buy a Dictionary and a Thesaurus, so April venomous hatred towards women that actually have an opinion doesn't make them bitter or pysically unattractive. This is why my 18 and 30 year old, beautiful daughters live full and successful lives. Tkae a damn Xanax.

You are soo angry! Why? I think that intelligence is very important too, but not every woman or man agrees. Some women choose to invest in beauty, instead of knowledge. There is nothing you or I can do to change this. Beauty has always been more valued by some people than learning. It is a fact of life. Some girls choose to exploit their looks, i.e. in modeling pageants, acting, etc. Unfortunately, beauty often pays off far more than education. Her looks may fade, but in all honesty Ms. Teen SC has a brighter future than the majority of Ivy League graduates. As I said before society rewards a great physical appearance. Someone else pointed out earlier that she will most likely marry very well or have a lucrative looks oriented job and amass a fortune. I wouldn't loose sleep over it Rhodalee; just keep doing the things that fulfill your life
