16. I always get a chuckle out of people who tout the virtues of our "liberal" forefathers one day and then denounce them as slavekeeping landstealers the next. I guess it depends on the audience.
PS. The likes of Jefferson and Washington, or even FDR, Truman, and JFK would find no welcome from the visioneers of a modernly liberal America.

17. Jack, the conservatives wanted to stay with England and Washington helped break away. That's conservative? Also, it ABSOLUTELY was freedom from religion that drove people to the colonies. In many European countries, if one did follow the established national religion they could be jailed or worse. People most certainly did flee to the colonies to escape religion. You ought to open up a book sometime.

18. Okane, why don't you get your fat, pampered ass a uniform and go to Iraq? Take your buddy, Dave, with you.

21. Jessee is right - the Dems don't have a Karl Rove-like figure to go after the Republican nominees, we are too nice or too dumb, and the Republican party has been teflon since Reagan, nothing sticks as an accusation! The Dems can't nominate an electable candidate, and we can't defend our nominee and attack the Repub nominee, so we may lose yet another election to the corrupt, power-mongering pandering Republicans!

24. Cenk-
It is no surprise that you cut off Jesse Ventura just after he finished talking about Bush, Cheney and McCain.
Why did you cut off Ventura's comments about Obama and Hillary?????????? Ventura is a pleasure to listen to and I have no arguement with what he says, BUT, I would have loved to hear the part you EDITED, which I will, soon, then get back to you.
Isn't that something about the Obama lie about taking money from Big Oil.

25. What Cenk hides from you on what Jesse Ventura also said Larry King show.
Obama- He would still be on the strings of the eltist Democrats and would do what he is told. Look, these Spineless Democrats were sent a clear message in the 2006 elections saying get us out of Iraq. Now all we keep getting from the Democrats is cheap talk. Nothing will change is Obama is elected.
All we keep getting from the 2 party dictatorship is Bush's and Clintons. If you include Bush Sr when he was Vice Pres under Reagan, we have a monarchy of Clinton's_Bush's since 1980. Hillary would be no charnge except another 8 years of the same we have had since 1980.
Jesse Ventura does not like the Republican or Democrat Parties.
Cenk-now I can see why you edited the Larry King-Jesse Ventura. You just cannot stand the whole truth, Republican and Democrats being bashed by Ventura, just showing what YOU, CENK, pick for us to see. CENSORSHIP by Cenk
Anyone what to hear all of Ventura King show, Youtube got it

26. Bush regime: It is not a regime, it is an administration; if it is a regime,we would be living like the Iraqi's did under Saddaam Hussein. Just how many people dodged the draft back in the day to not go to Vietnam? Those who didn't go got waivers and some became our leaders. So what. They served in a different capacity and yes, they got waivers probably because they were connected in some way. Now, for Dick Cheney - I would rather have him in office than B. Hussein Obama, Hillary or even McCain. Any VP who told a senator to go "F" himself is one we should admire. The main problem in DC is not the oval office but the lawmakers, especially the senators. They are very powerful and most are very dirty - we just have to catch them. Anyone who puts down their country like a lot of the democratic leaders do, need to learn patriotism. We should get these people out of office, hell we should limit them to two terms like we do the President. Think of Kennedy - he's been their since Vietnam.
As for the war in Iraq, McCain did not say we would be there a hundred years. Obama did. McCain stated that we would have presence in Iraq. Why can't people understand this. Think of Japan and Europe. We've had a presence there sincer WWII. Now, are we still engaged in this war? No, we stayed to help rebuild not only the countries but relations. They currently are called allies.
America, get a grip. We are never going to be a hundred percent happy with any president and their administration. They are human too and not perfect. We need to start being more patriotic and have respect. OJ Simpson would get more respect if he was walking down a street in any city but our president would be ridiculed. This is not only wrong but actually idiotic.

27. Jessie,is right Bush,Cheney,Rumsfield and all there cronies are chicken hawks, they have ruined the respect that other countries have for this great nation. They should be tried for treason and hanged on the white house lawns. America has been lied too,ripped-off and is still being crapped on by these corrupt and un-lawful trators. What is so sad,is that nothing will ever be done to this group of liars, killers and thieves, because so many americans believe these republicians-crooks.

28. The liberal ideology is not freedom from religion rather it is freedom of choice. People are free to choice to either be religious or not religious. They are also free to choice which religion they want to follow. It is sad that some close minded conservative will not open up a book or learn what they are talking about before they spew their misinformation in any public forum. Now the founding fathers were liberal for they were not convention, conformist, who follow the traditions of the times. It is simple when someone or a group of people support an avant-garde idea or concept they are liberal. The conservatives who follow the convention ideas of the times were the British loyalist. They wanted to maintain the status-quo. See the idea of a democratic elected government with no monarch is accepted so they idea of democratic republic is now conservative but at the time they were liberals.

29. Brian:
Merely a matter of semantics. Freedom of religion or Freedom from Religion? Depends on how you want to look at it. They left to escape government imposed religion to form a country where you could practice whatever religion you wanted without government interference. Just a matter of words..but that's the difference.
