This is the hardest multiple choice I have ever had to put together -- what is the most offensive thing Ann Coulter has ever said? There are so many choices, how do you boil it down to just four?
How do you compare her comments on Muslims -- America should "invade their [terrorists'] countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity" -- to her comments on Jews -- "we just want Jews to be perfected"? How do you decide which one is more heinous. I guess the comment on Jews didn't include killing their leaders and invading their countries. Does that make it any better?
Then there are the comments that are more stupid than offensive. Here is one about New Yorkers: If attacked by terrorists, "they would immediately surrender." Here's one of the problems with that statement: They were attacked -- on 9/11.
As far as I remember, New York did not immediately surrender to Al Qaeda. To top it off, Coulter also said: "Oh God, they're so stupid in New York." Right, as opposed to her brilliant analysis.
And, of course, there;s the instant classic about the 9/11 widows: "I have never seen people enjoying their husband's death so much." What's with her and 9/11? In some bizarre way she is doing the opposite of the Republican strategy of shrouding themselves in 9/11. She seems to be attacking anyone who suffered during 9/11. The only thing crazier than this plan is the fact that it's working.
Why? Because television producers keep putting her on-air no matter what she says and they keep helping her sell books. I hope her last statement is the straw that breaks this camel's back. But you never know.
So, let's see if we're up to the challenge of picking her worst comment of all time. You can read a list of most of them here (no list is ever complete because she keeps on talking and adding to the list on a daily basis). But here are my top four. You pick which is the most offensive.
Finally, she had this gem to say about women: "We're not that bright." If she just changed the "we" to an "I" she might have finally been on to something.

47. Ann Coulter is the Republican version of Jesse Jackson which explains a lot.
How about a list of the most offensive things Hillary Clinton has said/done? That list might take up two or three days.

48. The only thing that's "despicable" is selective moral outrage: If somebody on my side of the political fence says something bigoted or outrageous we need to forgive them, but if somebody I disagree with says it, then they need to be excoriated and vilified, tarred and feathered and have their livelihood taken away.
And for every Anne Coulter on the right there are ten people on the left like Michael Moore or Bill Maher who are willing to say virtually anything about anybody they don't like, including publicly wishing death on somebody.
Again, I don't agree w/everything Anne said, but is she really doing more damage than folks on the left who have lowered political cynicism to new depths where it's now no longer about mere political disagreement, it's about believing public servants are malevolent and evil, to the extent of murdering 3000 Americans on 911, so they could murder (650,000 or whatever imaginary number you people use) Iraqis, all to get oil?
And to be endlessly screaming "liar, liar, pants on fire" after we just went through 8 years of one of the biggest liars of all time who also presided over the most corrupt administration of all time who: did nothing about terror, except to pardon jailed Puerto Rican terrorists, abused women, was credibly accused of rape, allowed sale of nuclear targeting technology to china in exchange for campaign contributions from Chinese nationals, pardoned billionaire financiers, had a "bimbo eruptions" team that slandered and investigated women who came forward, also had the IRS audit conservative political organizations that were critical of him, had the CIA and FBI so confused they couldn't even talk to each other when people in FLA were taking flying lessons who didn't care about learning how to take off or land, sat on his hands while millions were being slaughtered in Rwonda, along w/a wife - the "most brilliant woman in America" - who mysteriously made $100,000 in the commodities market with no expertise, fired and slandered the White House Travel Office Staff and could barely remember her own name when testifying about the Whitewater Rose law Firm billing records. (There's more, but I have to get to work.)

49. #24 Tim Brown. I'll tell you "why I'm here."
For the sake of morbid curiosity. I wanted to see how many hypocritical Jews would be coming here to post thier "disgust" and "outrage" over Coulter's benign remarks, yet shows like "The Simpsons" or "South Park" (written, produced, promoted by Jews or "half" Jews), don't just use blasphemic comments of Jesus as transient punch lines, but rather, the crux of their entire show. Not to mention half of the "Hollyweird" Jewish producers who can't seem to get through a single film without some slanderous anti-Christian remarks, or a blatant attempt at rewriting the Bible.
Interesting how Sidney Blumenthal is penning essays about the "anti-Semite" Coulter, when his son, Max Blumenthal, is a continuous 'run-on sentence' when describing his hatred for Christians. ...And that's why I'm here!

50. She also made some comment that soldiers were the lowest class of citizen. They were unemployable and basically disposable and so what if some die to further some megalomaniac's dreams of empire. How does one pick the most ignorant thing she has said? I don't get it, she is insane, Limbaugh is insane, O'Reilly is insane. They follow, without question, the real "phony soldiers" Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz that created the worst disaster in foreign policy in our history. Yet people take them seriously and some live in fear of them. You can't deal rationally with irrational people. We need to bring our people home and "make partners" instead of enemies. People may fear a bully but they will never respect a bully. The idea that we can dominate the whole world by force of arms is hundreds of years out of date. I think Lincoln has turned over some many times he must have mat burns by now.

52. #50 Robert Bergan says: "We need to bring our people home and make partners instead of enemies."
A little difficult to accomplish when your enemy wants you vaporized because you're an infidel, irregardless of your political venacular.
Besides, didn't we try this already,ie, when Carter said to the Iranian hostage takers;
" Will ya'll terists kinly give us back dem dehr
hossages, prettah puhleez?"
Or Clinton's; "You terrorists STOP THAT, or I'm not taking you to McDonald's," approach concerning terrorists bombing our embassies, USS Cole, National Guardsmen Killed in SA, WTC bombing, etc., etc.

Thomas J Gassett at 11:50AM on Oct 13th 2007
58. One other thing: With the exception of Cindy Sheehan, have any of the families of the 4000 US military killed in Iraq sought celebrity status? 911 was a nightmarish event and those who went through it, went through indescribable horror before they died. But that does not entitle surviving family members to permanent celebrity status, to be used for political purposes. That's all Anne Coulter was saying and most people, I think, agree with that. (And yes, the way she said that was over the top and insensitive, no question.)
Dave at 11:59AM on Oct 13th 2007
59. #50 Robert says: "She also made comments that soldiers are the lowest class of citizen..."
Robert, you really should keep up with current events. These comments are well known to be an internet hoax. No news agency or critic of Coulter has ever been able to come up with an exact quote, or source of Coulter making these comments. Perhaps these comments were something a liberal had said, and she was doing her trademark paraphrasing of liberal rhetoric. Such as when she was accused of wishing John Edwards to be killed by terrorists, when she was making a parody of Bill Maher's comment, (that he literally said), when he "wished that some terrorists would have killed Dick Cheney." Spin, twist, and deception from the liberals, is how things get taken out of context.

60. I am Jewish and not at all bothered by what she said.
What is offensive is what foolish ultra liberals say or don`t say about the enemy in Iraq. They attack
our side but never the vicious killers called the
insurgents.
