In this video we explain the background to the Chris Matthews apology to Hillary Clinton, show the actual apology and then explain why it has much larger ramifications:
Maybe we helped to push him toward this apology with our commentary on AOL Newsbloggers as well (you can see and read our analysis of all of his negative comments toward Hillary Clinton here). I doubt it, but hey, we tried. And he wound up doing the right thing.

A mark VII production....
Are we gonna go into the homer simpbaugh/billislamoreilly/foxfart conspiracy theories now? I know simpbaugh was high at the time, but what excuses loogah looie and the merde-dock have that don't start and end with $?
By the way, Susan McDougal blames Kenneth Starr for the death of her husband.
You ought to read a little before you take an oral bowel movement.
So do I based on what she said happened.
I would love to see Starr and his operatives put on trial for the coup they tried to perpetrate.
Any of you foxfart sniffers want to explain why starr had whitewater authority to investigate white house blow jobs? Cite the constitutional authority by case law including the proper cites and reporters if you have a case.
Otherwise you're just a foxfart sniffer.

Yo, Cliffie it stands for Mike 2 Delta 5
It's not some robot's name either but stands for something else. If curious, just search the web as it should be public knowledge.
As far as news stations watched, Fox News isn't one of them.I limit myself to NECN, a slightly left leaning network, WGBX, CNN, C-SPAN,C-SPAN2,WEATHER CHANNEL, A&E, HISTORY CHANNEL , ETC.
Also, it's not a bunch of Mel Gibson styled "Conspiracy" theories. All it takes is to get your information from many sources and you can piece things together. Without any prodding from one side or another. One just has to sit back and observe things and notice some of the funny coincidences. Unfortunately you seemed to have forgotten that, but I would have to chalk that up to your age ( As claimed by you on previous posts)
The information is out there you just have to use a french term: "Faites Atencion" instead of being spoon fed from your favorite food/knowledge source.

See, what I mean Cliffie, you are falling back into the old line. Nobody said anything about Ken Starr or such. It's just your attempt at "Do not look at the man behind the curtain, only pay attention to what is going on the stage"

I have the benefit of having made the mistakes you're still making and learning from them, but I must caution you that such a thing may not bear a linear relationship to chronological age. It is something you'll be able to reflect on one day too, provided you're clever enough to survive this long. I wouldn't take it as a given.
I found no delta-5 references save what I knew already - a reactive site on some enzymes. There was nothing at all consistent for 'mike 2' and the two together produced no results. If you actually meant something, you'll have to be more specific.
As to my input for information, what would you know of it? What for that matter would you know of conspiracy?
As to funny coincidences, there are some that I am acutely aware of, have known of and vetted for more than 22 years and will not discuss here.
As to others, your knowledge of statistical probabilities might be called into question but since you're not actually stating things, that srikes me as some kind of posturing. As one ages, one needs to lie less about things like that.
If you have an axe to grind and think this is the place to do it, grind away. So far,
I've seen nothing of substance to your posts, just baseless foofery and a need to be thought of as a pitcher. Won't happen. Pitchers need balls.

well, mightydumb, if you're just pissin' yer pants to lay out your conspiracy theory, why hold back?
Why is it my fault? You wanta play dozens with me like you keep doing, and hiding behind the chickens for colonel sanders at the same time, I'll block and counterpunch if I can, and I usually can.
Are you afraid you might die before you get to be my age? Could happen - john stewart tipped over today and he wasn't much older.
Fair warning, take care of yourself or you may not live to regret it. Maybe that's what you want, considering your uneasiness around us living dead who won't lie down...it's the hoodoo I tells ya!
You're bustin' a gut to blow your conspiracy, so you might as well get to it. You think that's unique? I've seen a lot more than you could guess but I know better than to go into it here.

Bravo, Cliff one of my favorite comedians.
As a matter of fact I was watching him yesterday on cable, Blue Collar Tour, prior to watching my PATS go 18-0.
By the bye, you and I are not that far apart age wise.

well, some have a way with straight lines. It helps to be margaret dumont-ish. As to Him, did you mean God? I was talking about that Sign, me being the horse for Legba in the instant case and all.
I stopped watching the rednecks when they ran out of material.
Larry is now literally recycling 50's grade school humor - the remark about 'hair nets' is regarding short shorts and is from maybe 1955.
'If you come from a rural area and act like it, you may be a redneck' is also about had its run like the little soul singing raisins and with ron white's getting drunk and talking about what an asshole he is when he's drunk and bill engvall saying 'what jeff said', it's pretty dull. white's still got a pulse but it's fading. I'd rather listen to his bulldog talk about tater while suckin' down m&m's.

Most of what I post comes from network newscasts and I would submit that there is no one on the web like myself. I'd say that for the rest of them too. That sounds like a carryover of the notion that people disinterested in religious dogma are organized and hostile.
you have me mixed up with someone else. Maybe that postal carrier on cheers. He has more f's than I got, and as I said I was out of town during that incident in your apartment with the gunny sack fulla wild squirrels in the eighties.
I'd make up more excuses but I didn't watch cheers that much. I worked nights.
So far, you and maybe Botts have discussed conspiracies. I've debunked a couple of classic ones but that's about it.
If you want to put yours out, you don't need to hack at the ghost behind my post before you do it.
You haven't lived one microsecond of my life, so your assessment of it is going to be limited to whatever you project. since projection's a defense mechanism, don't expect much from it in the way of enlightenment.

55. I'm watching the debates right now (but I have to stop so I can get to work) and want to say how INCREDIBLY well John Edwards is doing. He is not only clear and passionate, he is VERY specific about his vision and about EXACTLY how to formulate and pay for his trade, economic- stimulus, and poverty programs.
He wants federal predatory lender laws; he's clear about how unscrupulous lending practices impact all of America's poorest and most disadvantaged, and how that includes disproportionately black citizens.
He's totally got it going on, and, of course, for the most part he hasn't had to engage in the sparring that both Obama and Clinton have engaged in (which just snowballs, because every attack has to be met with a defense and a counter-attack, etc.), whihc makes him better able to stay focused.
Anyway, I hope he does well. He really would make a great president, and he seems to totally GET IT.
One of his best, of many great points, was: "We've got to remember; this is not about US, (the candidates) it's about the American people."
If the three of them could REALLY work together, it could be fantastic. They're finally talking about how globalization and NAFTA have not helped the U.S., and how, if we're going to be engaged with the world, we have to have trade policies that work for us and our economy and labor and environmental safety standards at least as well as the policies of the other countries we're dealing with work for them. And we really should be SETTING standards.
(And I think Edwards is right in being against the current Peru trade agreement. Obama's response was a good zinger-- that he expects to be the one enforcing the standards-- but we must proceed VERY cautiously from his point, and right Bush's wrongs before we give any chance of worsening or creating new problems).
Hopefully the press will keep on these specifics and not keep re-running the cat/dog fights of the campaign. They don't really matter. You can tell that even the candidates know it.
Good Luck to us All!

That is true.
You have on a number of occasion expounded on various perceived conspiracies. Did these come from watch just watching the nightly network new broadcast?
Could you be reading books and going to web sites that cater to the "conspiracy" mentality ?

I would hesitate to call anything I have posted about a conspiracy 'theory' since there's substantial evidence of what I post.
However in response to your question, yes, it was all on major news networks.
Also regarding whatever conspiracy YOU hint at, and this intimation that I belong to some organization that's out to get you and denise, I don't know what it's about, but here is what you've intimated:
17. 16. You guys did a great job on Chris M.
and so did Media Matters!
Ah, do I smell a conspiracy ? Naw just two civic minded, unbiased groups, helping to enlighten us.
M2D5 at 1:05PM on Jan 18th 2008
Are you kidding me.
That was the plan all along to run for a seat somewhere , anywhere, as soon it opened up. Daniel Patrick Moynihan's announced retirement provided the vehicle for this. There are those who are naive enough that organizations helped founded by these two, like Emily's List, Media Matters had some "noble" goals. They were carfefully and cynically started with one goal in mind. This "planning" goes all the way back to those "FBI files" on the opposition, going up to and including those documents that were "removed" from the National Archives.
It is funny, how anyone who "speaks" an opposing view is touted as a "hater", "sexist pig", "fascist", etc. However those individuals whose careers and/or financial wealth has benefited due to their association with Arkansas' answer to Ozzie and harriet and their repeated defence in various forums are never called to task for the "slant" in reporting, writing, blogging.
Just ask yourself the next time you listen to one of these individuals defend or praise this pair, "What is in it for that individual?"
M2D5 at 11:07AM on Jan 21st 2008
Sometimes counter-attacks are quite organized using numerous well spoken individuals while other times ones who come off as "common folk" are used.

So you say. I have mentioned theft of the elections. I saw that unfold myself both times and there has been plenty on nightly news network broadcasts. Caging, voter suppression, the florida ‘buchanan’ vote, the ohio exit polls, plamegate, gonzogate, blackwatergate, signing statements, unopposed rise of dominionism cults in the armed forces and many many things I can carry forward but this is already long.
Yes, margaret, these foolish things remind me of you and I have seen every last stinkin’ one on a nightly news broadcast over and over and over and over again, both from the major nets and the cable nets.
I watch foxfart for comedy relief only since I don’t give a shit about natalee holloway, they don’t have an iraq press bureau and they repeatedly identified foley and vitters as democrats and after they were caught still wouldn’t acknowledge craig was a republican.

I'd like to think he actually paid attention to us all, did a little soul searching, and realized he was losing credibility if nothing else. I'd like to think the apology was heart-felt, but only he knows that.
