1. Hillary Clinton was also on this episode of 60 Minutes. Why not show her clip too?

2. Great interview... I love listening to the man because he's an unbelievably engaging speaker

3. @1
Sorry Debbie, I never saw the Clinton Interview. Besides, I can't watch Hillary for more than two minutes before my brain switches to survival mode and I start harming myself with sharp objects.
Best I stay away from posting her clips.
/Just being honest folks :)

4. As usual, Obama makes his case very well. "Clinton" is a strong brand amongst democrats and republicans alike.
Obama is closer to Edwards as far as positions go. Obama is less beholden to special interests and other corporate money than Hillary. Those are reasons enough to support him over Hillary.
I hope the Obama momentum will carry him into the convention with a clear mandate over Hillary. We have met the enemy and it is the neocon. Obama is far less polarizing than Hillary.

5. Captain Negative speaks the truth here. I question the sincerity of the Clinton supporter. I had to ask myself,'who could possibly get that worked up about Hillary Clinton?' It seems obvious that they are women who love her because she is a woman too. But what kind of person is she? The campaign she has run has been dirty, employing innuendo from a distance so she retains her 'deniability' when she is called on it. I see vicious anti Obama postings in the blog world that pop up with machine like regularity. Like a machine too they seem stamped from the same dies. Would we expect the run of the mill clinton supporter to turn out these one point, on point messages, and with such fervor?
If she is nominated it will tear the democratic party to shreds. She can only win through the super delegates and that will mean an unelected nominee after 7 years of an unelected president.
This prospect makes me sad and all of the enthusiasm we have seen from so many different sectors, especially the young, will exhaust itself in one horrible sigh. I fear for my country.-t
Hi Jeff! We love ya man, don't let the haters get you down. We stand on guard for thee!

6. My new book "Move Beyond the Colored Line"; was released on Monday, January 22, 2008. It acknowledges and recognizes the fact that racial discrimination is a prevalent and consistent part of America's political culture, but it encourages African-Americans to push the boundaries. To not only dream of that higher mark, but to press towards it with deliberate and conscious vigor and persistency.
I love the editorials and blogs about Barak Obama and the sharing of personal political conflicts. I am an adjunct lecturer of American Government and I've seen and heard the moans and groans about politics and politicians. Yet, I've stood committed to teaching and encouraging students to recognize the fact that change has only been achieved through the action of "revolutionary thinkers and participants".
For far too long, messages of despair, distrust, hopelessness, and the struggle have reign supreme in the psyche of many African-Americans' minds...binding and sentencing them to life with boundaries. For far too long, the historically privileged have reign supreme in their own minds…blinding and sentencing them to life with both blatant and suppressed prejudices. I stand boldly and proudly saying...MOVE forward!
Move Beyond the Colored Line and be apart of the revolution of change. I remember the conversations I had with Americans from all walks of life and ethnic backgrounds about Barak Obama last year; many of those people's conversations have changed. Their attitudes have changed! I’m loving it, because it is a recognition and realization that Americans come in many shades, colors and ethnicities, and thus an viable and responsive American President could very well be a Black person!
I'm loving it, because I recognize, realize, and teach what our ancestors knew and understood long ago: Education and the Vote are the two most fundamental; yet POWERFUL tools that separate the haves and the have-nots.
Thanks for sharing and hopefully our friends will take time to read between the lines of racist overtures in their responses.

7. Since they 'Disappeared' Jeff, I just got a chance to see the most recent 4 so I am so pissed at Obama, over it.
Not pissed over it, pissed, over Obama. Today was an important vote in te Senate, FISA with retroactive immunity. S.2248. PASSED, 68 - 29
NOT VOTING - 3 Hmmmm, wonder who 2 of them were, ponder, thinking deeply, oh CLINTON AND OBAMA!!!!!
They 'Disappeared' Kucinich, been listening to Obama, great Orator, motivating a Youth vote, about time they stopped thinking of a vote as, hell, give me an anology, an afterthought. Needs a better healthcare reform, just socialize it, man, the US the great Democracy say SOCIALIZE, even if you are talking about dinner with friends and they are at the ready, pitchforks and torches. Then the 'YOU ARE A MUSLIM', as if that was a bad thing, "I am not Muslim, I am a Christian.", says Obama. the FIRST Barack, The FIRST.Amendment I. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;...... Presidents say " It doesn't matter, read the BILL OF RIGHTS."
Politicos and their aspirations. Final straw, NOT VOTING - OBAMA.
No, you vote on something that is going to put those criminals away, Room 641A in San Francisco, the AT&T building. NOT PRESIDENTIAL, not at all.
Since Jeff isn't actually 'Disappeared', he is psyops operating under codename 'Sherwood' or 'PondHockey', dependent upon operation.

9. What damn time did he get there, Jeff? I have the first Vote call, Yeas and Nays, he was given a special circumstance that allowed his vote! Drats, foiled once again...
I suppose Obama has my vote again, Shit it was a YEA, wasn't it? I should think so, his Vote Calls are great, s'pose Obama has my vote again. Thanks to you, Mr. Hoard!
AHA!! This was an amended amendment to the Amendment S.2248, not only did Obama get there for, THANK YOU SENATOR CHRIS DODD, Dodd got his in somehow, time for research. Thanks for update,Jeff, that asshole is going to veto this, I know it...
rhodalee at 3:30AM on Feb 13th 2008
10. Damn it, Jeff, that was the Dodd Amendment, not the final vote for S.2248. the Dodd Amendment, I think, S, 3908, or something, was the one we wanted, Obama was there. It was voted down which left S.2248, which was upheld, which OBAMA DID NOT MAKE!
I was happy for 3,57 seconds,,,....

11. Oh, I thought you were talking about Telecom Immunity. sorry
XXXXXXXXx
Telecom immunity remains intact as Democrats split on vote
* Elana Schor in Washington
* guardian.co.uk,
* Tuesday February 12 2008
Despite a boost from Barack Obama — but not the absent Hillary Clinton — Democratic senators today failed to stop the Bush administration from winning legal immunity for telecom companies that helped the government eavesdrop on Americans.

12. As despicable as I find my own country, and hope to find my jackboooted heel on bush' head someday soon, I usually ascribe to the tools available right here, thomas.gov, NYT and Washington Post both have links right there>>>>>, no fuss no U.K. Guardian muss, albeit a good rag, they are kinda in our league now, lying dogs that are complicit in every one of bush II moves, the country of England not the paper, not on many peoples Top 10.
Damn, the last part of the link is; /terrorism.usa. This is politics, actually Washington, FISA not terrorism, I suppose unless you are me.
That was one of the good things in Germany, i suppose since they've been through it they have the ability to discern between the people and the Government, so it was nice not being hated for a bit. The other was Scientology should be outlawed by now, which made me happy because it was going to be LALA Land Redux in Berlin, Cruise, Travolta the whole oddlot. It is hard enough having to go to L.A. because I have to, my oldest daughter is a writer and lives THERE, at least when she was in Manhattan I knew she was safe, except for one day, but crazy in New York, forget about it, crazy in L.A. whooo, weird crazy, not normal crazy.
Scientologists amok, accost you all over Hollyweird, hate the West Coast, no offense to anyone, I am from the NE coast, my preference, sure LA people do not care for us that much.
Taxi to the Dark Side, I have many tix for that flick, I think the 18th, don't remember, when the alarm for that day goes off et voila!

14. I'm blown away by all of the reporters that don't report. They only try to ram O'bama down our throats no matter what he says.
Someone needs to think. He's a bad guy. To set in a church & listen to that racist for 20 years totally goes back to the old saying, "Actions speak louder than words." Nuff Said
