A great majority of the country thinks the Iraq War was a tremendous mistake. Sixty percent say that we should set a timetable for withdrawal no matter what the conditions on the ground are. This is a position that is way to the left of the Democratic position (can we get anyone to represent us???). The country is sick to death of this war. And the people in DC and the people on TV don't get it!
They keep shoving the same garbage down our throats. There is a Washington bubble that exists outside of our reality. Every credible news organizations is reporting there is widespread ethnic cleansing in Baghdad and it has gotten far worse since the so-called surge. The level of violence is up, the ethnic cleansing is up, the Iraqi civil war is up and the Iraqis hate us even more now -- and all we see on TV is garbage about how the surge is working.
There were protesters shouting this morning when General Petraeus came to testify on the Hill. You know why they're shouting? Because the people in DC and the people who control the conversation refuse to hear from us, the American people. We don't have a choice at this point, the only way to get heard is to shout.
And that's exactly what I did this morning. What you see below is genuine anger. If the idiot conservatives who mindlessly support this barbaric policy in Iraq want to call me angry, go ahead. You're God damn right I'm angry.
I read the story of a 19 year old soldier who got all four of his limbs blown off recently. His arms and legs were only being held on by some skin. They could only save the top of one of his arms. And he had burns in 70% of his remaining body. All of that was for George W. Bush's pride and ego. They know we are in the middle of a civil war and there is no such thing as a unified national Iraqi government. Yet they still talk about progress and success and victory, as if they even know what those things mean in the context of Iraq.
If you're not angry about what's happening to our troops to protect George Bush and General Petraeus' egos, then I have to wonder whether you have a soul. This things isn't working and real people are dying and being torn from limb to limb to prop up the lies of politicians in DC. If that doesn't make you angry, I question your humanity.

2. This is the sort of idiotic rhetoric that prevents substantive unity on the issue you claim to care so much about. I have a hard time believing that you even understand the philosophical implications of soul-lessness, so please stop throwing the term around like it's some sort of water balloon. Frankly, I'm fairly certain it's not the troops' dying that has your underwear in a wad so much as it is your utter hatred for someone you don't even know. If you were not angry about the millions who died in Rwanda (because the victims were too black for the world to care), you do not have a soul!
If you were not angry about the genocide in Kosovo, you do not have a soul! (BTW - Muslims in Kosovo supported the invasion of Iraq. They may be disgusted by how the war has been mishandled, but, they supported the invasion and removal of Saddam.)
If you are not angry about the tens of thousands who have died and the hundreds of thousands who are at risk in Darfur, you do not have a soul!
If you can not see the hypocrisy, apathy, stupidity, and inconsistency of the world's leaders and many leaders and citizens right here in USA (some on this blog), you do not have a brain!

4. War is HORRIBLE! As they say, its "hell". BUT, and its a big but, cant you democrats see?! We need to stay over there until they can stand on their own two feet and walk around. And while they are at it get a job and live in peace. If you DO have any value for the human soul, then you should realize that these people need our help. To murder 601,000 Iraqi civilians as a direct cause we refer to as WAR, has the capability to enable one to be without a soul. ( above casulities from CNN.com ) It harms the depths of the survivors remaining ability to assimilate the most mundane of life's everyday routines without hating all that has come to FREE them(sic).
We have lost 3,800 military men and women murdered in Iraq. I am too ahte all of the Iraqis, WHY? With all your pretention and 'I am so all USA', try to retain what is left of your soul,sir and behave with humanity and dignity. All that have been murdered are someones loved ones. ALL!!! 10. It is very easy
1.get rid of these rules of engagements(they dont let our troops even defend ourselves)
2.give out phamplets by the millions in diffrent languages that any1 found with bomb making chemicals,explosives,bomb casings to get rid of them before a certain date or if those items are found.The head of the house hold/owner of the place where they were found/people found using them would be tried and killed (the phamplets would have a list of the groups of objects not to have)
3.make rule anyone not in iraqi armed services or
police in uniforms cant have guns(or they will be tried and punished accordingly)
4. curfue until iraq is secured
5.dont allow any civil disorder through any means

11. give the war's opposers and supporters hand grenades. that should help level the slaying field. the war began and continues to surge on due to a lack of sanity. emotional reactions ruled the days before war was declared. THAT was due to a total lack of sanity. we have to put the reasons for this war behind us and move on to grapple with the in-your-face-now-kicked-up-your-butt reality.
this lack of sanity continues and it refuses to allow the grotesque realities to set in. we're in denial. we're too afraid and too proud to admit our stupidity. if we're waiting for our age of enlightenment to save us,it is light years away.
the lack of sanity that sustains the military and the admin and the congress also sustains defeat. iraq is the sarajevo-blitzkrieg-pearl harbor,the fuel for WW3. we recognize it but prefer to believe that ignorance is bliss.
