New Hero in America: President Chris Dodd?

Chris Dodd put a "hold" on the latest FISA bill in the Senate this week. This bill was yet another sell out to the administration in a long line of sell-outs and cave-ins by the Democrats. I was ecstatic to see someone stepped up to fight it and stop this capitulation in its tracks. And that someone was Senator Chris Dodd.

So, today I have a little more hope in America. We explain exactly what happened below:

1. Thanks for the info Cenk. I'll go to Dodd's website and sign up today. What are the Democrat's plans here? Is it that they want no fights with Bush and let Bush implode politically? With 24% ratings it seems that the stragedy is working. Is this a plan to lay low and sweep the 2008 elections? At the same time, Harry and Nancy are appearing to send a weak signal to the American public.

When it comes to torture, Habeous Corpus and wire tapping it seems that one would have to draw the line. However any attack on Bush gives the Republicans cause to change the subject by attacking a 12 year old boy or an athiest congressman.

Re: Dodd, I have heard that if the insiders of the beltway were to recommend a candidate they would solidly recommend Dood based upon his integrity and abilities. Unfortunately, in our media society his strengths do not translate to us as well as they perhaps should. Nevertheless, it is a welcome sight to have a truthteller like Dodd tell us that the Emporer is naked.

2. Anybody with their cognitive faculties intact can clearly see that Bush hates America and most Americans. These bills are only proof of his goals to destroy our freedoms, economy, and society.
