Anyway...So we miss Jon Stewart, but the beauty of the Internet is that we can re-live magical moments at the click of a button, and in this post we will re-live classic Jon Stewart Moments.
The first clip is a Standup appearance from Jon Stewart back in 1996 in Miami, part of his HBO special titled "Unleavened." In this clip he touches on middle east conflicts and the simplicity of invading Canada. Enjoy.
The Second clip in this Jon Stewart adventure is from back in 2004, when Jon Stewart appeared on CNN's Crossfire and railed into partisan pundits Tucker Carlson and Paul Begala about how their political format "hurts America," Tucker wanted Stewart to be his monkey and this discussion escalated to the point where Stewart called Carlson a "dick." - Possibly the greatest moment in television, Crossfire was eventually canceled.
Next is a clip from an interview between Bill Moyers and Jon Stewart that took place in April of this year, Jon talks about the Daily Show in this clip, the full interview can be found here, on PBS.
Have you made it this far? Are you still with me? If so then today is your lucky day, I have dug up an hour long interview with Jon Stewart on CSPAN (American Perspectives) from October 2004. Sit back, and enjoy.

16. Happy Birthday, Jon! We miss you! Thank God for recordings. It's a very target rich environment out there and there will be plenty of material piled up when the strike is done with. More and more entertainment is moving to the web and the writers are right to stand their ground.

17. Is there anything we can do to hurry The Daily Show's return? I've been through my TIVOs of Jon and Steven twice, now, and I'm hurtin'.

18. hey thanks for the fix. good to hear stewarts opinion again on things. cant wait for the strike to end, on the side of the strikers, they deserve the money, they make the content and they have shown what TV is like without them.

20. For those who say that Jon Stewart's show is a joke- I thought you might enjoy this bit of knowledge from my Political Science College TEXTBOOK...
"Recent research demonstrates that people do learn valid political information from the media. A poll by CNN found that viewers of late-night tv programs were more politically informed than nonviewers. THE BEST INFORMED WERE THE FANS OF THE DAILY SHOW, hosted by Jon Stewart on the Comedy Channel. In fact, viewers of this program were more informed than those who read the newspaper regularly. On a test of political knowledge of current affairs, Daily Show viewers got 60% of the questions right, while Leno and Letterman fans answered 49% correctly. All of these scores are above the national average, although it should be noted that Daily Show viewers are more educated and more affluent than most, explaining some of the variation."
Eat that, you narrow-minded Bill O'Reilly worshippers.
(That felt good)
