1. I am not a big John Stewart fan, but THAT was a good clip!
Attack on religion, Mitt??? Talk to your own party about that one, pal. The fundamentalist wackos in the GOP were the ones spewing hate on your Mormon faith.
Your party rejected you, Mitt. Get over it. This man was so desperate to be accepted into the religious right of the GOP, he pandered and flip flopped every position he held as a moderate candidate and Governor of Massachusetts. You sold your soul for nothing, Mitt.

2. Funny stuff. Mitt loves Anerica so much, he will not subject us to his presidency.
A MORMON wanting a constititional ammendment on marriage? perhaps polygamy? Child molesting(yes I said child molesting,)?
I'm sure gald he's out. Now we really have to worry about Huckabee( not really, he's got little chance). Huckabee is a real humdinger, wanting to include jesus in the constitution, quaurintine HIV patients, end gay relationships( it's a sin against god). WAKE-UP America, it's time to see theese assholes for what they are: freedom haters.

3. Some research on Romney:
He joined his father during the sixties civil rights marches; he was born a Mormon; he was a missionary in France for 30 months which got him out of the draft; he graduated from Harvard Law school and after graduation served as a CEO for various companies; he made a lot of money during that time so that he has a net worth of 190-250 million now; he was elected governor of Massachusetts for one term but spent 219 of 365 days in 2006 out of the state; during that time he passed legislation that forced Mass schools increase their tuition by 63%; and some have suggested by this behavior that he has had only one thing on his mind for a long time: becoming CEO of the United States. I swear, to hear him talk about his personal beliefs...he sounds like those dolts at Regent University. :>)

4. Get used to that . . . it is a staple of conservative philosophy that liberalism is permissive of, or at least weak on terror. (I happen to feel that way.) Mitt was saying what he believes.

5. Hey Dave S. - Try reading the post right below yours if you think all the mindless bigotry directed at Romney was coming from the right. And the Democrats fit-to-be-tied reaction to Romney's comment about their waving the White Flag to terror shows just how much that comment hit home.
In fact John Edwards said, and not all that long ago, that there really was no "war on terror". Tell that to our troops who are fighting that war every single day.

6. Hey Dave #5 - if you have a bone to pick with Mac #2, take it up with him. I am not responsible for his comments, only my own.
Have a nice day.

7. I think that the Democrats plan is leaving Iraq immediately even if that means its collapse and terrorist groups gaining power and slaughtering its citizens. That IS the plan. Now one might quibble whether or not that's a "surrender", but it's not "politics of fear". That's a real issue that has to be dealt with by the candidates. Screaming, "fear mongers" is a weak response at best, Jeff. To Romney it's a surrender. To some it's not. It's still a valid point.

8. Dave S - Of course I wasn't blaming you for somebody else's comments, just citing them to refute your point, but I think you know that.

9. Dave, did I write something that is not true?

10. I like "A Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and I record it everyday. But after watching it for so long, I've noticed a few things about the show. Namely, Stewart sometimes twists things around.
For example, you'll remember Stewart's shtick on Dick Cheney this past year where Stewart ridiculed Cheney's man-sized safe, among other things? Well, part of Stewart's routine was a little duplicitous. You see, he claimed that Cheney had created his own "SCI" classification for documents that he didn't want others to see. Trouble is, SCI is an actual classification that's been in use for quite some time. Cheney never made it up. The only thing "made up" was Stewart's allegation that Cheney made it up.
SCI, by the way, stands for Sensitive Compartmented Information. (Do a Google search and you'll receive plenty of explanations behind the SCI classification.)
In my book, Stewart lost an irreplaceable amount of credibility when he went with (and continued) the story of Cheney creating that SCI classification for his personal use. The whole thing was a blatant lie on Stewart's part.
Sorry if that bothers you, but it's just the way it is. You must be careful with regards to the authenticity of Stewart's claims.

12. i love john stewart.
and im glad romney is out.
the man was all about "expanding america's freedom's".
which is just another way of stating his backing of the neo-con agenda of american empirialism.
i have been getting a huge amount of flack on my blog, and even some here,on my stance on the "war on terror".
it's a bogus war, having absolutely nothing to do with muslim extremists, but everything to do with oil and the control of oil.all being a culmination of america's secret and clandestine operations for the past 50 yrs.
i found a great interview with chalmers johnson,a former US foreign policy expert who wrote the book "blowback".
if you want to know the truth behind this war on terror, and why some politicians are saying it may
continue for 100 yrs.mr johnson lays out how we got into our present situation, and possible future fallout.
i recommend this interview.
please take the time to watch.

---------------------
well, if you want to get technical how does one wage war on terror?
terror- sharp, intense, overmastering fear
hmmm..... think about it like this. what would you say to someone who wanted to "wage a war on happiness"
i hope you would say "how in the hell are you going to wage a war on an emotion or a state of mind?"
and the war in iraq right now isn't about terror, it's about political agendas. and as a side note, you can support the troops without supporting the war.
in the words of lt. col. hal moore - hate war, love the american warrior.
and paul #10
stewart does MOCK news. they do jabs at everybody. they are not trying to be an authority on factual poilitcal news.
