Now, let's enjoy Keith Olbermann rip it into the President. C&L has a transcript.

16. Amen! Impeach these criminals and send them to jail where they belong.

17. Keith Olbermann has made no secret of the fact that he hates the President with a passion. This is merely the latest installment in this man's long-running temper tantrum against George W. Bush. While Mr. Olbermann's rhetorical flourishes are quite impressive, that does not validate the premise he tries to advance: that Bush is either a cynical liar or a supremely deluded moron. Consider the following:
On July 11, 2007, Thomas Fingar, one of the three authors of the much trumpeted latest NIE report testified before the House Armed Services Committee that: "Tehran is determined to develop nuclear weapons - despite obligations and international pressure."
Mr. Fingar needs to answer these questions:
1)Why did your assessment of Iran's nuclear capability change so drastically in four or five months?
2)How do we know the latest assessment is correct and your 7/11/2007 testimony is incorrect?
3)Even if this latest assessment is correct and Iran stopped enriching uranium in 2003, why did this information take four years to arrive?
4)What if Iran starts enriching uranium again in 2007? Will we find out about it in 2011? And won't that be too late?
5)What if the new intelligence is wrong and how much confidence can we have in any intelligence assessment when it comes to nuclear weapons?
6)How objective can you be when you clearly have partisan proclivities which are decidedly antithetical to the President's expressed desire to stop Iran from gaining nukes, even if it means war?
The issue here is not Keith Olbermann. And it's not the President. Or Dick Cheney. It's whether Iran is developing nuclear weapons and how accurate and reliable the intelligence is that tells us whether that is or isn't happening.
So can we please grow up and get beyond this childish, half-crazed, mindless obsession with George W. Bush? Keith Olbermann obviously can't because he's clearly acting like a child who's had his favorite toy taken away. Do so many Americans have to duplicate this sorry, pitiful routine?

18. Dave writes..."The issue here is not Keith Olbermann."
And yet so much of your post is an attack against him.
Take note of what is happening, Dave. Increasingly, people who work in government, mostly White House "insiders" are coming out of the political closet. They see the writing on the wall. Dick & Bush have been thoroughly exposed. Their own people are jumping ship. They don't want to go to prison for aiding and abetting Dick & Bush. They don't want to go down in the history books as liars. They aren't going along with the lies any longer.
Seriously, Dave, if you and your ilk can't see that Bush got caught in another lie, there just isn't much help for you.

19. Captain - Most of what I've written was about the pertinent facts regarding Iran, nuclear weapons and the NIE report. Yes, I've devoted 2 or 3 paragraphs to Keith Olbermann, only because his ranting is illustrative of the fact that it is the Bush critics, not the President who are out of touch with reality when it comes to Iran, Iraq, the war on terror and our efforts to stop nuclear proliferation to rogue nations.
And you've chosen to address none of those facts and questions that I presented. Instead you've defaulted to your little predetermined template that Bush is evil and/or incompetent. I'm not defending everything that Bush has done in his Presidency, only raising questions regarding the inconsistencies in the State Dept. assessments of Iran's nuclear capabilities.
How simple life becomes when one starts every single discussion with George W. Bush as bogeyman, instead of a man who, right or wrong, sticks to his convictions and is not going to subject his foreign policy and national security decisions to the whims of polls and public opinion. And that drives people like you crazy, but if the Prez had governed Iraq according to polls, we'd have surrendered, gone home and anyone who had anything to do with helping America stabilize Iraq would've been slaughtered.

20. Olbermann is just another useful idiot for the Iranian government. He forgets the regime's call for the destruction of Israel and all the other insanity. If an opportunity to bash Bush and the US presents itself, you can always count on Keith. And please, wash your hair!

21. Dave, if I didn't take note of something in your post it was because there was no need to address every single point of your post.
Bush was trying to lie us into attacking Iran, just like he lied us into attacking Afghanistan on the *pretense* of hunting boogeyman bin Ladin.
He was trying to lie us into attacking Iran just like he lied us into invading Iraq first by claiming that Hussein was in cahoots with Al Qaeda and, failing that, with lies about weapons of mass destruction.
Bush was trying to lie us into invading Iran based on a nuclear weapons program which does not exist.
Bush is trying to lie us into Pakistan on the pretext of "defending their nuclear sites.
Bush is lying us into World War III and you don't seem to notice.
What has Bush ever told us the truth about?
You cannot deny that Bush insiders are abandoning him. He's a lame duck and people like his press secretary (reference to Plame) are saying, "No. Not going to lie for you any longer."
I repeat the question. What has Bush ever told us the truth about?

22. "Olbermann is just another useful idiot for the Iranian government"
Don't worry, IRONBLUEEYES, Iran is toast, whether they deserve it or not. The Bush Organized Crime Family is going to see to that, even if they have to get Israel to fire the first shot.
