After adamantly claiming that she would not go after Obama's pledged delegates (those are the ones assigned by the elections in these primaries), Hillary Clinton has now reversed her position. She just told Newsweek that she will in fact try to get the pledges delegates that Obama won in the elections to change their votes and defy the voters of their states. All in order to crown Hillary Clinton the winner of the primary even if she loses the primary.
That's lower than low. That's not just dirty, that's Republican. A move straight out of the Karl Rove handbook.
It's also outright robbery. If she tries to steal this election by circumventing the will of the Democratic primary voters, I'll go to the Democratic convention with a pitchfork. And I'll bring an army with me. This cannot and will not stand.

47. There have been several high ranking democrat mayors and the like who have warned of riots in the streets should Nobama not receive the nomination. I have no doubt that you will go to the convention with a pitchfork. Riots and mob violence/mentality seem to rule in any or all occasions when things do not go the way the majority of blacks want them to. When MLK was viciously killed in the prime of his life everyone expected a time of national mourning. Instead we got riots,looting, burning, pillaging, murders and the list goes on......You might try being serious about threatening remarks lest everyone considers it ok to act like an absolute idiot. We have laws and I can assure you the rule of law will apply whichever way the ball bounces. I trust the democrats, don't you?

49. It's really simple. Obama has won lots of RED states. In the general election, McCain will take every one of them. Obama has LOST most of the swing blue states we need to win to avoid 100 years more of Iraq, and a president (McCain) who likes wars. Obama also cannot take Florida - he will lose the Cubans, the Jews (who do not trust him on Israel because of the beliefs of the church he has belonged to for 20 years and his equivocation on Sharpton), and most of the older voters (in Florida, Mccain qualifies for a junior discount). Obama will lose the states with large Hispanic populations - a lot of Hispanics voted for Bush, and will vote for McCain because he broke from the Republican party on the issue of immigration.
Plus with the party so divided, both should be on the ticket - Clinton-Obama makes more sense, but Obama-Clinton would also galvanize enough Democrats and independents that they might defeat McCain. Obama without Clinton - McCain will be in the White House in 2009.

Iran/Contra was one of the greatest crimes the republicans ever committed. By the end of George H.W. Bush' term, Lawrence Walsh was ready to indict fourteen additional administration members AND George Bush. Bush pardonded everyone who would have been able to send him to prison.
The republicans have a history of supporting right-wing dictatorships. Every time someone threatened American corporate profits, the repigs labeled them, "communist." Now all of our "enemies" are, "harboring terrorists," or are labeled, "terrorist regimes." Same thing, only the names have changed.
Now Columbia is having border skirmishes and McCain says we will go to their aid if he becomes President. He is also the guy who stood on a stage and sang, "Bomb. bomb, bomb - bomb, bomb Iran!"
Where are we going to get the troops to occupy Iraq, do the same thing to Iran *and* expand our militarism to South and Central America?
Do you have sons or grandsons? Do you want them serving in the desert or the jungle?

And yes, I do understand what Iraq is all about. My nephew was over there and there are a half dozen recent graduates from my son's high school who are over there, too. And I'm not a big fan of war. I grew up in the middle of the anti-war movement, but I realize now there are things worse than war. Like capitulation to tyrants.
