There are several overwhelming reasons why Hillary Clinton's argument's about the popular vote is absolute nonsense. She argues that she is winning the popular vote and that is what should matter in figuring out who the nominee will be. Neither one of these things is remotely true for the reasons we explain below:

61. However, Obama did not campaign aggressively in FL and MI states whose vote was taken away for violating the rules, so why do you make a case that he is the bad guy"
WRONG. Barack Obama IS a "bad guy" for conspiring to deprive the voters of two whole states of the right to vote. Sure, Hillary Clinton is a little better. NO ONE "campaigned" in Michigan or Florida becasue the Democratic candidates MADE A DEAL the deprive the voters of their right to vote--a deal the Republican candidates REFUSED to make.
But Barack Obama is a worse HYPOCRITE than Hillary Clinton. His campaing went to FEDERAL COURT in OHIO to keep polls open because the "rules" (Ohio election law) required that the polls CLOSE at 7 p.m. Obama argued that the "sacred right to vote" would be denied by a strict application of the "rules", since circumstances had allegedly made it difficult for some voters to vote. HYPOCRITE, thy name is "Obama".

63. Hillary Clinton must have been hoping we Hoosiers have short memories when she decided to take Magnequench as her main talking point in Valparaiso. Apparently Evan Bayh didn't tell her the company was sold in 1995 to an investment group, Sextant, that included two Chinese companies. Her husband was president at the time and allowed this to happen.
In 1995, Beijing San Huan New Material High-Tech Inc. and China National Non-Ferrous Metals Import & Export Corp. partnered with an investment firm, the Sextant Group Inc., to acquire Magnequench.
The sale required approval from the Committee on Foreign Investments in the U.S. That committee is chaired by the secretary of the treasury. It was approved by the committee even though it was known that China National Non-Ferrous Metals is run under the State Council, an arm of the Chinese government.
That same year, it was found by the U.S. International Trade Commission that the San Huan New Materials was associated with the Chinese government and was engaged in illegal practices that harmed domestic industry.
The Clinton White House had one more chance in 1999 to stop the move when the Anderson, Ind., plant shut down and started shipping the equipment to China, but it failed to act. Can we really trust a Clinton not to let our jobs and national security go overseas?

65. No Cenk, your inflamatory analysis is incorrect.
WHO HAS THE MOST VOTES. CLINTON.
Now lets qualify that answer. Should Michigan and Fla. votes count? One point for Obama.
Should the votes in the small "Red States" count? Well yes, but are they really as meaningful? 1/2 point for Clinton.
What about these caucases? I don't know about you, but I resent 4,000 2 O'clock caucus members choosing my candidate. 1/2 point for Clinton.
Now about your specious arguments about stopping the primary now. I don't know about you but I would be damned mad if someone told me my vote shouldn't count.
My point is, that you and other members of the press are trying to shape this primary with misrepresentations, half-truths, innuendo and poorly formed arguments.
Face it Cenk, the statement that Clinton has more votes is not absurd, it is true. Com'on Cenk, lets be truthful and fair to everybody.

66. Cenk,
Not only did Ronald Reagan take his race against Gerald Ford all the way to the convention in 1976, but Ted Kennedy took his race against Jimmy Carter all the way to the convention in 1980.
And Jimmy Carter had a greater lead than Ford did in '76 or Obama currently has.
I was watching Howard Fineman on Charlie Rose's show the other night, and Harold Ickes was working the floor at Madsion Sq. Garden in 1980, still trying to round up uncommitted delegates in a hopeless cause.
So let Hillary have her fight. She feels just as entitled to the nomination as any member of the Kennedy clan has.

69. Remember Hilliary and Bill are in this as a win at all costs mentality. They dont CARE about the American people, the voters, African Americans, women, union leaders, gays, lesbians, transgenders. Even the democrat Party. All have been just vehicles to get them back into power. Remember, every vote counts...as long as it counts for Hilliary. Otherwise...throw them out. Also remember that she and bill will say to the end..that when she loses..it will have been stolen from them. That SHE really won. Remember even today after recounts and such....idiots in the democrat Party STILL say President Bush lost in 2000.

70. Kristine: good point..although your being a clinton supporter before and now belies reason and logic..hey you can support whoever you want. That being said..your comment about the mud slinging is accurate. Its tiresome to hear about "negative" campaigning as being somehow wrong. The thing is that if you make sure NOT to go "negative"then your campaign is looked at as a lightweight with no real commentary on the issues. Politics is about being negative. I'm better than the other candidate, because my policies are better than theirs. You build up your side by tearing down the other side. then some people call it "negative". Poltics have been thisway from the beginning. And how better to get them answer questions honestly by asking "the other side said this...is that accurate?"

72. As I read these comments, the only thing that I am able to come up with is that I feel trapped in an inferno of mindless followers with little to absolutely no knowledge of the crap they spew.
There is no question that the snippets of Pastor Wright’s comments we have all seen and heard for three trillion times now are at best disgusting and at their worst even more disgusting. No, more so than those of Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson and the Idiot, that called the Catholic Church “the great whore”. I wonder if any of these other Pastors and or Preachers ever served in the Marines for six years? I also wonder why most of us did not get our nerves frazzled and our shorts all tight up in knots when these Yahoos also uttered these despicable words?
Why is it that all these intellectual and thought provoking bloggers do not take a step back look at our economy and the price of oil and the war and all those other little things that are drowning our country, destroying it a little bit at a time. Use all of the issues we are all facing together and discuss that instead of the idiotic rhetoric we bog ourselves down with and never accomplish a single thing.
As I see the situation it appears very simple to me, we can vote for the old man and in the end get exactly what we deserve for our very own ignorance and stupidity. On the other hand we can shut the hell up about Hillary and Obama, unite as one people and run the Bush Junta and what seems to pass for republicans these days the hell out of town. The choice is obviously simple when once you take a real close listen to McCain’s ideals and plans regarding Iraq, (God forbid IRAN…), health care (with his plan for health care, he would not qualify for coverage, due to his pre-existing condition). Shall we even bother to discuss the man’s vast knowledge of the economy? How many of you bloggers even realize that he voted against raising the minimum wage seven times? How many of you know that this war hero (no doubt about it, he is a war hero. We must never forget what he and gave up did for our nation) will not sign his name to the Veterans new bill?
Man, I really feel trapped in an inferno of mindless Zombies.

"Man, I really feel trapped in an inferno of mindless Zombies."

Amen.
The democrats screwed up by letting the media ignore John Edwards for the "jucier" candidates. Hate to say it, but I'm getting ready for another four years of the, "Bush-Cheney-McCain-Neoconservative Junta."
Given the simple task of replacing the most un-popular (p)Resident in any of our lifetimes, we can count on the democrats to screw it up.
