On MSNBC: a man with a bomb strapped to his chest has reportedly taken at least two Clinton campaign workers hostage in Rochester, NH. He has so far released a woman with a baby:
"A young woman with a 6-month or 8-month-old infant came rushing into the store just in tears, and she said, 'You need to call 911. A man has just walked into the Clinton office, opened his coat and showed us a bomb strapped to his chest with duct tape,'" witness Lettie Tzizik said.
Hillary isn't there. She's in Virginia today.
We just switched on CNN, which has a helicopter on the scene, and they're saying Hillary has canceled today's appearances and Obama has evacuated his nearby office. The candidates are reportedly all calling each other to share information about the threat.
No demands have been made yet, so we're left to hope everyone's going to be okay, and to speculate about the hostage-taker's motives.
UPDATE, 4 hours in: The SWAT team is working to get the man to surrender himself, any hostages he's still holding, and to give up on his demand to speak personally to Hillary. The suspect is known to police and is apparently mentally ill; it's been reported he told his step-son to watch the news today.

3. I think Hilly's campaign has gone with this "planted agent" scheme one time too many now. To arrange for one of your campaign team to act as a hostage-taker is just too much. And look who's among the first to the scene... it's CNN (again)!

4. What a cruel stupid thing to do. All this is going to do is give the elite yet another excuse to take away our civil liberties. Whether it's a real bomb or not it will likely have no impact on Hillary's campaign other than harming likely innocent, albeit ignorant people who are supporting her, as well as their families, friends and so forth. Anyone with half a brain can feel the frustration of having the media narrowing this contest down so we'll have a "choice" of either starting our third decade under a two family rule or having someone who's been described as "Bush on steroids," succeeding Bush, yet violent tactics are surely the wrong way to go about things.
People need to be informed, not terrorized. We get enough of that from our leaders who openly support terrorism but call it something else when they're the ones who are supporting same with our hard earned tax dollars. What we don't have is enough people out there explaining why they're frustrated with how the media are distorting our elections, allowing people who were not elected for public office narrowing down our prospects to two unacceptable choices in lieu of spreading vital information the media are otherwise distorting or hiding altogether. We do live at the height of the Information Age, yet a proportionate few are still deceiving most. Violence is not the answer, communication is. - Dr. Kenneth J.
