McCain and Obama clashed on Iraq today. And Obama whooped him bad. Check out the dueling quotes here:
Obama can do this all day long during the general election campaign. Hillary can't, because she voted with John McCain to drive us into the ditch in Iraq as Obama said the other night in the debate. This alone is an overwhelming reason to vote for Obama in the primaries. And it will also be an overwhelming reason to vote for Obama over McCain in November.

1. Cent
You and Howard Dean matched up to campaign for Obama would cost the Democrats another election like the 2 Presidential Elections they lost that they should have won.
The Republicans would love to see Cenk, the big buffoon who laughs at himself while doing a story, on the campaign trail actively supporting the Democrat Choice for President.
Leave the debate to the two contenders, when picked, and let the Professionals and voters analyze the winners of any debates.
MCCain and Obama will have many good debates and the voters will enjoy watching them, without your help.

2. (Mr Okane - Would that be "Fity Cent"?) And I can't wait for this debate to progress further so Obama can share his naive and dangerous view of the world. This guy thinks he's going to talk to all the Islamic radical thugs, who supposedly didn't exist before GW Bush "created" them and somehow captivate them by the sheer brilliance of his personality, thus convincing them to give up their jihad against America and to embrace peace and love.

3. The oil conglomerates and defense contractors have the most expensive security guard service in the world, the United States military, in the ultimate "no bid contract." Tax payers are footing the bill to the tune of a billion dollars a week.
And, if the democrats don't blow the election, they can take the blame for not getting us out.
Stand proud repigs! You've done it! Mission Accomplished!

4. Dave, you oversimplify to make a point, which you don't make. Obama never said that Bush created the Islamic thugs. He said that AlQaeda in Iraq in did not exist before we invaded Iraq. This is true. They were mainly centralized, with well-known bases and camps in Afghanistan, and we left that country before we finished the job...we left to pick a fight with the enemy of our enemy. And now we are left with AlQaeda in Iraq, Iran puffing its chest (something it dared not do when Sadaam was around), and skyrocketing debt, and an utter lack of everything needed for safety, security, and quality of life in OUR homeland. If this is what you want, then speak proudly. Your guys have done it well!

5. Iraq is Bush's factory. It is Bush's industry. Its product is destruction and death, and it generates lots and lots of money. It is firmly set up now, and functioning properly, and pumping money up the chain. It takes money from 100's of millions, processes it in death and destruction, washes it in blood, and then pumps it neatly up the chain into the pockets of a select 100 or 200 wealthy men. If you don't believe this, open your eyes.

6. Hey Big Guy,
I'm as ready as anyone for getting our people out of Iraq. As far as that goes,I'm for getting our people out of Afganistan. NATO forces are helping there, but by and large, NATO is looking more and more like a paper tiger.
So here's my 2 cents: We have Iraq, healthcare, the economy and immigration. All 4 need to be resolved. Look at immigration, our current policy of having to sneak in and evade ICE for 5 years seems a little be shakey.
But we have choices, Hillary, Obama or McCain, to fix these issues. What a field. You want mediocrity
boss, pick anyone of them.

7. Gangster - Nice name. I didn't say Obama believes Bush created al Queda. But, anti-Bush critics have been arguing that we are causing recruitment to go up, ostensibly "creating" terrorists.
You guys have been playing the same one-string guitar and singing the same tune on Iraq. In spite of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, the surge is working. We can argue till the cows come home about whether terrorists and WMD were in Iraq before we got there.
We do know al Queda is there now, we're killing them and we haven't been attacked again since 911. Too bad for the Democrats, who are invested in defeat and disgrace. They've also changed the definition of Patriotism from love of one's country to hyper-partisan hatred for one's President.
It's ironic that many of the same Bush critics who have been attacking the President's intellect haven't the slightest idea what Obama's positions are on the issues, but instead faint like a bunch of teen age girls at a Beatles concert when the man speaks: "Hope! Change!" Oh Barrack, we just love you.

8. Obama whooping McCain? Only in a speedy-surrender competition. al Qaeda members must be licking their chops over the possibility that US foreign policy will be led by someone who thinks that holding hands, hope and ankle-grabbing will lead to peace in the world...

9. "There was no Al Queda in Iaq before we invaded" is a left wing talking point that maybe the leftists believe but that everybody else knows is nothing but a bunch of left wing claptrap.

10. Cenk,
Why did Osama bin Laden think he could attack the U.S.? Becasue he watched the Marines bug out of Beirut, on Ronald Reagan's orders, afther the barracks were bombed.
If we leave Iraq, that will invite more terror attacks here.
We have to stay in Iraq until the government is able to deal with the various problems that it faces.
Cenk, you say that you used to be a Republican.
Well, as a kid and a teenager, I was a staunch isolationist. I didn't see the need to get involved in other country's battles.
As an adult, I see the need to come to the aid of countries that want to become democratic and capitalistic.
Too bad you don't understand that.

11. Americans are sick of Bush and McCain's dirty little war. I can't wait for Obama to make that case against McCain in the general election. McCain will lose as will most republicans who support Bush's inept foreign policies.

12. Chinaskee (#9) - Help me out with some references on how a tyrant we had to remove would allow Al Queda, a sworn enemy, to operate in his country.

Actually, that information which you erroneously claim to be false comes out of a National Intelligence Estimate (NIE). Perhaps you should look into such things. The Democrats, whom which you are willing to lie so as to condemn as a result of your petty bias and lack of intelligence, have based that so-called "talking point" on a provable, tangible, legitimate FACT.
If you persist on lying to bolster your foolish and continually failing partisan agenda, you only end up making those you claim to support look as ignorant as yourself.

14. You may argue "till the cows come home" about WMDs & the presence of Al-Quaeda-in -Iraq pre -invasion, but only by sticking your fingers in your ears, closing your eyes & saying "I hear & see no proof"!
For the record - I'm against any announced "scedule" of with-drawal - such things only seem to work to te advantage of the spoilers & mischief makers! How often has a scheduled "peace plan" soured in the Arab - Israeli conflict because of the actions of a few terrorist bound to make trouble?
Better that all sides in the conflict realize that we will AT ANY TIME OF OUR CHOOSING leave them to their own devices! What happens then is entirely on their heads!
The one bright spot I see, is that Al-Quaeda has had just enough control over some of Iraq - they've convinced their felow Sunni's that they are not to be trusted - or followed!
Robert E. Quillen at 12:27PM on Feb 28th 2008
15. The fact is there was no Al Quada in Iraq or Alquada anywhere for that matter. They where sleepers just waiting to put a name to our pain. Anyone can be Al Quada just by calling themselves Alquada. They were always in Iraq, just sleeping and waiting for the right moment. They would have eventually over thrown Saddam and much easily taken control from him. We are approaching WW 3. Its inevitable. Time is at hand. Thats why im in Las Vegas getting used to the desert. No camels though.
