1. They bood him every time he spoke, regardless of what he said. He needs to leave the race. He's just wasting his money.

2. I think all Americans want the war to be over, but 70% is the number. Convenient how people forget that the majority want to win first. Polls...they're only important when they back your beliefs, right?

3. Those right-wingers who booed Paul have no character. Regardless of your views, you respect people when the speak.

4. Jeez Mel, he's making the most sense out of the republican field, it's interesting you dislike a true conservative. And that happens to be a pretty flawed poll, examine the way that the question is asked man, because it has a huge bearing on the responses. A little basic political science for ya!

5. Go figure. It's a Fox News debate. Not exactly a classy audience with that collection of cave-dwelling hicks.

6. DAN is that the same class that Columbia Univ showed members of the Minutemen when they tried to talk on that campus.I remember that was a riot to stop the Minutemen from even basic free speech
Or Dan, is that like the booing Hillary got at he DailyKos convention when she tried to speak, the same mindless booing?????
You have a very short memory

We cannot win the war in Iraq, it is a lost cause. Why? Because by our own actions in Iraq, we are making more terrorists every single day. The only way that we could possibly win there is to kill EVERYONE in Iraq and start over with a blank slate, and then we would be infinitely worse than the terrorists that we are fighting against.
It is time to realize that, just like the Vietnam and Korean wars, the United States has LOST the 'peace' in Iraq and we need to withdraw and let what is going to happen, happen!

8. Maybe they are asking the wrong quesion - Since Fox does not trust their own text poll - the only one where they did not pre-select the voters -- maybe they should try another poll.
Say the poll recorded where the active military folks are contributing more to Dr Paul then any other republican candidate.

9. Mel -
How did you find out that the majority want to win firt? From a poll?
I thought the war was over a long time ago and this was now an occupation. In any case, how can an outside force win a civil war?

10. I believe the people booing was a set-up. Ron Paul looked shocked when he heard them after suggesting we get out of the war. Who in their right mind wants to stay in the war?Paul also said after the debate that he was given the minimum amount of tickets to folks that support him. This was a Fox set-up pure and simple. The war mongering media don't want to stop the war. Vote for Hilliary or Rudy and you'll see what I mean.
Bill at 8:45PM on Oct 23rd 2007
11. When discussing Social Security -- the other candidates finally got where Dr Paul has been for decades - admitting it is a mess.
Unfortunately they still believe their own propaganda that they can 'fix it' while ignoring the eroding dollar, which will undo all else if not fixed very very soon (why are Canadian dollars worth as much or more then American ones and Euros worth soo much more?)

He has my vote... bring the troops back home.

13. Last Friday some people were thrown out of the Bill Maher show because they were spewing out right winged rheteric. In this debate, ran by the right winged media channel, someone says a "liberal" statement. They are bound to get booed. I wonder how things would be like if there was a mixed crowd.
David McCool at 10:18AM on Oct 23rd 2007
14. Why would anyone boo someone after making that statement? Me thinks thou doth protest too much. Is Dr. Paul making you uncomfortable by talking straight instead of the doublespeak we are being force fed by the mainstream media and their chosen two?
RH Prescott at 10:30AM on Oct 23rd 2007
15. I don't particularly like Ron Paul, I'm not for a Libertarian most days. I simply stated he can't win and he's wasting his money. That's a fact Matt. Nothing I can do about it.
As for the polls, my point was that polls are used to prove EVERYONE's point. They are eradic at best and people use them when it's convenient.
Christopher: I don't have a chrystal ball and I'm not ashamed to admit I don't know everything but it appears the surge is working from most accounts.
