This is a world of rolling TV News, you can only comment on Gore's weight so much. Lots of time to fill the air with non-news. In this segment they cherry pick ex-winners like the "the most disgraceful ex-President Jimmy Carter" and the "father of modern Terrorism" - Arafat, who won in '94 with Israeli leaders for their attempts at bringing peace to the middle east. No need to mention past winners like MLK Jr., Mother Theresa, Lester B Pearson or Nelson Mandela. Fox News contributor Charles Krauthammer also said the Nobel Peace Prize is about politics and goes to people who are only "Anti-Bush and Anti-American." ...seriously wtf?
Being a news organization you can actually pick your own Nobel Prize winners and have segments arguing for it. In the TDS clip above Hannity said the American Military should receive the Nobel award...So let's award it to General Patraeus...

1. Hannity is so jealous, he can't see straight. To be such a Christian he shouldn't be letting the Gore peace prize get under his skin so much. Like the statement he made "I wouldn't accept a prize that has been given to a terrorist"...methinks the lady protests too much!

2. I love the idea of giving the PEACE prize to the military. I'm not saying our boys don't deserve an award or two, but a PEACE award... ya gotta see the irony. But when has Fox News made sense... saying bad things about the Nobel Peace prize is just sad

3. Fox people are just fucking bat shit nuts. Glaciers are melting. Southeast is running out of water. Ocean levels are rising. Polar bears are dying. Penguins are about to become extinct.
And these fuckheads argue about whether or not Gore and the other scientists deserve a medal for bringing Global Warming to our attention? What morons. Fire them all.

hehe, Not good enough for Hannity, but good enough for the Military. Does Hannity not have a brain?

5. Al Gore is a true American hero. Republicans should be able to recognize that. Gore is not acting in politics as a democrat. He is admirably trying to save the world. Gore, more than anyone, desired the Nobel Prize.

7. Actually, they were saying the same thing when Kofi Annan got it. You know the head of the largest rip off in the history of the world known as "Oil for Food"? The Peace Prize is not all that impressive as it was when it was given Jonus Salk for actually DOING something. Al Gore isn't a climatologist. Even if his movie wasn't flawed he's just doing a commercial for OTHER people's work. It's politics and that's sad.

8. It's sad that a network can get away with claiming to have a legitimate news division, when in reality it's a depository for right-wing bullshit!
I think what really irks Fox about Gore's winning the Nobel Peace Prize is that he had the audacity to donate the money toward his (and our) cause to save the world from impending disaster. In the minds of Fox "News" you KEEP money--you don't ever donate to causes. Just like the GOP that Fox works for, it's PROFITS BEFORE PEOPLE!!

9. Oh Al. . . such an American Hero; such a Genius Mind; such a Great Sport in the Political World; and Thanks most of all for bringing Peace to the World! You are truly a God and definitely a man we all should be green with envy with all your "accomplishments".
How do you do it all Al??
Is there ever going to be a Second Coming?

10. Anything less than fawning admiration for "inventor Al" is greeted with jihad-like rage. So Fox News isn't buying Al Gore's nonsense? Good. Let the Turks go into orbit and back again.
Many hard-working Americans are continually amazed at how Gore, the man who wants to lecture us about how we're destroying the planet zooms around in a private jet, has to be escorted in a fleet of big, honking SUV's and has a humongous mansion that uses as much electricity in a year as many people use in a lifetime. This guy is a hypocrite of the highest magnitude and epitomizes the "do as I say not as I do" credo of liberals. And I think his carbon footprint is bigger than his waistline.
Al Gore has become a caricature of himself, but that doesn't matter to the enablers on the left who can't get enough of this charade. A British court has ruled that there are 9 substantive factual errors in Al Gore's Nobel-Prize winning movie. And what would he be without his priceless "global warming" gig? (7/10 of a degree rise in temperature in 100 years). He'd just be a bitter old man telling anybody who will listen how he really won the Presidential election. Please.

11. 1) It's a peace prize. Expect Fox to come out against it.
2) Now that Al Gore has again sworn off the presidency, watch how fast Fox and AM radio loses interest in him.
The attention they give is always a good marker for how much Murdoch and Ailes fear a person or an idea. Edward Kennedy, Hillary Clinton, Michael Moore, even Carter. Focus group (

13. We are fortunate to have a few honorable men left in politics, one is James Webb and the other is Al Gore. Too bad that there aren't more to change this miserable world and get our intentions away from war.

14. There was a very interesting editorial in last weekend's Boston Globe by a Swedish scientist regarding Gore's being awarded the Nobel Prize.
He DOES believe that "global warming" is a problem, however, he explains and compares Gore's assumptions and solutions with the research that was undertaken by the United Nations research team that also was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Gore got all the publicity while this other group has been working for decades on the problem and have come up with some ideas that are not only sensable, but do-able and will have positive effects on the lives of millions of people. Gore rants about "we are all going to under water, etc, etc,." The co-winners have come up with some actual benefits to global warming. Also they have come up with ideas that if implemented will have more of an impact on people around the world then any of Al's slide show. This article looks at the two approaches to global warming. One by Al Gore, Hollywood, & environmental extremists and the other by climate research scientist who have concrete plans and ideas. Look it up because it is well worth the read.

15. MY QUESTION IS... WHAT DOES THE WEATHER HAVE TO DO WITH PEACE? THIS WAS OBVIOUSLY A GIVE AWAY TO GORE. A 95 YEAR OLD HUMBLE WOMAN WHO SAVED 2500 CHILDREN (DURING WW2)FROM THE HOLOCAUST WAS IN THE RUNNING AND I THINK SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE TRUE RECIPIENT! TO ME GIVING THIS AWAY TO ALGORE CHANGED THE VERY IDEA OF THE PRIZE. THE "PEACE" PRIZE HAS BEEN REDEFINED. IT IS NOW THE WEATHER PRIZE, AND I'LL NEVER TAKE IT SERIOUSLY AGAIN.
