Video of Bill O'Reilly's perspective below my ramblings.
Bill O'Reilly....What a card. How did America find this guy?
We've all seen the tape now, Bill O'Reilly of Fox News with his trusty cameraman at his side, desperately trying to get a picture of Obama. At first he fails, O'Reilly never fails. As you watch the tragedy unfold, I see a belligerent old man, whining because he isn't getting any respect. The Obama staffer is playing childish games with the Fox News cameraman, childish? Yes, but I can think of many who would do the same if given the opportunity, I salute this tall, brave staffer, I will categorize this blog post under activism in your honour.
Bill's demands turn to shoving and cussing and the two are finally separated by the Secret Service. Bill O'Reilly, reminds me of your classic grade-A elementary school bully.
But that's not news, what is news is Bill O'Reilly's recap of the scuffle on his own show, gotta love when O'Reilly gives analysis of his own actions, we can only hope he invites on the body language expert for this one. He explains he was defending his rights as an aMerican, then goes on to say that the staffer was lucky, because Bill O'Reilly would have beat up him up, only if he was shorter, he stays true to the bully code. Only beat up people smaller than you. Obama said he would go on O'Reilly's show after New Hampshire, that should be an interesting watch.

1. I can't imagine why Obama would even waste his time going on O'Reilly's show.
Fox is failing badly in its election coverage, and its attempts to remain boot-lickingly loyal to Bush while also trying to embrace Republican candidates who want to distance themselves from the disaster that is the Bush Administration, throws one hell of a huge monkey-wrench into the neo-Conservative propaganda machine. Ergo, all they have left is to attack Democratic candidates.
Nonetheless, you did hit the nail on the head. O'Reilly is a bully, and every thing he does is nothing more than mindless preening designed to stroke his own hopelessly bloated ego.
Unfortunately, Jeff, you stopped short. O'Reilly is also a very hollow man with little to no experience in journalism, his intellect is on par to that of a child, and his tired, foot-stomping, meltdowns and tantrums were at once comical, but have now become tedious and boring.
I like that he has the audacity to consider himself a member of "The Press." If he were truly a member of the journalism community, he would need to interview people; however, it doesn't mater if Obama is there or not in O'Reilly's mad little world. He is simply going to say what he's going to say regardless. Facts and reality be damned.
So, again, why should Obama waste his time with this infant? It's not like he will be able to say anything, and it's not like he will actually be able to get O'Reilly to listen.

2. Folks, there is something deeply disturbing in Mitt Romney's approach to this presidential campaign. When asked by ABC News yesterday about the polls in New Hampshire, Romney's campaign managers responded, "Mitt Romney is the only candidate with enough money to compete in all 50 states."
Such a statement from a presidential candidate should frighten the hell out of EVERY American.
Why?
Because it reveals just how candidate Romney thinks he should walk right in and BUY his executive chair in the Oval Office. Romney obviously places far more importance on his ability to finance an election campaign than he places on his ability to govern, his leadership qualities, his decision making skills, and his qualifications for the job as POTUS.
Romney's attitude is EXACTLY what Americans have seen for far too long and DO NOT need at this point in our history!

3. Bill O'Reilly defending the US Constitution? What a joke. O'Reilly hides behind the Constitution at his convenience and then wipes his arse with it whenever he pleases.
O'Reilly is definitely a whiny, old bully whose pea brain cannot think past the level of, "Conform with my demands or I'll beat the shizznit out of you, you son of a bitch!"
Gee...what other groups share that mindset? Can you say Al Qaeda?

4. People need to understand that Fox News, in the persuit of accessability and influence, has compromised itself badly. This is because it's owner, Rupert Murdock, uses Fox as a means of getting special treatment. Unfortunately as the republicans mill and try to find a direction, Fox news is unable to take all sides at the same time. They alienated Ron Paul because Ron Paul's politics run askew the goals of the establishment. I think he'd be great if we weren't interested in being an international influence and military super power, but currently we are. Anyway, Fox is now finding itself in hot water. Ron Paul supporters and other republicans are discovering what non-Fox viewers have known for years... the systematic smearing and lies that have made Fox powerful.

It doesn't exactly frighten me, Paul. This is the way candidates and campaigns have been going for quite some time. It's frustrating, and Romney's campaign manager's crack really points out one of the glaring failures of America's election process. Greed.
And, sadly, where there's greed, there's always corruption.
However, hidden behind his wealth, Mitt Romney is a very dim-witted man with no decent ideas whatsoever. However, because he has money, Americans will listen because they are simply too rock stupid to see beyond the superficial. And, so long as he follows the Rove/Bush playbook and speaks in little vapid sound bites, I'm sure he could round up enough slack-jawed rubes to support him.
The scarier thing for me, Paul, is that Romney is tucked quite neatly into the pockets of the pharmaceutical industry, and the last thing this country needs is yet another president paid-off to be an apologist for these corrupt and greedy bastards.

6. "However, hidden behind his wealth, Mitt Romney is a very dim-witted man with no decent ideas whatsoever." --Dan
I think you restated my point exactly.
That political campaigns run on personal wealth and campaign donations is certainly nothing new. I just find it frightening that "Flipper's" campaign managers think Americans are too dumb to notice the arrogance of saying, "Mitt Romney has the wealth to compete in all 50 states."
I don't know...maybe Americans ARE too dumb to recognize whenever someone plans on simply BUYING the White House...with...as you've pointed out, Dan...with financial help from pharmaceutical companies.

8. There is, as always, a catch.
To be elected you need exposure. That means either the media has to select you as one of their darlings or else you have to pay for advertising. So long as politicians need massive amounts of cash to keep their jobs they will always be open to corruption.
There are solutions but all of them require a pretty substantial amount of government interference with media.

It is telling that O'Rielly BOASTS he would have punched that guy out IF HE HADN'T BEEN BIGGER THAN O'LIELY! Typical school-yard bully!
I'm sorry that Secret Service Agent was so good at his job. Given a moment, we might have had a chance to see O'Rielly get his ass kicked.

10. Sen. Obama said he will talk to Bill after the primary, which one.....? Bill O'Reilly acted like a child and had to turn to volence to get his point across. When he ask the two ladys last night about the fight one said "We could have done without the fighting" after that she was quite I bet she was told to watch her pretty little mouth later.
