Ever heard of the Obamorons? These are the morons who will cheer anything that Barack Obama says. Right now the Obamorons are wildly enthusiastic about their man's race speech, and are trying to persuade the rest of us to stop talking about the Reverend Jeremiah Wright and move on to talking about how Obama is the next best thing since Jesus Christ.
Obama does have some very good qualities, but it's clear he also has a dark side that is only now beginning to surface. Consider his bizarre analogies aimed at vindicating the Reverend Wright. Many of us, he argues, "disagree" with things that our pastors and family members have said. True, but how many of us have pastors who say stuff like the Reverend Wright? It's one thing to sit quietly while my pastor says things I don't agree with about evolution or the Rapture, quite another for Obama to sit quietly while his pastor says that America deserved to be attacked on 9/11 and that the U.S. government deliberately injected AIDS into the country. My guess is that even in the black church "God damn America!" is not exactly standard rhetoric. Certainly the Reverend Martin Luther King didn't talk like that.
Especially bizarre was Obama's analogy between the Reverend Wright and his white grandmother. According to Obama, grandma too was given to racial "stereotypes" and at one point confessed to her fear of black men. First of all Obama didn't cite what stereotypes his grandmother held. A stereotype is merely a generalization: it may be true or false, harmful or benign. As the sociological literature on the subject shows, most stereotypes contain at least a grain of truth, because stereotypes develop out of popular experience.
As I document in my book The End of Racism, fears of black men are rationally explained as the consequence of the fact that black men have the highest violent crime conviction rate of any group in our society. One out of four young black men are at any given time in prison, on probation, or on parole. Some years ago Jesse Jackson admitted that if he heard footsteps in the dark and turned back to find out that the person was white, he would feel relieved. The point here is that Obama's grandmother's views, as relayed by Obama, seem rooted in empirical facts and bear no comparison with the Reverend Wright's maniacal ravings.
Besides, she's his grandmother! We choose our pastors and mentors but we don't choose our grandparents. When Obama calls the Reverend Wright "family," this is because he selected him as a friend and teacher. At any point during the past two decades, Obama could have walked away from the pew. Wright is not "family" in the involuntary sense that Grandma is family. In addition, Obama's grandmother made her remarks in private, within the sanctity of the household. The Reverend Wright has been shouting his doctrine from the pulpit for decades. Private prejudice is much less harmful than public hate speech.
Obama is smart enough to know all this. So what is the explanation for the bizarre moral equivalence that he seeks to create between his pastor and his grandmother? It cannot be that she treated him badly, since Obama himself says she loved him more than anything in the world. The only other explanation is that Obama is that Obama is more attached to the radicalism of the Reverend Wright than he is to his kind old grandmother. He is quite willing to protect Wright, and his own presidential prospects, by throwing grandma under the bus. Hell of a guy, right Obamorons?

16. When you write a STATEMENT on this board, it is NOT being a raciest. Our Constitution gives us the right to speak how we feel. Try to understand the differance if you can. Color does not matter. This land has all kinds of different race living in it. Why get upset over the color of some ones skin? But I will get upset when a person will not tell the truth about them selves. If they cannot do that in the beginning , then they cannot be trusted. Obama loved his granny, but threw her to the curb, because he could get more votes from the people from his hate filled church. Cannot you see through that one ?? I live in a senior citizens building where there are a lot of Spanish people. We have not had any riots yet. But that is because we are mature and respect each others race and beliefs. A lesson most of us need to learn. Stop the hating. It only compounds the problem. It does not help it.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that Hillary Clinton was the most educated or outspoken First Lady. Two that come to mind that had a more profound effect on the country while First Lady, would be Eleanor Roosevelt and Lady Bird Johnson.

19. The author of the story is both correct and incorrect at the same time. You must understand that he uses stats to make his point, and everyone knows that stats are easily manipulated. Yes 25% of young Black men ( 18-35 years old), what he fails to point out is that roughly 90% of all victims of crime are victimized by someone of their own race. That is do to the fact that most people live, work, associate with their own race. A perfect example: the average white woman is afraid that the young Black gangbanger is going to steal from them or rape and murder them. However it will most likely be her own partner who kills her. Look at the stories like Scott Peterson. Bobby Cutts is a Black man that killed a White woman, but remember he was the father of her kids not some stranger in the night. I write this not for any other reason than to protect people, stop worrying about some percieved threat and pay attention to the ones around you. And of course some people will think," what does this guy know", I have a B.A. incriminal justice and have spent many years in the law enforcement arena to include surveillance, investigations, and prison facilities.

21. OBAMA'S HISTORY OF PLAYING DIRTY POLITICS
Obama went into this Democrat primary fight as an underdog to the Clintons and that Obama would have to beware of the Clintons dirty politics. Obama was thought to be a novice in the dirty politics game. Hmmmmm, one needs to look back a few years and see how deep into the slime Obama went during his 2004 US Illinois Senate campaign went.
Obama, the unknown, was running against a very popular Rep Jack Ryan. Obama was not given much of a chance in this election.
In 1999, the Ryan's, Jack and Jerri Ryan were divorced, and the records were sealed by the Judge at the request of both of the Ryan's for the best interest of their Autistic child. In 2004, at the beginning of the race for the Illinois US Senate seat, the Obama campaign people, through confidential sources, got numerous media outlets to bring a court action in Los Angeles to have the sealed divorce and custody files unsealed. Los Angeles Superior Court judge Robert Schnider rules that he would shield as much information as he could to protect the Ryan's son, but that Jack Ryans political candidacy made the publics right to know, "which may be embarrassing to him, which may be damaging to him and which may be damaging to the child", more important than the well being of the child. This action of unsealing the records were opposed to no avail by Jack and Jerri Ryan, and the Ryan's even had consented to unsealing the divorce records, but not the custody records in order to protect their Autistic son. In the court papers it was found and published that Jack Ryan had an abstract sexual appetite and that he had taken his wife Jerri to sex clubs in numerous cities to have sex in public. Once this became public, Jack Ryan, in order to protect his son from the news media and their stories, withdrew from the US Senate race.
The LA Judge reversed the earlier decision to seal the court papers in the best interest of the child and made these records public, knowing it would effect the Senate race in another state, Illinois. Judge Schnider also knew that as a result of the prior custody hearing, Jack Ryan had been awarded additional custody rights at the end of the hearing. Judge Schnider, A Democrat, did not act on behalf of the child, there was no need for the public to know, he only acted in behalf of the Obama campaign. The only winner in the Judges decision was Obama.
This was about as dirty of a political trick as one can pull. There was no need to hurt an Autistic child and it was no business of the public to know anything about the sexual life that invloved only a husband and his wife, no 3rd parties.
Judge Schnider's decision to open a prior judges sealing of court records was later overturned by a higher court.
Obama's campaign has been in the slime playing dirty politics before he had to battle the Clinton's

22. Another election is coming up and once again, our choices are absolutely horrendous. We either have McCain (who simply could not run this country), Obama (who lies on a daily basis ALREADY), or Hilary (a horrible senator and just as much of a flip-flopper as Kerry was). Wow, what great choices we have! I just can't wait to vote!
The only reason why I'm considering voting for Hilary is because I know that she has a lot of experience with politics and she also is married to Bill Clinton. Everybody hates Bill Clinton after all the events with Kosovo and his time as a governor, but guess what, all presidents suck in their own way. No president could possibly be able to fully understand all areas of the U.S. government. It's simply impossible. There are just too many problems to even admit.
The one thing I can say about McCain is that he has been a senator for a LONG time. Not only that, but he has had some very interesting ideas for reform as well as a very well-rounded view of what needs to be done to make this country run better. But if McCain is elected, we can all say goodbye to what is left of our weakened economy and welcome a new period in America: depression.
I'm scared people. It's not about Iraq anymore, it's not about 9/11 or terrorists. It's about OUR leader and what our OWN leader is going to do to somehow try to start making steps towards bettering the education in this country and focusing on DOMESTIC POLICY CHANGE!
Hopefully it'll happen because if I'm going to be a music educator, I certainly hope there will be music programs left in this god-forsaken country.

23. Interesting point of view, and sufficiently substantiated. Alas, it is missing the point completely.
So, what is exactly the accusation? That Obama delivered a speech designed to save his presidential prospects? Why shouldn't he? Or because he is lying? Obviously even Mr. D'Souza does not believe that Obama is lying. Probably then because Obama compared his kind grandma with his vitriolic pastor, and practically equated them. Well, did he?
As far as one can see, it is quite obvious that Obama repudiates his pastors' comments right from the beginning, but DOES NOT do the same for his grandma. Yes, his grandma has a fear of dark skinned folks at night, outside of her home. Yes, her fear was justified, as Mr. D'Souza points out, but where does Obama suggest that she was wrong to do so? NOWHERE.
What Obama points out for BOTH of them is that stereotypes must be eliminated, and they should be eliminated on both sides, but how?
To answer this question, we must examine the roots of those stereotypes. For the white side the explanation is already there: The blacks are violent, more violent than the non-blacks. Nevertheless, think Mr. D'Souza that you are right now the blacks of the international community. You have the most prisoners per capita in the world, and you have definately messed up into a quagmire in Iraq that is about to keep darkening your image in the world for decades to come. So, Mr. D'Souza, get into the black perspective of the world and answer to me: How are you going to clear your reputation in front of the rest of the world? How are you going to tackle this problem? Do you know the answer?
Obama knows the answer, and - unfortunately for you and the few last standing Crusaders and Neocons of the U.S.A., Obama is the answer...
...Because the blacks' stereotypes originate from the day they were dragged from their huts in Africa and forced to work as slaves for their white masters. Although the injustice of that era has been practically eradicted to the point that a black Simpson can kill his white wife and manage to stay free - at least until the next transgression - by using the same legalistic tricks that were employed by the whites to deny their black co-citizens until the 1960's, a (once black, at least) Jackson can get involved with pederasty and get along with it with similar tricks and as many numerous lawyers, and even a reverend Jackson can consult (now ex) president Clinton about his infidelities the moment that he is still conducting his own infidelities, and even a Farrakhan admits that the Latinos are now in the bottom of the social ladder in the U.S.A., not the blacks, still there is something amongst blacks (and few others) that sets them apart from the rest of the U.S. population that must be bridged ASAP.
This something is the lack of a proper heritage. The absence of a period in their history that could inspire them to great deeds. Something that they can feel proud of, not bitter. Face it, the Africans were and are still the most underdeveloped people in the world. This lack of an organized society (almost common for all the inhabitants of warm climates) is the real cause of their weakness, and also the threat that they represent towards the others. For the majority of them, being cold blooded and organized is equivalent to treason. Knowledge is a trait for whites and wimps, not themselves. Even if somebody amongst them ever manages to gain knowledge and use it to advance to the upper echalons of society, they simply brand him a traitor of their people who sold his soul, and has been the "excuse of the whites who allow one black amongst them in order to look fair and impartial to the world"...
...Therefore, being a white intelligible white person might be a difficult task, but still socially tolerable. Being a black intelligible person is unbearable, because the one who shall do so automatically becomes the outcast of his own "brothers and sisters", those very fools who sing gangsta rap and praise violence in all of its' forms.
No, it is not just pastor Wright who is woefully wrong at hating America and praising violence. So is a large portion of the black society (1/4 of them are criminals, remember Mr. D'Souza?) since a long time ago, and you should have seen it more than a decade ago when Tupak Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. exchanged accusations, violent verses and perhaps even bullets in front of a white crowd that seemed to enjoy the spectacle, at least at the time.
But what can you do to change those black thugs Mr. D'Souza? If Obama cannot disown them, and so believes all of the political establishment of the U.S.A., can you do otherwise? How are you going to solve the problem of Black violence? By reserving a couple of states exclusively for them, as some suggested (and shall you do with the bastards like Obama or yourself? Where shall they belong?) or expel from the country or what? Maybe you shall try the Australian recipe of stealing their children from them and educating them in the "white ways" as the Australians did, in order to solve the problem? Perhaps you should ask them what they have achieved by that measure, and why they abandoned it Mr. D'Souza.
Face it, you cannot disown the black community with all its' gangsta rappers and Simpsons and Jacksons and Farrakhans and everybody else any more than Obama does. This is because, the more you shall disown them, the more violent and dangerous they shall become, and you won't solve any problem.
Only the few blacks amongst them who have managed to overcome their legacy and embrace the "white ways" can show them the way to true freedom. Amongst them, the most likely to succeed is no other than Obama himself, mostly because he is not really either black or Muslim after all.
Youi see, if his only black and Muslim relative abandoned him since he was 2 years old, and he has been with a white family and into a Christian society ever since, he could have hardly picked up anything other than his surroundings had to offer. The man is white, face it. He does portray himself as a black in terms of skin tone, and he might be the greatest hypocrite of all times for that reason, but he has never claimed that the race was about color, nor did he ever promised special privileges to blacks as Jesse Jackson once did. He is not the stereotypical black candidate and that is why he is so successful with whites. He is so successful at making the whites following him, that the pride felt by the blacks at someone of their own leading the whites has overcome his lack of favoritism to the "black cause".
Above all, he is the man who can fulfill the role of the messiah of the black people who shall pull them out of their misery and into a dignified realization that they have to learn to act responsibly, and not just keep whinning to the whites for past injustices, and not just that. He can become the man who can fulfill the role of the messiah for the entire American people who have turned into the black sheep of the planet, in just about the same manner.
If he can achieve to pull that trick to you, you shall have to be obliged at his ability to mend the U.S.A. and, why not, perhaps the most of the planet for once again, and worry less about his hypocritical abilities. The politicians, after all, perform the most hypocritical job that there can be, since they have been devised. You can't find any truly honest person amongst them. Not even Kennedy was a saint, if you can recall his adulterous record that makes Clinton pale in comparison. You'd better concentrate upon more important aspects of your presidential candidates, like their ability to serve the country, in any manner than they can do so, even a hypocritical one...

______________________
And anyone who throws their grandmother under the bus is simply an unthinking ingrate. But thanks for insulting people, Fred! I'm sure that's the constructive dialog that Obama sought to inspire with his More Perfect Union speech.
It really doesn't matter what Jeremiah Wright said (in or out of context.) What matters is the brand of racial bigotry Obama expressed in his MPU speech where he needlessly emphasized white racism but never once mentioned black racism. (Instead he used the word anger as a euphemism for the black racism expressed in churches, in barber shops, and around the kitchen tables of America's black community.)
And where there was absolutely no incidence of white racism, Obama simply concocted whatever level of white racism he needed in a rather convoluted attempt at making some obscure point about racism in America. He even resorted to assigning white racism to one of his white campaign workers in South Carolina--even though she had never expressed ANY sort of racial bias. Why should Obama have fingered a white person again in his speech? He'd already mentioned his racist white grandmother (whom he regarded as a typical white person.) Why not speculate about the causes of black racism in this country to give the speech at least the appearance of racial balance?
I'll tell you why not, because Obama is a closet bigot...who's married to an adult woman who has seen the launch of the space shuttle, watched America defend Muslims in Bosnia, witnessed America's incredible generosity after the tsunami, and has enjoyed the benefits of America's prosperity but has never felt genuine pride in her country until her half-black husband had gained momentum in the Democratic primary.
This isn't about Jeremiah Wright or anyone's freedom of speech. This is about Obama's clear lack of better judgment and his obvious bigotry.
A vote for Obama is a vote for continued black racism in America. Plain and simple.

And since Obama says so, it MUST be true!
Shit...try offering some proof of that accusation. He can't offer proof because there is NO proof. And if there is even just one person out there who is NOT a racist then Obama's cute little one-to-one correspondence story about white racism is completely invalidated.
The FACT is, however, that there are MANY people in the world who are not the least bit racist.
For Obama to speculate about and stereotype white racism without addressing black racism in America is racist in and of itself! And THAT is the very kernel of America's race issue: black denial of their own racism, which (according to Obama himself) is more widespread than whites had ever imagined.
I can only speak for my kitchen table, but the only time race comes up at that table is when some poor white schmuck like Don Imus endures lopsided assaults on his character and career for using an innocent phrase like "nappy-headed" to describe a group of women of mixed races.
My family doesn't go to the barber shop to talk about spics, niggers, kikes, rag heads, slopes, cheddar heads, crackers, or mooks of any stripe.
Apparently though, black Americans do so on a routine basis (according to Barack Obama.) When we think about that admission by Obama we can ask only one question: who are the REAL racists in America?
But don't expect an answer. The standing policy is to deny, deny, deny!
