This guy is unbelievable. From listening to the clips below, you get the clear impression that Bill O'Reilly has never hung out with a black person in his whole life. He keeps getting surprised that they are just like everyone else. Who knew?!
Listen to these gems from his radio show where Bill O'Reilly explains black people to white America:
As usual, Media Matters broke this story. Click here for even more details -- it turns out African-Americans don't randomly yell "motherf---er" when ordering their food, either. The surprises never end when you're hanging out with Bill O'Reilly. He's like our generation's Mister Rogers for racists.
Remember the average age of Bill O'Reilly's television audience is 71 years old (the radio show audience might be even older). So, he is basically doing his show at a senior citizen's center for people who grew up during segregation. That's why the fact that black people and white people are the same might come as news to his audience. Maybe he is doing them a service.
We also have to thank Al Sharpton for introducing Bill O'Reilly to black people for the first time in his life. What a hilarious odd couple. I love the idea of Al Sharpton being Bill O'Reilly's first black friend. Bill, there is so much more he can teach you. But this will come as news to you, too -- Sharpton does not necessarily represent the average black man. And did you know they're not all the same? I know, it's so hard to keep up with this crazy, new America where all the races mix. Give it time, you'll get the hang of it.

1. Sorry he didn't seem shocked. He used the term that "he couldn't get over it", maybe he couldn't get over the great service, as it's hard to get anywhere. He seemed to be making a point that successful working people are successful working people regardless of skin color. The idea that he was shocked is totally made up in your mind Cenk. Nice how you don't feel uncomfortable about calling senior citizens too stupid to have learned anything in the past 50 years, but you point fingers at this guy. And I don't even like O'Reilly.

2. I can see why you're just a bunch of white TURKEYS I could'nt watch the entire clip because it was a waste of time and you're the bigot and your green shirt bigot black host is too.
I do watch O'reilly on a regular basis and he's not a bigot, unlike con man Sharpton he speaks the truth, about how rap music degregates black women and makes black men hood rats!
I lived in projects and most black men are racists, they speak of slaves as if they had the experience and as a minority myself this country has given blacks more opportunities than any nation on earth including Africa, there are more black millionares in America then in the entire world I think.
Obviously blacks are like everyone else hardworkers and you got lazy MFs who prefer the easy way by selling drugs,Blacks are interpreneurs and some want gov. to give them everything because what whites did to their ancestors.
All of us had injustices done to us but what O'reilly suggests is that you move forward and you make a better life for yourself for this is a nation of opportunities, Like my grandmother always said if your the best heart surgeon in the world nobody is going to care what color the hands are that are operating on you just that you're the BEST. O'reilly also talks about having children out of wedlock which so call black leaders unless their Christian never address.
In conclusion I believe your wrong I watch CNN,MSNBC,NBC and the other channels to get the view from the left sometimes not for long for their one sided opinionated so called reporting is one sided, on Fox there are always the majority of the time the left and the right points of views.
Blacks can be evil just like everyone else so don't attempt to color them saints no pun intended!
His comment about the restaurant being normal is if you know blacks they're loud, they're always clowning and having a good time while white restaurantas are quiet.
The fact that your giving a forum for this is good but smearing someone you don't know where he's comming from is not!!

3. Get a life. Really, if that's the best that you got on Bill O'Reilly you're pathetic.
You're definitely no Keith Olbermann.

4. black people cannot stand the truth, they have NEVER invented anything other then aids. they have made no contribution to society.

5. The ignorance of white america never amazes me. What makes you think that this country is giving blacks more opportunities to be succesful than any other place in the world, as if we are not citizens of this country, just like whites? Get off your mighty white cloud and come to the realization that we have the right to opportunity and justice the same as you. I'm sick and tired of white media america always being sarcastic about my peoples ways just because we are not like you. I'm proud to be black and I don't have to measure up to your standards. Africans do not have to wear a mask because we love who we are. Do you?

6. another slow news day at air head America the young jerks should start reporting NEWS and leave the tabloid shit to the national inquire, if you losers had 1/4 of the audience that Oriely has you might not of had to be air lifted out of the toilet by that millionaire socialist Soros.... what a bunch of losers

7. YOUR MAKING A MOUNTAIN OUT OF A MOLE HILL. LIKE THE OTHER POSTER SAID, " GET A LIFE".
AL at 3:11PM on Sep 25th 2007
8. The comment I had issue with it the myth that if you "work hard and get educated you can be successful."
Work hard by whose standards? How do you get educated when you're in a substandard school system, without access to current tools and supplies? If you're living in this situation, how do you compete with someone who HAS had access to these things?
In order to work hard, you must first get work. Then you must get past the same pre-conceived beliefs (or, my personal favorite "interpretations") of others in order to compete in the workplace.
Yes, there are many people of color who have had to deal with this in their lifetime. I'm still amazed when it happens to me. I thought that by the time I reached 45 things would be somewhat different.
Not so.

10. Why is this being reported on??? I'm not a fan of O'Reily's but what is this ridiculouis spin that the "Young Turks" is putting on this. Isn't there other really important issues to report on?
tony at 3:15PM on Sep 25th 2007
11. I was in my car when this clip aired. I hear O'Reilley once in a while and this was one of those days. You seem like a nice young man. I stress the "young man" part. And perhaps new to the business. The remarks you made were so off the mark. Did you even LISTEN to the whole discussion or merely take out a piece that you could poke fun at? No wonder no one knows about "Air"..... Get your facts right, young man. Tired of the trivia...want the truth....K

12. Why is it a big deal when a white person comments regarding blacks, but blacks can denigrate whites it is acceptable? When the Imus situation arose, the manner in which blacks spoke of each other was criticized by some of their own people. What is the blessing or benefit of hanging ou with a black? The "music" is primitive, the mannerisms are ugly and the constant gibberish is offensive.
Let us try to raise the cultural level of the United States istead of trying to bring it down to the lowest common denominator.

14. I simply wish to mention that when I was a little girl, growing up in W. Va., it was the black men coming out of the coal mines, dirtier than black, wheezing with rock in their lungs. Never did I see a white man with a light on his hat and a pick axe over his shoulder. Back in the early 50s, it was the black man who did the meanial labor, jobs no one else wanted to do.
Sound familiar? Now, almost 60 years later, our neighbors from the south are willing to do the jobs no one else wants to do at a price no one else will accept. If these illigal aliens are granted amnesty and citizenship, within the next 20 years, we'll be seeing yet another race crisis much like we experienced in the 60s (at the hands of Sharpton and others) demanding equal pay, equal status, equal everything because they've paid their dues and they deserve it. We'll see Mexican rioting in major cities like Miami and LA. We'll see new amendments introduced and passed in Congress to insure everything is available and affordable to the Mexicans who came here illegally. And we'll see a sharp rise in prejudice, both white and brown, as they insist on the very same things our black friends worked so hard to receive through the enactment of new laws and through common sense. In retrospect, we'll see the modern brown slaves will fight for the same freedoms our black equals fought for to become our equals in the first place.
Now, to those of you who are belittling Bill, I'd just like to point out that not a single one of you is using our national language and its grammar correctly. Your spelling is atrocious and your usage is totally off the wall. I trust Bill isn't bastardizing our language like you are. In fact, I trust he's trying to preserve all aspects of the English word which I see you are not. You kids need to go back to school and learn how to spell and write--that, my friends, will be the first step in preventing our national language from becoming Spanish and it will help your children to want to keep English as the spoken word here in the good old U S of A.

15. CU
How can you even equate rev sharpton to O'reilly? Its ok CU, you can criticize black leaders, its ok, even if they call you racist, its ok, it really is. How you liberals pander to the rev sharptons & Jackson amazes me. Once, just once, I'd like to see you call them out, as THEY say. YOu'll criticize O'reilly, Limbaugh, etc., when they're wrong, and they are. But never has either one of those poverty pimps, sharpton & jackson been called to task for their indiscretions. You wonder why the majority thinks the "mainstream media" is biased.
