At last night's fourth Republican debate, there were several heated moments, most involving Ron Paul, who continues to be the maverick anti-war candidate.
It was interesting to see him tangle with other politicians, particularly Mike Huckabee, and he drew a decent amount of applause, but there was one disconcerting phenomenon: every time he started to talk, one of the other candidates started to laugh.
You can hear some of it on this video montage of Paul's answers (laughter at 6:40, for example, when Chris Wallace is asking about Paul's plan to eliminate American intelligence-gathering enterprises). Who is it? Rudy Giuliani? Whoever it is, it seems disrespectful. I'm not saying this because I have a horse in this race, necessarily, but because it seems tonally so wrong.

1. I think it was Tancredo. If you listen to the introductions at the very beginning, he laughs at something. I think it's his laugh the whole way through.

2. It was Guliani, the man who has no respect for himself, his first two wives (cheating on both of them), his children, his town of NYC (see what his own firefighters say about him!) and especially our country. A man that can not show one ounce of respect towards other candidates should not be given one ounce of our great country's presidency.

5. Ron Paul garnered 33% of the votes in the post-debate text poll Fox News conducted. Phone numbers were only allowed to vote once, so that ought to tell you something.

6. It was Guliani! A man who has no respect for himself (He is a liar), his two wives (both of which he cheated on), his children (his own daughter is not voting for him) , his city of NYC (look up what his own fire fighters say about him) and especially our country! A man that can not show an ounce of respect to other candidates should never have an ounce of our great country's presidency. Ron Paul, keep up the fight cus you are right!

11. This is tough for me. There are problems with 'libertarianism', but I cannot deny that of all these candidates, Ron Paul is the only one who speaks what I feel and think, what many of us feel and think. This is to the shame of the Democratic Party.
May the Lord have mercy on us all.

12. It would be good to figure out who exactly this is. Then we can smear the hell out of them for being disrespectful, unpolitical, unprofessional, and unpresidential. That was how Dean was discredited and this is how we can discredit those. I am wondering if was actually one of the moderators...They have no cooth.

15. Thom Hartman was reporting this morning on Air America that it actually was Hannity doing the laughing, and it's no secret Hannity can't stand true patriots and real statesmen like Dr. Paul because the good doctor makes Hannity look like the utter fool that he truly is.
However, the Hartman report is unconfirmed independently, so it easily could be false....
