If you have never watched the Conan/Walker Texas Ranger clips, I highly recommend them. Below is about seven minutes worth, really gives you an idea for just how silly Chuck Norris is.
Next video in this online journey is Mike Huckabee's recent interview with Stephen Colbert. I believe this clip will also include Colbert's remarks towards Conan. I am not sure simply because I actually can't watch the clip, when I click play it tells me "Fuck you Canada." Well, Not literally, but thats what it feels like, Comedy Central/Viacom has some sort of software installed in their embeds that can determine the nationality of web surfers, hence blocking us from watching clips online. So please let me know if this is the right clip. Cheers

1. Sheesh...
Even when Huck-a-puck jokes around he frightens the crap out of me.

2. I'm glad everybody thinks Huckabee is so funny. The guy who really does seem to be an absolute disaster waiting to happen is John Edwards, who lives in a 10,000 square foot mansion that uses more electricity than Al Gore, which he paid for by that glorious profession of ambulance chasing, while saying utterly ridiculous things in a very convincing down-home manner in court, such as claiming to "channel" thoughts of dead children.
The man rails against "Two Americas" while enjoying the best this country has to offer. He's an empty suit w/a big mouth and little substance, a vacuous southern snake oil salesman/lawyer who would destroy this country and our economy if he ever got elected President. (Other than that, I think he's great.)
Mike Huckabee may not be a viable candidate for President, but he's a good and decent man who's twice the intellect and three times the human being John Edwards is. And don't even get me started on Hill and Barry.

3. we know your politics dave.
so..
now having money is somehow a BAD thing to you dave?
or is it only bad when a populist like edwards points out the fiscal disparity in our country..
1% controls over 80% of america's total wealth, while over 90% of the population control just 12%.i would call that a disparity, wouldnt you?
or maybe it's his message that bothers you,and you find it hypocritical that he has money?
should he live in a tent?
would that make you happy?
or maybe its that you listen to the right wing partisan hacks who use circular logic to make their point,to create a non-existent scandal, and you have bought it..
hook ..line..and sinker.
do you realize the very same argument you just used to disparage edwards can be used against huckabee?
huckabee is also a populist, just on the republican side, and he also points out to the disparity of wealth in this nation.
i like huckabee too, seems a nice chap, except for his theocratic leanings.thats just frightening, and ignores a major precept of the constitution.
also like edwards, the media did not tag him as a contender for the republican's.that is supposed to be romney/guilliani,but just like edwards,he is hanging in there.i like that..keeps it interesting.
be careful who you listen to dave.
i have seen many of your posts regurgitating right wing talking points, almost verbatim.
these are politicians, they have something to sell.
they only come out to sell it when they need your vote to propagate their agenda.
which rarely,if ever, has anything to do benefiting you or i.
be they democrat or republican,it doesnt matter, they dont work for any of us anymore.but they do need your vote to continue raping us all.
now now...dont get uptight thinking im denigrating you.
im not.
just look at what has transpired over the past 30 yrs,and name ONE republican or democrat president that has actually upheld the ideologies of that party?
just one.
ill give ya a hint.
none...not one.
so lets all stop doing their dirty work for them by promoting their propaganda, and lets look a bit closer into what they are all actually doing.
to be an informed and active citizen is not only important, but a duty.
espousing political rhetoric only perpetuates the status quo,it changes nothing.
and this country needs change.
it's time our representatives start representing US..the 90%..and not the 1%.
think about it dave.
i say that with all respect and sincerity.
till next time..peace.

4. It's nice to know that people like Dave are worried about Edwards. It is quite clear that the right-wing media and their corporate puppet masters are scared shit-less about Edwards.
Dave, I'd like some sort of citation for your, "channeling dead children" nonsense.
Would it make you feel better if Edwards was a corporate lawyer? Or perhaps you would feel better about Edwards if his only career had been that of a politician.
Interesting that you begrudge a man's success, if he didn't make it defending corporate polluters, or the pharmaceutical industry or by taking pay-offs.
Lawyers are just easy targets for the simple-minded.
This is why even Dave should want to vote for Edwards:
"I absolutely believe to my soul that this corporate greed and corporate power has an ironclad hold on our democracy." -- John Edwards
Captain Negative at 4:32PM on Jan 20th 2008
5. Enoch, you have to check your facts. The top 1% control 34.5% of the wealth, not 80%. I stopped reading your post because I don't care about what someone has to say when they pull numbers out of their asses.
To Dave, I am impartial to Edwards one way or another but your post suggests you have to be educated on him. He is offering a tax plan which is beneficial to the lower/middle class, repealing the Bush tax cuts requiring the wealthy to pay more in taxes, offering health insurance to families too poor to be able to afford it and is trying to make college more of an option for underprivledged youths. He's not saying there is anything wrong with being rich, and yes he is rich himself, but he still believes the rich should help the poor and under his own tax plans he is losing more money then he is gaining so proposing he is a snake just displays your own ignorance.
Now about Huckabee... where to begin. He believes the Earth is 6000 years old though, as of late, he has been careful with his soundbites on the debates, he supports the Iraq war and has from the start, opposses abortion and supports a bizzare tax plan known as the "fair tax". Essentially, the fair tax just does away with the income tax and taxes you based on consumption (which means sales taxes would skyrocket) but this would be way to burdensome on poor families when compared to wealthier families since poor families could consume up to 100% of their income while wealthier families might consume only about 50-75% or even less depending how wealthy they are. I don't think Huckabee is a bad guy, but politically, he isn't the best choice.

6. Captain Negative - The best reference I have been able to find so far is on Snopes
http://www.snopes.com/politics/kerry/neighbor.asp
in which the e-mail from a neighbor, including the dead children stuff, is taken apart and shown to not represent his other neighbors views. The part about channeling is not reviewed; however, I as most of the claims are debunked, I hold little faith in the rest.
I found another reference at
http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/s_202515.html
but noticed the piece was written by Ann Coulter. Strike 2.
Found another at
http://conservativedialysis.com/~mnick/wp/index.php/2007/05/23/john-edwards-posterboy-for-the-tin-foil-hat-brigade/
Don't need to say anything to declare strike 3.

7. thanks sean.
you are correct, thank you for pointing that out.
seems the top 1% own 40% of the property, and 36.9% of total wealth.
percentages vary on what the criteria is.
by taxes:
http://www.taxfoundation.org/news/show/250.html
it still does not detract from my main point, but you would not know that due to your fixation with numbers.
but i do appreciate your calling me on my misleading numbers.
not sure why i had them stuck in my head, probably something i have read in the past and got the numbers wrong.
so thanks sean.
of course the fact still remains that there is a disparity in wealth distribution in this country.
http://academic.udayton.edu/race/06hrights/GeoRegions/NorthAmerica/china03.htm
and i stand behind my central argument, the number's were not a vital part of what i was trying to convey.
glad i have the right numbers now though.
till next time..peace.

My money is on Huckabee!

9. Enoch - Yes, I am a conservative. But I can think for myself, thank you. Even though you deny it, you have a tendency to pigeonhole folks who don't see things the way you do. And if I was some sort of doctrinaire robot like you imply, I wouldn't spend time debating folks in painstaking manner. I love debating folks who disagree with me. You simply dismiss others with whom you disagree as misinformed.
And you don't find anything strange about a guy constantly dissing America and enjoying all this country has to offer to the extent that John Edwards does? I'm sorry, but that is called hypocrisy with a capital "H".
No, I don't want him to live in a tent. Good grief. But let's stop the demagoguery. Mike Huckabee isn't engaged in that kind of cynical two-faced nonsense. And your implication that Huckabee wants to somehow enact a theocracy is more hysteria than fact. Regarding the IRS, is anybody here suggesting that what we have now is a great system? I didn't think so.
Captain - The "channeling" claim about Edwards has been made publicly and repeatedly by conservatives. Edwards, who is quite conscious of his public image, has never refuted it or claimed it was false. And if someone said that about you and you were a trial lawyer and you knew it was false, wouldn't you sue the "you know what" out of them? I rest my case.
Incidentally, I'm reluctant to dig up sources for somebody who doesn't even believe the Heritage Foundation is credible. Earth to liberals and progressives: The days of left-wing media monopoly are over. And that doesn't mean people like me aren't reading Time and Newsweek and watching ABC and CNN, but we cross-check these people for accuracy, (what a concept) instead of buying it "hook, line and sinker".
Remember Dan Rather, Eason Jordan, Jason Blair and their demonstrable lies and manipulation of news stories? Without the new media, those people never would have been caught and exposed.
Dave at 7:07AM on Jan 22nd 2008
10. thanks for the response dave.
i dont believe huckebee is going to attempt to create a theocracy in the US,but he has made some statements of a theocratic nature.that's why i used the word "leanings".
america was worried about JFK and his catholicism, but it didnt make a difference.
JFK came from an extremely wealthy family, but he too had a populist message.
and that was really my central point.
huckabee and edwards are populists, both are pointing out the disparity of wealth in this country.
i only dismiss those who are the ones posting misinformation.
if i am shown that i have something wrong factually.then i am wrong.
i dont go into an ad hominem tirade simply because i was called on it.
some on these threads refuse to accept that they may be wrong.and when presented with opposing facts that refute their premise, they turn into little ad hominem machines, attacking the politics of the person who threatened their paradigm.
so yeah..i attempt to clarify once with those people, and then i ignore them if they dont come to the table with something of value.
you have only disparaged me once dave,
and that was to protect another.
admirable, but assumed i was attacking that other person.
i was not.
on this very thread sean called me out on my false numbers.
and they were false.
did i post them on purpose to manipulate people?
good lord no..but i was still wrong.
it didnt affect my central argument, but im glad sean did that.
i would rather be wrong and called on it,than to continue to be in ignorance.
maybe this all comes down to the polemic.
i know you believe i am a liberal, and in some cases i am.
but my politics tend to be conservative.
does that mean we are automatically in opposition?
that what i write,or what you write negate each other simply by perceived politics?
or because my politics are conservative that i automatically have to support bush?or vote for a republican?
i dont disagree with people because of their politics.
i disagree because maybe i have learned something,or know something they may not.
and vice versa.
the more information we have, the better equipped we are to make a well-informed and balanced decision.
i wont dismiss anything you post if it is factual, but if incomplete, you will find me there to fill in the gaps.
and if im wrong, then show me.
i WILL change my paradigm.
it has never been a rightie/leftie or dem/repub thing for me.
it's always been about getting the big picture into focus.
here is a lil vid that i have on my page,
gives a small breakdown on how a country can fall into despotism.
till next time..peace.

12. The Shift in Momentum IS FOR PRESIDENT HUCKABEE in 2008
Mike Huckabee is presidential material and is alone able to defeat Hillary & Obama. I am now convinced that those wealthier donors to Romney's, Giuliani’s, and Thompson's campaign have wasted their money and if they continue, are wasting their hard earned money on candidates who do not have voter appeal or substance. As a member of the younger generation, I will tell you point blank, Romney, Giuliani, and Thompson DO NOT connect with us.
Romney has run out of gas. He has been the worst investment money could buy. His persecution complex makes him so defensive, weepy and wimpy that he easily cracks under pressure. His fake, calculated tears make him look like a too weak to lead America during these tough economic times. Romney's negative campaigning reveals his unprofessional, underhanded desperation that he'll do anything to get elected. Romney has shown the world that he is an unkind, angry old man. Romney's and Giuliani's flip flop past makes both of them a liability and not an asset for Republicans in 2008. Mike Huckabee has a proven track record has a wise decision maker and has a well thought out plan for securing our nation economically and physically.

Every time Huckabee is heard his approval amongst ALL AMERICANS increases even without the major financial support. Just imagine what would happen if he got the major financial support. Huckabee's proven leadership can help bring America together as a team.
Huckabee is the BEST candidate for the dangerous times that we live in. What also makes Mike Huckabee the most logical candidate is that he is not only attracts Republicans but also Democrats to his side without compromising his principles. Both side support is needed to win this election in 2008 and he has it.
Listed are just some of the reasons why I and most others switched our vote to Huckabee:
1. Huckabee can think fast on his feet.
2. He is personable and has a great sense of humor.
3. He is real and does NOT put up a front.
4. Huckabee considers the poor and less fortunate.
5. Huckabee is extremely knowledgeable about various issues and communicates with confidence.
6. He is Pro-life and Pro-family.
7. He is witty and competitive.
8. As governor, Huckabee is the longest proven executive leader among all the nominees.
9. He demonstrates wisdom, humility, and self-control.
10. Huckabee is completely understandable and communicates with great depth.
11. Huckabee has a consistent conservative track record.
12. He is noble, honest, compassionate, bold, also attentive to all the questions he was ever asked about WITHOUT being all over the board and WITHOUT sounding scattered.
13. Huckabee is clearly the toughest on border and national security.
14. Huckabee speaks without annoying hesitations and does not utilize vacuous speech.
15. He has earned the respect of Afro-Americans and Hispanics since he was THE ONLY top ranked one who valued and respected them by attending the latest ethnic sponsored republican forum.
16. He is direct and uncompromising about the FAIR TAX system.
17. Huckabee is very focused and he is all about accomplishing measurable goals.
18. Huckabee has the most practical experience, for over ten years, defeating the Clinton "socialist" political machine in Arkansas and alone has the know-how to defeat them nationally.
19. Huckabee, as governor of Arkansas, did more to practically help the people of New Oreans, LA after Katrina than the governor of Louisiana because Huckabee's state government was so organized
20. Mike Huckabee sticks to his principles without being pressured to change them at the whim of polls and media pundits. He also answers questions very candidly WITHOUT being nervous and WITHOUT dishonestly covering himself up before the public.
21. Huckabee is also NOT a part of the establishment in a period when there is an anti-establishment sentiment in America.
22. Mike Huckabee is the ONLY candidate who has a PRO-American trade Strategy that holds China accountable for their unethical trade and banking practices, as well as their human rights violations.
23. Mike Huckabee's foreign policy methods DO NOT exclude, alienate and take advantage of America's neighboring countries or potential allies. Such behavior has caused some nations to despise democracy and the values necessary to maintain it.
24. Huckabee believes that part of winning the war on terror is achieving energy independence.
25. Mike Huckabee is the ONLY candidate who can beat Hillary Clinton and Obama. The people who are passionate about Huckabee are NOT going to suddenly change their vote within the given time period of the primaries. The rest of the nominees command no such passion. Face it. It is all over.

I am so tired of these these wealthy candidates and people with power already trying to cherry pick the next president. I thank you for that link exposing the masons that I saw posted somewhere before. I just want a president that can articulate well and doesn't sound like a bunch of hot air. I just can't imagine trusting our national security to Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama. I think the book Animal Farm by H. G. Wells says it all. They both are BIG BROTHER GOVERNMENT WATCHING US . Even the Hate Crimes legislation was designed to allow the government to be the "Thought Police" of today. Besides a presidential nominee who has more experience as a law maker than an executive would behave more like a dictator, not a president.
