This guy is unbelievable. From listening to the clips below, you get the clear impression that Bill O'Reilly has never hung out with a black person in his whole life. He keeps getting surprised that they are just like everyone else. Who knew?!
Listen to these gems from his radio show where Bill O'Reilly explains black people to white America:
As usual, Media Matters broke this story. Click here for even more details -- it turns out African-Americans don't randomly yell "motherf---er" when ordering their food, either. The surprises never end when you're hanging out with Bill O'Reilly. He's like our generation's Mister Rogers for racists.
Remember the average age of Bill O'Reilly's television audience is 71 years old (the radio show audience might be even older). So, he is basically doing his show at a senior citizen's center for people who grew up during segregation. That's why the fact that black people and white people are the same might come as news to his audience. Maybe he is doing them a service.
We also have to thank Al Sharpton for introducing Bill O'Reilly to black people for the first time in his life. What a hilarious odd couple. I love the idea of Al Sharpton being Bill O'Reilly's first black friend. Bill, there is so much more he can teach you. But this will come as news to you, too -- Sharpton does not necessarily represent the average black man. And did you know they're not all the same? I know, it's so hard to keep up with this crazy, new America where all the races mix. Give it time, you'll get the hang of it.

31. As a black person, I didn't see anything racist about Bill O'Reilly's comment. He was simply stating somethings that were factual. No different from Bill Cosby airing black America's dirty laundry. The only reason that many blacks didn't call Cosby a racist was that they would seem rather ridiculous calling one of their own racist.
Anyone that's racist right now is Jesse Jack Ass who thinks that Obama is not black enough. I guess because Obama is not going around and having an illicit affair on his wife and fathering a child with another woman. Way to go Jesse Jack Ass
As for you Al Charlatan, stop pimping racism and pay the civil suit judgement which is about $400,000 to that white officer you accused of raping a lying and conniving skank call Tawana Brawley.

34. Bill OReily is a bigot? If you cut and paste comments out of context you can make anyone look like a bigot. When someone knowingly does a smear job on someone to make them look seem to be a bigot? Thats modern liberal journalism. So congratulations . You may have a real future in the news media!

35. I can't believe what I am reading for the most part on these boards. Racism still exist after all this time and we are all guilty of it. Bottom line is if you look different, your culture is different, your personality is different,if your language or skin color is different then automatically you are judged before someone even has the chance to talk to you. It is a fault that all human beings have, not just whites, blacks or mexicans. For example, if I , a white person, were to visit another country where the culture, the language and appearance was different, everyone would be staring at me and of course judge me because I am from America. Which they seem to think everyone from America is evil. The woman would be whispering because I am not wearing any clothes, at least that is the way it appears to them since they are not allowed to show any skin at all and the men would be looking to throw rocks at me, but not before they considered kidnapping me and making a video first to show their friends. Yet they say we are evil in America. We are evil for showing off skin, but not evil if you stone someone to death? Do any of you get this? Does it make any sense to you? Whether you are a animal, a person, an alien we are all different but the one thing that is the same is that we are all living beings. I believe God created every creature on this planet as well as other planets in the Universe. We all come from the same place and we really should all make peace with each other and accept each others differences. Heck, even my dog was prejudice, she hated kids. She was so loving and affectionate to anyone else but if a kid ran by she was looking to destroy them. She had her reasons I guess. Some cats don't like Dogs, Some Dogs don't like cats, I guess that is just the way the world is made up. We are all entitled to our opinions but in no way should go out of our way to hurt another person because he or she is different. Even as a white girl growing up, my childhood was terrible. I was very quiet and none of the kids liked that about me, I was a target and someone to be picked on. I used to take the long way home from school just so I wouldn't get beat up. I guess my skin color being white did not help me at all then,,,,It goes to show you that it doesn't matter what race you are, you will still run into someone or more than one person that doesn't like you for some reason. There is no getting away from it. We should teach each other about our different races, beliefs and cultures. It just might be interesting to get to know one another. No one is better than anyone else. Rich or Poor, white or black, you are who you are as an idividual and you control what your life turns out to be. Don't keep using crutches your whole life and place blame on why you are not what you wanted to be when you grew up. Some of us had a very bad childhood and still became successful. Those of us who blame racism or are terrible childhood will never get anywhere in life. Ignore people who judge and move on with your life! Show them it does not affect you. There is good people and bad people in every race. Base your opinion on the individual not what race or skin color they are.

39. well of course him being a very well experienced news reporter hes not going 2 flip out and say WOW I JUST COULDN'T GET OVER IT...ITS AMAZING! He's going 2 deliver the news in a professional manner. However him still being surprised that black people are "like everyone else" is still sad and that he has a long way to go before becoming a decent human being. How can you report to the world if you can't relate to other races and cultures. His own show...its ridiculous.

40. Some of you are being entirely too hard on Bill. First of all with all the problems in the world right now, why make such a big deal about him making these unimportant statements. Would you re-act the same way if it was a black journalist making comments about white people. This guy is NOT racist, he just doesnt have a lot of experience being around Black people.
Terri at 4:47PM on Sep 25th 2007
41. To be truly honest, I'm saddened by most of this blog space. Instead of a lot of you commented on the article regardless of which way you sway. You decide to take a ugly hit on a whole race of people, and they say racism is dead. As far as the article goes, and solely based off the article clip, I wouldn't say O'Reilly is racist. I would simply say that he is ignorant or black illiterate. He had a little sample of black culture and then tried to come on his show and sum it up. Not good.

43. Incredibly insulting ignorance demonstrated through O'Really's racist remarks from beginning to end.
Almost fifty years ago, the greates Broadway actress of her time, Dianna Sands, took me aside to give me a bit of insight and a life lesson. As we were then on the stage of Blues for Mr. Charlie, a drama in which MS. SANDS at one point gave an 11.5 minute monologe directly to the audience, during which, performance after performance you could hear a pin drop, this is what she told a then young white teen boy.
"Think about it Steve, we don't use toothpaste, we don't use toilet paper, we don't eat corn flakes" Her point, back then no ads eixisted showing THEM, no advertisements with a single person of the black race, people who quite obviously did use these products, existed.
billy BOY O demonstrates clearly how difficult progress truly can be with the utter stupidity of his remarks.
HEY BILL, some few of my role models, an Art Teacher who went on to head up that department at Carnegie. A vice principal, female, BLACK and even (WORSE) Jewish, who went on to head up the Connecticut public school system. Hmm, I guess some blacks started thinking for themselves before you were out of knee britches. One of the most memorable meals I EVER HAD was in Harlem; a very meager bowl of soup, thin, served at a kitchen table by an elderly grandmother-black. She cooked, just like white grandmothers she took care of her grandchilds friend. SHOCKED???? Hey billy BOY O' your certifiably an idiot.

44. Sorry folks. Cenk is RIGHT ON POINT here!
I realize there of those of you who don't see what he and the rest of us see so clearly. But understand that it's only because you share O'Reilly's ignorance. I'm not saying your all racist, but it never ceases to amaze me how many people have managed to live their lives in the dark. Just ask yourselves this question.... Imagine, rather than O'Reilly that this is Al Sharpton saying the exact same things about his experiences at a white restaurant, and concert. About how shocked he was to see that white people can be civil and well dressed. How he was treated kindly by the people in the restaurant. How there was no heavy metal or punk rock, and the band was in tuxedos. "Hey folks, it turns out white people are just like us!" "They're OK, really!"
How absurd would that be? That's how absurd Bill O'Reilly is. Now, hopefully , you can see the error of your ways.

45. O'Reilly has the full clip on his site (http://www.billoreilly.com). I listened to it....no carefully selected clips taken out of context. I think everyone should listen to the full clip and make up their own mind.
