Every week on our show on Thursday we do a segment called Republican Sexcapades. This is where we expose the hypocrisies of the right-wing and share the sexual misadventures of the Republican Party that week.
This week we had a Republican in Washington state who dresses like a woman, has sex with male prostitutes and then tries to cheat them out of their hard earned money. We have a serial ass-biter who is helping Rudy Giuliani's campaign. And a right-winger from Australia who says two of the pictures he took of his penis wound up on gay websites, but not the third. His classic line for denying the third picture -- "That's not my penis!"
You can watch this week's episode by clicking here.
I love it. These right-wingers give us more than enough material every single week. It has been a downpour of Republican sex scandals since we started this segment about a year ago. We must have chronicled over a hundred by now, including famous ones like Rep. Mark Foley, Sen. David Vitter and Sen. Larry Craig. But it's usually the less famous ones that have the best stories. Like the first story this week. This state legislator was probably wearing panties when he was voting against gay rights legislation. Does it really get any better than that? Probably, tune in next week.

16. Patty - 1)When was Tom Delay ever found to be in an affair? Please cite chapter and verse on that one because I missed it.
2)I think we've established that David Vitter is a hypocrite.
3)Newt has taken plenty of heat from Republicans for dumping his wife, but at least he isn't running around on his new wife.
4)Should Bill Clinton not be accountable for his behavior since he wants to get back in the White House along w/Hill? Should he not be expected to act like a civilized human being? Why have a wife at all if she's just ornamental?
5)As far as the rest of your post, I think you really need a few less cups of coffee, not one more, because you're rambling a bit.....

Well Dave,
Tom Delay did indeed have his little affair. However, I do not have anything to back up my statement at this time, therefore I will give this one to you. However, as soon as I have the details I will get back to you! (IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS DETAILS ON TOM DELAY'S AFFAIR, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO LET DAVE KNOW ABOUT IT) From most of what I've been able to read on these blogs there seems to be a whole lot of things a lot of people have either missed, or more likely refused to see what's right in front of them.
"At least he's not running around on his new wife???" Well, color me pink, isn't he just peachy??.
It's my turn to "miss that one", but man I sure don't remember Newt getting a lot of heat from his fellow Republicans. I must have been somewhere just rambling on at that time. David Vitter a hypocrite??? My, I'm shocked that you would admitt to that!! But, I would say he's more than just a hypocrite. And please tell me you didn't miss this one. But, his fellow republicans all came and supported the poor man, when he had to admitt he had been sleeping with a prostitute. Oh and his wife, the one who went after Hillary for "standing by her man". Boy, it must suck to have to eat crow and karma sure is a bitch!! Where were the sticks and stones, then??? Why does this guy get a free pass?? And Larry Craig didn't?? I must have missed that one too!!
One more thing, I never said that Clinton should not be held accountable for his behavior at the White House. I belive he was held accountable. And speaking of accountable, what about all those fine up-standing family values high moral politicians, that we have been discussing, should they not be held accountable??? I ask this question because based on what you have written down it would appear that Clinton is the only one that should be.
As for the rest of my post, I think it was obvious that I was being silly , and going out of my way to show how dumb most of the posts here are!!
If you look at all these different posts on this blog and others, people go a little nuts. Heck we all get a little crazy at times. Oh, I know... Perhaps that's Bill Clinton's fault also???
Dave laugh a little, life is too damn short!!
Patty at 11:45PM on Nov 1st 2007
18. "And let's see, what did Larry Craig do: tapped a cop's foot we think."
We KNOW he confessed to something else though, don't we? They even let him plead it down.
Was he too dumb to know what he was doing?
He is either guilty or a perjurer. And either way, he's still a hypocrite and THAT's his bete noir, not the other stuff.
He's had homosexual allegations following him for his entire career in congress, just like Foley.
Lotta smoke for no fire. Yeah, probably a vast liberal commie plot, I know, I know....
"How is Ted Kennedy any less of a hypocrite than any of those guys?"
Well, to begin with, he never for one damn second denied what he did.
He called the cops, unlike Larry Craig, Vitter, Foley, Robert Packwood or Clarence Thomas. And nobody tried to cover up what he did, like Dennis Hastert or John Boehner did with Foley. Or nixon and his bunch.
Or you, in your own sweet way, to quote Dave Brubeck.
And he didn't get a standing ovation from congress for paying his hooker bills or not being gay, or confessing after he got caught like Vitter.
"Let take a vote. How many Liberals and or Democrats are members of the ACLU? You know. The organization that is defending NAMBLA - for free"
You mean the organization that defended Rush Limbaugh, the drug addict and hypocrite - for free? I don't think Rush called the cops either.
I know, Rush was just a victim and it was his evil maid's fault, right?
Dang! High road for the dems AGAIN! must be frustrating...
I wonder how many NAMBLA members are republicans?
Show of hands? HEY, THAT'S NOT YOUR HAND!!!
"Would you enter into a financial agreement with someone who emphasizes and encourages values, or someone who doesn't?"
I dunno, did Ken Lay encourage values? Did Larry Craig? How about Duke Cunningham, Tom DeLay and Ted Stevens? David Dukes? As an aside, I don't consider ethnic cleansing to be a 'value'.
"His (ted kennedy -ck) skirt-chasing trumps foot tapping or suggestive E-mails any day of the week"
Well, REPUBLICAN emails and foot tapping ONLY, I'd bet.
If a dem did it you know how you'd react and so do I since you wear your prejudice in flashing dayglo on your shirtsleeve.
But all that does not trump republican HYPOCRISY, much like you're trying to get away with here.
"Juanita Broderick came forward and made the charge that Bill Clinton raped her. That is accurate and factual. No, there was never a legal case brought against him, but rape was alleged"
Well, which was it, alleged or factual? Flip? Flop?
Ever heard of Margie Shroedinger? She's not the one with the cat - that's science and real hard....it's hard!
She's the dead one!
She's also the one that sued George Bush for sexual harrassment, but she died, just in tim--er,in an untimely manner...untimely! Yeah, that's the ticket! Good strategery!
And who started a war that killed 624,000 Iraqi citizens in two years? At that rate he's WAY ahead of saddam's wildest dreams!
Oh, yeah, this Bin Laden guy. I'm waiting for some kind of sincere effort, but Iran jumped the line.
I sure wish Osama had some oil! He'd be a tanned hide on a wall by now if he did. Well, if a democrat were in office anyway.
Dems win wars, selfservatives win no bid cost plus contracts and cut and run from wars.
"Yes. We'll just trash the whole Republican Party because a few of them turn out to be human"
No, you guys can keep the ones that turn out to be human. It's the subhuman phonies like the aforementioned we're perturbed about. I'd love to see honest republicans, but they're rare since McCarthy.
"Did he do other things? Maybe, but not that I know of."
You don't KNOW about any of these, but that doesn't seem to matter as long as they're not republicans.
I would be right about that, wouldn't I?
Hey, if you're the same Dave I heard about, the one that lives in a cave, congratulations on saving all that money! Very fiscally responsible for a selfservative!
Dudes, as I have it, there are a couple of words you need to fear in the upcoming months:

19. I know that GOP politicians are spokespeople for God's intentions. I was unaware, however that God prefers war to peace, has contempt for the poor and meek, likes seeing the Earth get polluted for the sake of corporate profits, hates gays, immigrants, racial minorities, union workers, and the sickly. But I will admit that if God stands for the things I just mentioned, his GOP darlings are certainly His most faithful followers!
Marshall Rubin at 11:55PM on Nov 1st 2007
20. My goodness Clif Kuplen, I really, really like you!!
I sure hope you are making a lot of calls to Washington!! How can anyone ignore you?
Keep up the good posting!!

22. What is so wrong about being anti-gay while engaging in so gay hanky-panky? That's like saying that a heavy-drinking politician is a hypocrite for voting for stiffer penalties for serving underage people or lowering the standard for DUI from .1 to .08.
Kent at 1:19AM on Nov 2nd 2007
23. Cliff - 1)I did not defend Larry Craig. At the very least he's a sleaze and he needs to go away. And I'm not defending Vitter or Foley.
2)Your "commie plot" tangent is very cute, but totally unrelated to what I posted.
3)I know of no substantiated allegations with Mark Foley, only E-Mails. Which is worse, that or serial philandering by ex-Presidents which effectively renders one's marriage a joke?
4)You're going back to Nixon to try and refute my points? Please.
5)David Duke was drummed out of the Republican party. I notice Robert Byrd is still around.
6)I was talking about Ted Kennedy, of "waitress sandwich" fame. (And you're going to try and argue that he acted responsibly after the accident? Please.)
7)Ever hear of Vince Foster and Ron Brown? Yes, how convenient that they died.
8)Yes, I am familiar with science. You, sir, are incredibly presumptuous.
8)Ken Lay and Enron gave far more to the Clinton Administration than they did to Bush. When Lay asked for help Bush wouldn't give it to him. So much for the "good old boy" theory.
9)Your casualty estimates are concocted by folks with an ax to grind. The UN says it's about 70,000 and foreign leaders can walk in there and call Bush "the devil" so I don't think the UN is part of the "vast right wing conspiracy." you must be one of those progressives that "supports the troops" but believes they're engaged in wholesale slaughter of Iraqi civilians.
10)Thanks for the cave suggestion. It would definitely help cut down on property taxes. I'd answer more of your assertions, but I doubt you're really open to new ideas and I've already spent more time than I should have. Oh, and
11)That Juanita Broderick alleged Clinton raped her is a fact. And that is what I said. Flip flop? You're confusing me with Kerry....

25. Cenk and Young Jerks-Better story for you than this tabloid type story.
Billionaire Democrat Jeffrey Epstein has criminal charges against him in Palm Beach resulting from investigation by Palm Beach Police involving 14 year old and other underage girls which resulted police seeking 4 counts Sex Misconduct with Minor Girls.
Florida District Attorney Barry Krischer, who went after Rush Linbaugh with such zeal, had to take himself off the case at the request of Police Chief Michael Reiter because he was showing favoritism towards the defendant Epstein. Democrat Epstein was also involved in sexual activities with a Transgender male/female, when she was under age. The DA Krischer, a Rush Linbaugh hater, is known close friends with Billionaire Epstein. Epstein also is a heavy Democrat Contributor, and has given to both the Clintons campaigns. Clinton had once flown in Epsteins 727 Jet.
So here as a case of a Democrat DA trying to cover up Sex Misconduct with minor girls, the same DA who went after Rush Limbaugh. HMMMMMMM. Cenk, you are playing tabloid press and ignoring real stories.

26. rhodalee #13 wrote "Bush/Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld illegally wiretapped phones before the legal withdrawal oh habeus corpus, they kidnap and murder innocent people, illegally invade other countries based on lies and proceed to destroy an entire culture, want to Iraq redux in Iran, will not provide children with healthcare and so much, I can't even finish."
YES. They wiretapped phones. There I said it. They violated the privacy of suspected terrorist just so we can be protected. Bush didn't do enough to prevent 9/11 and he is doing to much to prevent it from happening again. The Guy just can't win with you people. I see the liberals don't have a problem curtailing religious, gun ownership or property rights, but God forbid if we should try to keep people safe.
Kidnap and murdered innocent people? Do you get your information from Hollywierd? I'd like references on this one.
As for invading a country based on lies, 1st) provide evidence that Bush knew well in advance that he lied. I've asked and no one provides the proof. They just keep minicking Michael Moore like an mindless parrot. 2nd) Both Clintons believed that Iraq had WMDs. Kerry belived they had WMDs, The Democrats that voted of the war believed it. So I guess they are liars too. As for destroying a culture, give me a break. Their culture consisted of government run torture and death. Dispite their dislike for us, they still believe life is better now than under Hussan.
Want to invade Iran. Perhaps. Your point? Obama said he would attack Pakastan if he had to.
As for denying healthcare to children, thats an outright lie on your part. Not one Republican has ever advocated denying healthcare to anyone. Republicans just don't think the government should be paying for healthcare when the parents can and should be doing it themselves. We don't believe in big government and putting healthcare choices in the same hands who can't manage natural disaters and education.
"Now, ask me that question once again"
Why bother. You didn't have the integrety to answer it the first time.

Clif answered "You mean the organization that defended Rush Limbaugh, the drug addict and hypocrite - for free? I don't think Rush called the cops either."
Clif is comparing defending Rush with defending an organization that advocates child rape. Even for Rush bashers, that comparison has to be pathetic.
Ed at 9:20AM on Nov 2nd 2007
29. Let's step back from this who is worse discussion for a moment.
There are people on both sides who do things that are frowned upon or are outright illegal. The label of "hypocrite" is attached to those who profess one set of behaviors and act in the opposite manner. A democrat whose campaign promise is ending bribery in office and then accepts bribes is a hypocrite. If s/he did not profess bribery as bad may be a criminal, but not a hypocrite.
alan at 9:36AM on Nov 2nd 2007
30. I see. So even though the average citizen does such things, it is not ok for a politician to do so? I do not understand the difference. Just because they are in office? Not too long ago there was a big to-do about a gay woman who wanted to be sheriff, and a politician who admitted he was gay, after taking his government position. There was a big outcry from the gay and liberal communities. So, what is the deal? Either an American can practice their sexual desires or they can't.
Just because a lot of Republicans are "right-wing", does not mean that some are not gay. Like anyone else, they want their privacy. So why does the liberal and gay communities vilify them when some of the very same people practice the same thing? It is hypocrisy.
Bottom line; being gay crosses political boundaries. Common sense.
