31. Yah I'm a freshman and what did I do first day of classes? I went to class. Then that night.... I partied. Theres no reason to be anti-social in college. Drinking with friends is the best way to relax after a long stressful day of classes.

32. NYU is typically a school for intellectuals. This is not a school for some dumbass beerfest. It's not State College, you know....

33. Yeah, kids at a good schoolwho are motivated to learn and spend time in a productive, healthy manner. Let's all get together abd mock them!!!

34. I wish that video were realistic. The undergrads around my campus certainly aren't like that. Man, they annoy me more and more all the time. My friends and I pass around papers from the classes they are teaching and use the heinously poor quality for our own entertainment. We also like to spot girls with their butt-cheeks hanging out of their skirts. Oh, and the red paper cups. Pick up after yourselves!! Maybe I've just aged too much.

36. Well, NYU isn’t the typical university. There’s not a huge urge to get drunk there, as there would be at schools located in suburban neighborhoods where there isn’t a whole lot to do on weekends. The college I attended made drinking a priority. If you didn’t drink, then you had to make do with student run groups which weren’t all that popular, and even then, they drank too. Drinking will always be a tradition at any college or university yet sometimes, drinking becomes far too risky and dangerous. Drinking related deaths and injuries are going up every year, and it shows in their grades as well. It’s not something to overlook. This is a big issue, and by all means, good for the kids who actually ‘want to go to class’ and mean it.
NYU has the benefit of being in the heart of a beautiful neighborhood and a mere subway ride away from the rest of New York. Sure, you can go party in a dorm or find some happening apartment or night club for your alcohol fix, but really, why waste your time on that when there’s a whole city to explore. I won’t deride drinking entirely, I’ve done it before and I’ve thrown up enough times to regret it. College kids today drink to get belligerently drunk, enough to the point where it becomes painful to walk, talk, or just That is just stupid and it leads to so many horrible consequences and experiences. Know your limit, have fun, and don’t drink excessively. That’s my guide when drinking.
Oh, and don’t mix anything with amaretto.

37. Impressive the dedication of those young people who obviously understand what they are in college to accomplish. Each seems ready to begin the first year of early adulthood leading to maturity. Will they part, for sure, will that be their main goal? Seems the answer is a resounding NO!
But then they are seaking with a guy who apparently has decided to play Peter Pan and never quite grow up.
Wait, Wait,Don't Tell ME---This was all a set up, they are all party animals just hiding the wild side waiting to get out. Speaking of OUT MO------------>

38. Students usually binge drink when they're stressed or there's nothing to do. Entering freshman don't have any stress yet, and it's hard to imagine NYC being boring.
Nontheless, I think my entire generation has become rather apathetic about partying, and that's unfortunate. You just can't party like you're 25 when you're 45.
Cocktail anyone?

39. Such great kids...wow...our country may have a positive future after all...

40. I went to NYU, and I drank heavily my first night there. And the 2nd. And the 3rd. And the 4th....all the way to I think the 10th, but really I lost count. Though that was 5 years ago, kids have gotten a lot brainier. But intellectual or not, rest assured, Wednesday to Saturday night is pure inebriation, and I think their attitude towards sex has gotten a lot more casual to the point where I'm actually surprised. Brainy kids need loving too.

41.
College was def one of the best time periods of my life. Not a day goes by where I don't think about all the good times. I have alot to look forward to down the road; but def what a ride it was.

42. im currently a college freshmen. although im staying home, most of my friends have made their way to MICHIGAN STATE. The biggest party school on the face of the planet. "Wine Wednesdays" and "Thirsty Thursdays" and plans for not taking classes on Friday or Monday which makes for a 4 day weekend. Plastered all over there facebooks are pictures of welcome week and keg partys at fraternities. I was a party girl in high school, but now that it's over im more into getting a career plan. Although partying with my friends sounds great and the idea of not thinking about the future sounds fantastic...Binge drinking just killed 2 within 2 weeks of entering colleges on the news.....SPARTY ON!
shannon at 9:48AM on Sep 7th 2007
43. its not that the kids dont want to party any more, its that the colleges are cracking down on the partying, recently graduated after 6 years i definitly did my share of partying, almost getting kicked out a few times. cops are always giving out tickets, breaking up parties, there are tattle tales in the dorms getting people in trouble if there is to much noise. there is just to much risk now to party as much as people use to.

44. oh man that was pretty hilarious. Then again it IS NYU where kids and their parents are paying a BUTTLOAD for them to go to a prestigious school, thus they probably ARE excited for classes...jeez, what dorks. Mo, I know what you were lookin for and if you want THAT kind of answers, come up to UAlbany! My first week here, I went out EVERY FREAKIN NIGHT MAN!!! Party On!
Katy Kate at 2:21PM on Sep 7th 2007
