The show is really great. Oddly Chuck left at intermission. I think he wanted to see the act one closer, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, and that was really it. Unfortunately he missed Gavin Lee (Bert) giving a spectacular performance during the number Step in Time, in which Gavin tap dances upside-down!
Anyway I missed tonight's CNN Republican debate. But I did find this promo for Thursday night's Democratic debate, being held at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, site of the American Idol finals. Looks exciting...
I have to go to bed now. Early tomorrow I'm heading down to Brooklyn for an IHOP ribbon cutting ceremony in Fort Green. I'm pretty excited. But before I retire for the evening ...
I haven't yet weighed in on Ted Kennedy's endorsement of Barack Obama. While I find Caroline Kennedy's endorsement undeniably moving, I think it's important to put Teddy's backing in perspective. He is the Lion of the Senate, yes. But he is, after all, the brother of the dynasty's standard-bearer, JFK. If Hillary wants to minimize the impact of Teddy, she need only remind voters that Teddy is technically the Roger Clinton of the Kennedys.
As it happens, my childhood friend Mario (the teacher's pet with the perfect handwriting) partied with Roger Clinton a few years back:
