Governor Elliot Spitzer (D-NY) has basically admitted that he has used hookers in the past. So, has Senator David Vitter (R-LA). He admitted being with the DC Madam (and he ran his whole campaign in Louisiana on family values). So, if Elliot Spitzer has to resign in disgrace, why shouldn't Vitter resign as well?
There is no logical reason to hold them to a different standard. I know that it would be difficult for Spitzer to justify his own dalliances (and his own hypocrisies since he busted prostitution rings when he was Attorney General in New York) based on the lack of punishment for Vitter. But if he stays and fights, I would definitely bring this issue up if I was him. And make the country an offer, if Vitter resigns, than Spitzer should agree to do the same. If he doesn't, then Spitzer can say he has no reason to do what Republicans refuse to do for the same exact transgression.
And remember this amazing fact about Senator Vitter when he returned to the Senate:
You want to talk about two different reactions when it's a Republican and a Democrat -- this is the classic example. For the record, when the Vitter scandal broke, I said that he should not resign because his "crime" (I don't think it should be illegal for consenting adults to have sex with each other for money, in fact, I think it's insane that it's illegal) had nothing to do with his work in the Senate. On the other hand, the voters of Louisiana should toss him out on his sorry ass for pretending to give a damn about family values while he was sleeping with hookers all over DC.

31. See it is the company itself and the people who profit from the money laundering which the Feds are investigating. He bought the illegal service and they told him to pay those companies so he is not the one who the Fed was investigating. He has no finical gain from the money laundering so he is not involved in the investigation. He paid for an illegal service and that in of itself has nothing to do with money laundering. This is for he does not know nor has legal responsibility to know how they are reporting the money.
He is in trouble for being a john like Vetter being a john. Both of these people are johns they cheated on their wife and it sickens me that people try to make one of them not as bad just because he shares the same political beliefs.

Big difference as Vicky points out. The sad fact is you are the one blinded by fact with your Liberal Democrat allegiance. Was you for the impeachment of Slick Willy? Remember he wagged his finger and lied to the American people on top of suborning perjury from witnesses. He also committed a crime and lied to a grand jury. Did you call for him to step down out of respect for the American People? How about Democrat Barney Frank, should he resign? What about the Murdering Alcoholic Democrat Ted Kennedy, should he resign? Clean your own house first before you cast stones at others!!!
BTW: I think the citizens of Idaho are smart enough to not reelect Republican Larry Craig unlike the "Morons of Massachusetts" who have reelected Democrat scumbag Ted Kennedy for the past 44 years!!!!!!!

Is there any possibility that you will ever have an intelligent argument, or will you insist on wagging your fingers and typing nothing but fallacies and idiotic statements?
Furthermore, since this particular blog was about Spitzer and Ms. Vicky made a comparison to Vitter, my remarks stayed on point with the two weasels at hand. I never brought up Clinton nor did I compare anything to Clinton. Bill Clinton
Unfortunately, for you Bill Clinton seems to be your fixation and not mine.
Moreover, there are plenty of politician schmucks from both parties in Washington to spare. By the way, Sparcello, Ted Kennedy was dealt with in the Senate when his secretary/lover/companion died in the care accident.

Spitzers Sex life...............
The report said, "Members of Congress, who are now paid about

2004 to 2006, on average

35. Below is my defination of Pork Barrel.....
Former AG John Ashcroft, formed the Ashcroft Group when he left the White House,(a lobbying group),
He landed a no-bid contract immediately, contract being worth 28 million and possibly as much as 52 million dollars.
This great contract came from the Justice Department.
The contract specifies Ashcroft will be paid $750,000.00 a month plus hourly rates of $895.00 for additional help if he needs them.
And we are sending Spitzer to jail because he hired a hooker
You can yap and yap about Spitzers sex life... but you should know there are more important things to be
