This time it's John Gibson on his radio show talking about how he knew the school shooting in Ohio was done by a black kid who listened to hip hop music! Except it was a white kid. Oooops.
Then he was certain that the kid at least listened to hip-hop music (which, by the way, is not the same as gangster rap, in case Gibson is interested in knowing anything before he speaks; it's also not jazz, I know it comes as surprise to Fox News hosts when all black entertainers do not immediately break out in rap). Except the kid was a Marilyn Manson fan. Oooops.
So, Gibson desperately tried to pin this shooting on blacks or black culture, ignoring the fact that almost all school shootings in America are committed by young, white males (which also doesn't prove anything), including this one. Then, at the end, he unbelievably turns it around and tries to make the shooting seem more classy because the kid shot himself at the end. According to John Gibson, "hip-hoppers" are so cold blooded they they walk away from a shooting and do it again. Is his implication that white murderers have the decency to kill themselves afterward? Does that make it better?
It seems hard to believe he'd say these things, right? Listen for yourself:
I am not for seeing racism everywhere (I even defended Don Imus), but for those of you who refuse to see it anywhere, please tell me why Gibson went into this rant against black folks before he knew any of the facts of the case and kept it up even when it turned out it was a white kid who listened to "white" music who did the shooting?

16. In view of the plethora of stupid comments made on every site by people using a computer, I wonder why such self righteous anger is expressed at a television personality who has done the same thing.
Most of the comments that normally appear on these sites come from TV sound bites. American young people are known to not have solid historical educations.
American history is full of examples of the persecution of minorities. However, there aren't many, if at all, countries which have not done worse and continued to do so.
Fortunately, free speech is still a pillar of American values, stupid or otherwise. That right is not universal or enshrined in law internationally.

17. Hey young turds, maybe if you got all conservative commentators off the air you might attract more than 100 people in your audience. Well I guess not, poor research and boring topics will never succeed.

19. If you're gonna cry about reverse racism you should start off by giving precise examples. Don't make over-generalizations like "all Jews hate Christians," which is kinda a funny statement consdering how many Christians defended Ann Coulter who said Jews "need to be perfected." And I love it when racism is so blatant that instead of just admitting to it, the ignorant just say well "lots of groups of people are racist." Two wrongs don't make a right. This blog isn't trying to prove that only whites are racists, it is bringing ONE example of a man who is so obviously racist. You can hear the contempt in his voice when he says "the school is majority black." He wasn't reporting the facts, like when the news reports who committed the shooting. He assumed that it was a black ghetto young man who listens to hip-hop. That is a racist assumption, and quite funny considering that most school shootings are done by white men. I find it fascinating that the people who defend racist comments and say that it hardly exists, are the very people who COMMIT the racism. If it doesn't exist than why do you look down upon anyone that is a different skin color, religion, etc. from yourself? YOU are the reason people have blogs like this that point out the racism that exists. And what the hell does Gibson's political stance have to do with what he said? Do you think if a democrat made these comments they wouldn't be equally criticized?

20. Another thing Gibson forgot to mention when he was "reporting" the "news" is that this school is doing phenomenally better than other schools in that city. This alternative school works with other groups that teach them business skills that they can apply to real life. They also have a 94% graduation rate, as opposed to the rest of schools in their area whose percentage is around 55%. Instead of giving these kids credit for trying to make a better life for themselves, despite their poor upbringinings, this douche bag Gibson has to bring them down by complaining about rap music.

21. Funny--I have listened to Jews for, probably, thousands of hours in all, in various contexts, and have never heard even one "spew the most awful hateful hatred towards Christians.' What, if anything, do you actually mean?

24. Gibson should be fired. He doesn't bother to get the facts--he simply begins a rant with an indirect implication of racism and continues to blame "hip hoppers" until being told the gunman was white and into Marilyn Manson. First of all, get the facts before you opine about this tragedy. Secondly, MUSIC had nothing to do with this. This boy was obviously very troubled and no musical genre pushed him to do this. Gibson can barely put a sentence together and the sentences he finishes are pure stupidity. A cultural illiterate.

30. John Gibson, Rush Limbaugh, Bill o'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Tucker (what the hell is he doing on MSNBC?) Carlson, Ann Coulter et. al. are hate mongers who spew their venom because they do not have the talents to make a living any other way. What else can Rush (I don't have a degree) Limbaugh do? He is always taking offense at academics and anything black or brown. Their audiences is poorly educated and easily misled. Who the hell sits around listening to a m talk radio? It's people who cannot afford rados that pick up f m radio frequencies and blue collar, rednecks who are easily persuaded. They think they live in trailer parks because of affirmative action and minority set asides. The truth is Eugene McCarthy appealed to those of the same class. He is one of Hannity's heroes. A pox on all of them and their lineage. May they and their lawyers rot in hee.
