The short answer -- because no one likes him:
Seriously, it's such a relief to have Giuliani out of the race. I don't try to predict who would be easier to beat in the general election. I think there's folly in that exercise. I would rather have the Republicans pick the best possible candidate, on the off chance that they accidentally win. So, I'm very thankful Giuliani is out of the race now. He was by far the biggest threat to civil liberties and the most likely to start the next war. Good riddance.

1. Rudy was applying for the wrong position in that dress. He's clearly no Ronald Reagan. He looked more like J. Edgar Hoover. That little editorial crack by Sen. Joe "Dunkin Donuts" Biden didn't help either. A noun, a verb, and 9-11 won't win.

2. Rudy apparently is a POKER PLAYER that does not have a problems with high stakes in the game. Sometimes you win and sometimes you loose!
We did not need another Clinton in the office. The probes on Clinton cost the American Tax Payers close to 50 Million dollars in 4 years that could have went to
Education
Social Security increase for the Elderly
Healthcare
Shelter and Food for the homeless.
Hillary is going to be hit with her famous words for more than 50 times "I CAN"T RECALL" if elected!
The Republicans are voting for McCain only as a tacticle move because they think he could win over OBAMA and I think it will backfire because people are voting for change and with McCain we get the same old Republican gridlock!=

3. Giuliani lost because he ran a terrible campaign. All he spoke about was 9/11 and advocating starting WWIII. He did not count on the economy trumping terrorism as the issue foremost in voters minds.
Besides, there was no way the GOP was going to support Giuiani - a pro-choice candidate with two divorces.

4. I feel McCain would be a big mistake for our country. He misleds people from the truth, plus he is old Washington.. We need someone who can make us proud of America again.. We need Obama!!!!!!

5. He lost because no one wants his slut of a wife as First Lady..she was happy to have an 'affair' with married mand!! NOT ladylike behaviour..she brought him down as did that stupid Jerri of fred Thompson!!

7. I think Rudy lost because he was too liberal. And he had an ego problem. He valued himself over other people and over the voters.. Politicians are supposed to be our servants...and do the will of the people!
I'm supporting John McCain because he is willing to listen to the people and he is a true American hero!!

8. Rudy was the Neo Con candidate with support of the White House and the RNC. And he benefited from their vast PR machine and echo chamber. When the scandal of his misuse of public funds for transportation for his mistress came out, he was history. But as that the real reason? Or was it an excuse. Did he somehow tick off his Neo Con bosses? Did he indicate that he would not follow their directions, especially as he is known for extreme arrogance.
Now McCain is Neo Con's new love. Were the victories in NH and S. Carolina real or Diebold victories? Europeans have commmented on the, let's say oddness of the NH vote, and the GOP in S. Carolina at the state level is one of the more rabid anti illegal immigration groups in the country. And they supported McCain, who effectively is Mr. Open Borders and Discrimintory Amnesty for Hispanics by giving them preferences over the families and races of all other Americans. Of course McCain is part of what David Brooks of the NYT calls the "elite", his words, a bipartisan group who agreed on free trade and Nafta and is thrilled with the huge profits. Brooks indicated they were much less thrilled with Dobbs for screwing it all up.
So McCain will follow orders and march to the Neo Con drummer and keep their policies in place.
The problem is independants are against the war and McCain has said we will be there another 100 years (seriously). He has not a chance.

9. I feel real bad I voted for him because I thought that he was great during SEPT i HAVE GRANDSONS THAT ARE FIREMEN, and I thought he was good to them and their families, I figured he would know what to do during bad times and good times. I am very pissed off that he turned our votes over to McCain I didn't vote for him and I didn't appreciate that, I would rather he gave them to Romney if anyone. I guess this rep will vote different in the fall

10. Riina, Since you have decided that the present Mrs Giuliani is a slut, what is your opinion of Bill Clinton and his multiple "sex-capades" and what of his "wife" who did nothing about it?

11. Well, anybody who did not see this coming was not paying attention in 2004. Howard Dean ring a bell? Dean had an even bigger lead three months before the first primary in that Election. Rudy was a Media Creation. He was not Americas Mayor. The Media called him that. Americans did not. It is really time to put the Media on ignore until the voters decide. Rudy lost because people did not like him for sure. He also lost because most people don't see Mayor of New York as a logical stepping stone to President of the United States. Thank God. Rudy also ran what has got be the worst campaign in the history of campaigns. The funniest moment of Rudys campaign for me was after he decided to make Florida his do or die final stand. A few weeks ago when he arrived in Florida he had let the Media know he was making his first Florida stump speech. CNN covered it live. Enter Rudy. His shinning moment. His time at bat in the bottom of the 9th. He starts trying to explain his campaign. He says he has broken it down to a dozen points. He has put these dozen points on this card. He makes a huge show of pulling the card out of his pocket. My first thought is great he can't even remember twelve simple points. He needs a friggin card. It got worse. He could not read the card. He did not have his reading glasses. He cursed the printer for making the print so small and forgetting his reading glasses but said that was okay he remembered them all and would recite them. But he never did. He just talked about blah blah blah tax cuts.. Blah blah blah Ronald Reagan. Bladdy blah blah blah War on Terror... Blah blah 9-11.. I laughed so hard I fell off the chair.. Amazingly CNN never called him on it. I came away surprised he lasted as long as he did. NEXTTTTTTT.....

12. It's very simple if your own grown children won't vote for you why should I? Rudy G is a slime ball. Marriages end but to end them the way he did shows no dignity for or loyality to the families he created. Rudy's behavior tells you if that is the way he treats his family with blatant disrespect that is the way he will treat yours.

You should take that up with the republican witch-hunters who wasted all of that time and money. Somehow I doubt that you would have wanted that money spent on healthcare, shelter and food for the homeless.
The right-wing attacked Clinton NO MATTER WHAT HE DID.
If he attacked terrorist sites they accused him of "wagging the dog" at the same time they were accusing him of being, "soft of terrorism."
The republicans engaged in an orchestrated program of political sabotage throughout the Clinton administration. They will do it all over again if the Democrats win. In short, the republican party is only interested in power, not progress.

14. Hey Big Guy,
Well, you're pretty close about one thing...not enough people, as in not enough Republican Party faithful, liked him.
Americans want change, or so we say. But if Hillary and McCain are the nominees, all we're going to get is either a Democrat or GOP retread....same old face just sitting in a different seat.

15. Giuliani lost for several reasons. Some of which are: he's a rat, weasel, snake, liar, scum bag, cheater (on former wives) Bush lover and super ugly
with that shit eating goat grin. NOBODY wanted that pile of shit to be our next pres.
