Leave Hillary Alone

I am not the world's biggest Hillary Clinton fan, but we have been noticing lately that she is being attacked constantly in the media for some of the most absurd things in the world. My two favorite are her "evil laugh" according to Fox News Channel and a Republican consultant calling her "fishwifey" (I had to look it up; it apparently means "a coarse-mannered, vulgar-tongued woman" or "a woman who sells fish").

Now, there is also a new attack video on the internet from a guy who has been arrested for fraud and is being financed by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth backers. So, the right-wing attack machine has begun in earnest. And as much I have policy differences with Senator Clinton (you can read those here), it's time to step up and defend her against these ridiculous attacks:

I think political attacks on someone's record is totally fair game. In fact, I don't think John Kerry attacked George Bush's dismal record in 2004 nearly enough. But personal attacks based on absolutely nothing are not fair game. Unfortunately, however, as you as you can see in the video above, this is exactly what has been leveled at Senator Clinton. We have to let the media know this is not acceptable. Talk about her record, not her chest. Enough is enough.
